The Rookie intern seemed to have woken up from a long slumber!π€π
I waited until the season ended to share my honest views on the Chenford breakup. While I'm optimistic they'll find their way back to each other eventually, I couldn't help but feel a bit conflicted about how it was handled. It seems Alexi may have misjudged what we as fans truly want by introducing a "will they, won't they" dynamic at this point. Perhaps this trope would have been better suited for season 5, allowing for more organic development. I believe many of us would have cherished those sweet, flirtatious moments between Lucy and Tim more deeply had they been given earlier in the series rather than now.
Instead, we were presented with a strong, supportive partnership between Chenford thus making their breakup even more perplexing. Additionally, I couldn't help but feel that portraying Lucy supporting Tim through his mental health struggles would have been a more impactful storyline, highlighting the importance of companionship during difficult times.
Please donβt hate me for this; like everyone else, I am entitled to my views.
The way Tim puts his hands back in his pockets to stop himself from pulling Lucy into another hug is just heartbreaking. π
Now, I can d*e a happy person!π
SOME OF THE BADASS CHENFORD MOMENT ALONG WITH CELINA AND AARON!π
Oh, I'M SUPER PSYCHED for EPISODE 6X08!!π₯Ήπ±π«Ά
I've finally pushed myself to rewatch 6X06 again. I often rewatch a rookie episode multiple times a week, especially on weekends (yes, I know, no life). But this rewatch was really, really hard. I know Chenford are endgame, and this breakup is just a bump in the road, but it still hurts.
However, my issue with the breakup is why did the writers spend over five years building this beautiful love story just to tear them apart? Haven't Tim and Lucy been through enough already? Did they really need more pain? Drama is one thing, but is a breakup the only way to create it?
Lucy and Tim have been shown as two people who healed each other in more ways than one, thus it becomes more difficult to see how Tim walked away from Lucy giving her a new trauma for life. This trauma is definitely leaving a scar on her for life as she is someone who often struggles with self-doubt, spiraling thoughts, and a lack of validation from her parents. Thus, losing Tim, the one person who made her feel good about herself, will wreck her in devastating ways. How will she ever cope? How will she trust anyone ever again? How will she survive losing the man she considered home?
Hence, I think bringing them back together this time will be tough for the writers. They've complicated the whole journey back to each other quite difficult if not impossible.
THE MOST AWAITED PARALLEL IS ALL SET TO GRACE OUR SCREENS TONIGHT!π«£π₯Ήπ«Ά
They better not repeat the Rookie Blue thing and get Tim a child from some other woman. I'll not tolerate that. That's a BIG NO!

"I hate accidents except when we went from friends to this
Uh huh, that's right
Darling, you're the one I want
In paper rings, in picture frames, in dirty dreams
Oh, you're the one I want"
This is their song!ππ
This Melissa TikTok, just look at the board at Lucy's room!π«Άπ
They didn't exactly do the "we are the cast of..." trend but they instead did this and we couldn't have asked for a better version than this.π«Ά
SPOILER AlERT!
I have a feeling that the Rookie's social media admin will upload the whole episode in parts by the next 3 days!π
