So I just realized smth from the new animated short (which I also posted abt because Arles hands becoming less dark when she's with Clervie is so wholesome but so sad) BUT

I think she'll have second thoughts abt making Lyney be the next head of the hearth cuz she'll realize she's becoming like the previous knave or "Mother" who forced the children to compete to become "king"

She even uses the term "King" in the trailer iirc instead of "head of the house of the hearth" or just "head" or "father" or "knave"

And we know she doesn't want to be like the previous head because instead of being a "mother" that acts like she cares but actually doesnt, she calls herself a "strict and unfeeling father" despite the fact that she clearly does care

So maybe she'll realize she's becoming like the previous knave, forcing Lyney to do things he doesn't want to so he'll become the next "king", even if those things don't involve killing other house members

She's clearly empathetic considering she held a funeral for a literal spider, so it's not like she has no feelings or emotions at all

And pierro called her "poor, mad, cursed knave" suggesting she didn't really want to be the next knave—another reason she might empathize with Lyney and have second thoughts

AND their fight also mirrors hers—she fought alone against her "mother" after all her family died, but because of Arle's changes Lyney fights his "father" with the help of his siblings

And hopefully the outcome won't be one of them dying

SCREAMING CRYING THROWING UP WTF

everyone was expecting her fight to be her testing / training the Traveler BUT THIS!?!?!

(spoilers for Lyney / Lynette / Freminet lore, it's found in their character bios / voicelines but doesn't spoil anything in the archon quests)

The siblings standing up to her and her fighting them???!??! This is so insane I—

It definitely looks serious considering that she's gone into her crazy balemoon form, and the fact that Freminet is blocking her very deadly looking strike and also going straight for her head

I know Lyney has a voiceline about having to become the next head of the House of the Hearth, and not wanting us to tell his siblings because they'll worry

Perhaps they find out here and all 3 decide to convince Arle to let Lyney make his own decision about that matter

It also seems that they got assigned a mission they don't want to complete, perhaps involving someone they know or don't want to kill (Freminet saying Lyney is hiding the person Father is looking for, Lynette asking why Arle's backed them into a corner, etc)

Judging by the opening lines of the trailer (some familiar faces not being present, etc) and details in the siblings' voicelines it's clear they're sent on dangerous missions and are always avoiding death by the skin of their teeth, and definitely aren't living normal lives

Also Freminet says that crying is looked down on / considered weak by Arle, so he always bottles up his emotions and lets them out at the literal bottom of the ocean; their childhood was definitely not great, even if Arle saved them from even worse fates

Like they never really experienced a normal childhood so I doubt they realize that the stuff going on in the House of the Hearth isn't anywhere near ideal

The special program also implies that Arle is very strict and the siblings have been affected negatively by this (stuff Daman / Lyney's VA says, etc)

I really hope that Arle sees their logic and backs down so I don't feel entirely terrible about pulling for her / liking her character because if she's willing to kill any of the siblings I'm going to be absolutely furious at her—

We do know she cares about them and gets very angry when they're mistreated or when they want to risk their lives when their are other options (her anger at people in Freminet / Lynette's past and when Lyney wants to risk his life and get a delusion to be able to perform on the same level as Lynette, before he got his vision)

ALSO I'm not going to ramble abt this as much but CYNO'S STORY QUEST!??!?!? From what I gather it seems Sethos was another candidate to receive the god's power (that Cyno has) and feels that he should have gotten it rather than Cyno for some reason?? Can't wait to see what's up with that as well

(also not Cyno and Yoimiya getting second story quests before Venti help—)

I JUST NOTICED THIS DETAIL IM FREAKING OUT

When Arle is sad abt her spider dying her curse acts up and her hands get darker, then they become less dark until they're almost entirely normal when she's with Clervie, but once Clervie dies they blacken again and the markings, long nails, and red nails show up

Also maybe she made her title "Father" so she wouldn't have to hear herself referred to with the same title as the previous Knave who killed the person who was seemingly her only friend

Let me explain, from my belief (or from i have been told) Satan has a lot of sons but Satan sons would betray Satan, so he killed them. So i feel like Adam is the next anti-Christ from sus gabrial. Thats why they look alike.

What if there is actually nothing outside Amphibia? It's all been a lie.

So who wants to bet Caleb fell in love with a witch, which is why Belos mentions Hunter is a *better* version of his friend. Because he'd never fall for 'evil.' I'm assuming they were both witch hunters.

Also AHHhhh that episode!! Oh my God!!

The Core was formed by Amphibia's greatest minds. As Andrias so proudly stated his ancestors were glorious conquerors. Meaning they most likely wanted a type of let's say super computer to help them conquer world's, something that always thinks ahead and strategies. These great minds probably volunteered and the only thing they've ever known is we'll conquering. Then this being comes to life with it on it's mind and is secured in a basement surrounded by others who only know conqeroring and a newt who craves revenge for 1,000 years. However, Marcy has just joined the party a being who knows more then just world domination.

This theory sorta plays into the while trying to debunk the prophecy Andrias unknowingly fuels it. Plus the theory that Anne and Marcy got switched, perhaps Anne was suppose to be wit and Marcy heart considering the first temples line "keeper of the box." Meaning that while giving his robo lord a host Andrias also gave it a heart. Which could spell doom for Andrias plans.

Not sure how well this theory holds up especially considering that the Core is looking to be the big bad, but this show loves to throw curve balls. For all we know Core is a red herring and Mother of Olms is the bad guy(I still want Andrias taken down). We'll just have to wait and see hopefully not too long.

But it's just a theory, a Amphibia theory!

Andrias said the Core was created right? Does that mean Amphibia created a fake deity that will lead them to thier false destiny, and the Mother of Olms is the actual deity who will lead them to thier real destiny?

One thing that fuels my belief that Sasha & Marcy or atleast one of them will stay in Amphibia after the show. Is the fact that Amphibia is treated as a real place. In a typical isekai(or atleast the ones I've seen). The protagonist is spired away learns lessons then returns to the real world. There's stakes but the world is treated like a fantasy world. In Amphibia however they make sure to drill it into the audience that Amphibia is a real world with real stakes. So there was never really any escape form reality, just a change of location.

*But I'm just theorizing anything can happen at this point, and I'm very excited to see!!

Okay this can possibly go two ways, one possesed Marcy succefully takes Anne's powers somehow. Or two Anne sacrifices her powers to save Marcy.

Cause from the intro we know the Earth invasion happens.

No matter what though S3 gonna be lit!!

Some people have already theorized this shout out to them, so I'm gonna through my hat in the ring.

I gonna predict that this scene

Takes place after Andrias sends this robot after Anne. Of course Anne beats the robot so Andrias is like "hmm how am I gonna get her gem power? Oh I know I'll send her friend to do it for me"

So he let's Yunnan and Olivia rescue Marcy.

Now Marcy is still herself not a spy or brainwashed, However this tech chest plate is possibly where the Night resides. And it's able to take control of Marcy whenever it wants to.

It'll make for some interesting conflict because Anne might need to choose between freeing Marcy and the world being taken over. If that chest plate is the only thing keeping her alive.

Either way I am pumped for Season 3!!!

🕯🕯Manifesting a S3 episode post Marcy's rescue where King Andrias and the Night are regrouping. So Wartwood(now the rebellion) decided to take this opportunity and throw a party to let loose a little and keep moral up. We finally get to see Sasha in a suit and her and Marcy share a slow dance with each other. Also Lady Olivia and General Yunnan slow dance too. Then the party gets crashed by Andrias' robots and we get a cool fight with everybody in their fancy clothes!🕯🕯

To add a little fuel to the Hop-Pop may die theory.

Grime who is Sasha's toad dad at this point saves her at the end of S1.

Andrias(bitch ass) who was possibly a father figure to Marcy literally back stabed her at the end of S2.

So thats two father figures evolved with saving/ending their charges lives. So applying that to the rule of three.

Hop-Pop who is essentially Anne's grand father might sacrifice himself for her or be envoled with saving her life at the end of S3. Something like that.

Hopefully some of this makes sense

Theory time

Okay so I've been seeing a lot of theories about how humans have been to Amphibia before. Also the time loop theory. So here's something I've been thinking. We all know the basement crypt from Sleepover To End All Sleepovers.

So what exactly are in all these coffins?

Now they could all be filled with amphibian skeletons given here in this pic. Possibly Andrias ancestors. However they do seem to really focus on this room. And it might not be just because those ghost/aliens things were in there. So what if come S3 one of the girls travels down there and accidentally opens one and out pops a HUMAN SKELETON! Why human skeletons though? Well if its a time loop reason it could be the skeletons of prophecy holders from before.

Which would be creepy. Or it could just be skeletons from former living humans.

Does this theory make a whole lot of sense? Probably not. Will it most likely not be true? Possibly. But either way I'm interested to see if this room or the entire basement as a whole comes into play later.

And the Skipman they never really followed up on that did they

But what if Marcy's body is just possessed by the Night and like her soul is free. Then Maddie can just summon her and we just have ghost Marcy. Or she finds a temporary vessel for herself. We can get some Sasha and Marcy bonding and an epic battle of Marcy fighting her own body.

Theory time

Is it to soon for theories about S3 idk but here we go!

So my theory is Marcy gets possessed by the Night. But then at the mid season finale or actual finale Anne and Sasha free her. So then the Night decides to possess king Andrias. So he can have another vessel and he can concure and rule. The Night could very well be using Andrias the same way Andrias was using Marcy. Feeding into Andrias vulnerability to get what he wants. It would make for an interesting parallel. I don't think any of us would mind Andrias being back stabbed though lol.

Or maybe Andrias and the Night fuse?

I CAN'T be the only the only one that thinks Andy's Dinosaur Adventures was inspired by Doctor Who, right? I mean, it's about someone who travels through time via a seemingly normal object (in Andy's case, a clock), and solves problems with it.

Xsuper. So that’s what it reads on the label, I couldn’t decipher it before.

Superbia is pride, the only sin we have left, so obviously the Master of Masters should have a name like that. So, I guess this could be seen as support for my theory that the box contains the master’s heartless, while also showing us where the idea of adding a X to the name of a Nobody may have come from.

The fact that it is labelled might also mean, that we will get to see the Master of Masters in KH3. Someone who knows who Xsuper is might open the box to kill the heartless and we will see the revival of the Master of Masters as a whole person. I guess that would make a pretty good plot point.

Also, is it just my impression or does the label make the box look even more like a coffin?

Thoughts on the box

My guess is that it contains the Master of Masters’ heartless.

If we assume the motive for his – in my opinion very questionable – actions is, well, scientific interest in the future, then we can conclude that the probability of him wanting to see that future for himself in person, or in fact, to change it to his liking, is quite high.

Now, we know time travel does exist in the Kingdom Hearts universe. The one, big restriction to it is the fact that a version of the person using it, must already exist in the time they wish to travel to. This also means, if one would find a way to create an immortal version of themselves, they could travel into every moment in the future.

To my knowledge, there never was any official statement about whether heartless die of natural causes or not, but I strongly assume they don’t, for various, obvious reasons. (One of them being that it would take the whole drama out of it, if people, who lost their hearts just randomly became “Somebodies” again after both their heartless and their Nobody died of old age.) More importantly though, we were told in the first game, that the only way to kill a heartless is the keyblade. Now, if we were to put a heartless in a place noone could find it, say, a box noone is ever supposed to open, then yes, we can assume this heartless would truly be immortal.

Creating a heartless out of one’s own heart might be a dangerous task, but I am sure it wouldn’t pose much of a problem to a person like the Master of Masters. Also, there seems to be a way to assure the Nobody resulting from extracting a heart would be a high ranked one, seeing how all of Ansem’s apprentices (as well as Lea and Isa, who lost their hearts in the same room, and therefore possibly also at the same time as the others) kept their human forms and memories. Of course the Master of Masters would know about this way, because the keyblade used was his “gazing eye” that allows him to see the future.

Oh, and would you look at which page the Master of Masters has so conveniently opened in the scene we get to see the box.

Plus, the page we are shown, when he explains why Luxu won’t get one of the Books of Prophecies. (*)

By “temporal paradoxes” he might have meant, that he fears Luxu might kill the heartless inside the box if he knew what future would await this world if he does as the Master of Masters tells him to. (**) Namely, not just one, but two keyblade wars.

I originally thought, that Master Xehanort might somehow be the one behind everything, but now I am certain that I was wrong. It’s not Xehanort who started all of this, he couldn’t have travelled into the past, because there was no version of him there. Also, he can’t be the Master of Masters, because we saw him being a child at the same time as Eraqus in the KH3 trailer and they certainly didn’t live since the age of fairy tales.

No, I assume that the brain behind all of it, our real antagonist in the Kingdom Hearts series, is not Xehanort, it’s the Master of Masters. He couldn’t have pulled all of this off alone though, because time is always limited when travelling into the future, so he needed a successor. 

And Xehanort is the one he found.

Notes

(*) Of course, it would be possible to argue that the pages shown are mere coincidence, but I highly doubt that. Both of them were highlighted in the movie (especially the shadow heartless, you can’t overlook it even if you tried) and if it wasn’t for a reason, then why would they have done that?

(**) To be honest, I am a bit unsure about this part, because according to the movie, the Book of Prophecies ends with the beginning of the first keyblade war. Still, there has to be something in it that might give Luxu an idea about the future beyond the keyblade war or he couldn’t possibly cause any temporal paradoxes because of it. Alternatively, he may have been able to prevent the first keyblade war from happening, had he been in possession of the information from the book. I find that unlikely though, because Ira still fell for the Master of Masters’ scheme even with analyzing the book in painstaking detail. Perhaps even because of doing so.

Edit: The label on the box reads Xsuper (as can be seen here). Which contains parts of the word Superbia and an X. This might support the theory of the Master of Masters being a Nobody and the box containing his heartless. (Of course it could also mean, the box contains the Nobody and he is a heartless, but I think it makes more sense the other way around, as the Nobody is usually the entity who still looks and thinks like a whole person.) 

Also, it could be totally unrelated to the whole theory, and the Master of Masters just wanted to mark his belongings, but I do believe, the fact that his name contains an X, where there isn’t supposed to be one, is a hint.

Additional Thoughts

There are still two things that bother me about this movie.

The first one is the symbol both the Master of Masters and Luxu have on the zipper of their coats.

It reminded me of the Unversed insignia, but it might just as well be something completely new.

The second thing is the fact that the Master of Masters’ keyblade is called “No Name” in the movie. Maybe it wasn’t meant as a name by the characters (though it probably was by Luxu, see the capital letters), but it certainly has to be a hint for us. I can only guess, but I think it might have been meant to show the connection to Xehanort, seeing how the “real” No Name keyblade does look similar to the one used by the young Xehanort.

Is Zoe’s Last Name a Coincidence?

So maybe I’m reading too much into this, and maybe it’s just one big coincidence, but Zoe’s last name is Benson, which means exactly what it means, “son of ben”. Now, Taissa Farmiga previous character on AHS was Violet, and Violet’s father was named Ben.

So is it a joke that they picked Benson as Zoe’s last name, or reference to Murder House? Am I reading too much into this and it’s probably just a coincidence? Am I late to the party and everyone had already figured it out back in 2013? Probably all of the above...

… if you go back in time does that negate your current age? Like if u are ten, go back a hundred years, are you ten, zero, or negative ninety?
