{Merely a Sack of Blood}
"He's not normal!" "I know Virginia, I know, but there's nothing we can do about it!" "He's a monster Victor, a monster!" "I know, but there isn't anything we can do about it." "I can't live with him Victor, I just can't, he even scares Alice now!" Now that one hurt, Henry tried to stay quiet as he listened to his parents argue about him at the top of the stairs. Passing phrases about how he was an inhuman beast and barely tolerable like he couldn't hear. He hugged his knees to the chest as he glared at his parents in the kitchen. It wasn't like he meant to scare Alice, in all honesty he was scared of himself too, and didn't know what to do. There was something in his mind, something wrong with him that he couldn't fix, no matter how hard he tried. First he ruined his family's life back in Nevada because he couldn't control himself, and now he was ruining their life again, what was wrong with him? | "I can't- I just can't!" Virginia sobbed, Victor holding the vain woman in his arms. "I know, we will think of something," Victor said. Henry didn't know what they were going to think of, he didn't want to know if he was being honest, what doctor he was going to be taken to next. It sounded horrible, absolutely horrible. Henry kept listening, he should've gone upstairs by now but he decided to be stupid again, what a fool he was. Maybe Henry was just useless, because all he seemed to do was hurt, and nothing more. A sob escaped his throat and his mother's head snapped over to glare at him. Victor almost looked regretful as Henry stared back at the two of them. "HENRY CREEL YOU GO TO YOUR ROOM NOW!" Virginia screamed. With that Henry rushed up the stairs practically tripping over himself. Tears falling from his eyes into the darkness.

"You know, I have big plans for you Henry? Even after you ran off like that, what a foolish thing to do." When will people learn that having any plans involving him was a bad idea. Dr. Brenner said it like it was nothing, nothing merely than a thought to grace his head. Henry kept standing beside Brenner, proudly as if he could hide what a mess up Henry knew he was. But for some dumb reason Brenner still believed in him. Maybe that's what caused Henry to crawl back to him that fateful night, after Patty Newby fell. Who cares that it took a few tests, and the occasional shock collar, Papa believed in him. It still felt weird for Henry to call Brenner that, Papa, but it was growing on him oddly enough. Henry was going to make sure, that he wouldn't be useless to Brenner, that Brenner would just maybe, be proud of him. So no matter how many chemicals flowed through Henry's veins at a time, it was all worth it for the scraps of praise he would occasionally get from the cold man. "Now then, we have another test to run, come now." Dr. Brenner said, leaving no room for argument. Henry followed eagerly, ready to try his best, and maybe not be as much of a mistake as he sees himself as. He can't mess this up, he won't mess up again. Henry was determined to prove to his mom, to everyone that he wasn't a failure and Brenner was the start of that.
Sadly he didn't do as well on the test as he was supposed to. "I know you can do better Henry," Brenner said, being the only noise Henry could hear through his pain filled fog. The shock collar kept doing it's duty, hurting more with every moment. Henry reached out to Brenner, only to be ignored as the man left the room. Henry let out a sob as tears rolled down his face, with only one thought on his mind, he was going to make Brenner proud of him even if it lead him to his death.
-------------------
"You failed me Henry." Papa sneered, glaring at Henry as if he was a broken toy. Yea, maybe Henry had gotten tired of Papa's treatment of him, of the shock collars, the tests, everything about the lab, but those words stabbed like a knife. "Your powers are useless to me now." Papa added, forcefully grabbing Henry by the arm causing him to stand. Henry felt like he was going to collapse, tears welling at the back of his eyes. He didn't want to cry in front of Papa, but he feared he was about to. "I don't need you anymore, your blood sure, but not you." No, no this wasn't supposed to happen, thought Henry as he fell to the floor in horror. "Papa, Papa please, I'm sorry.." he whispered as Papa turned to leave. "It's too late for that Henry, much too late." Papa said, slamming the door behind him. And with that Henry sobbed, and sobbed. The weight of everything that had happened crushing down on him with no remorse. His mother was right, she was always right, he was useless. His hands reached his hair as he pulled at it, as if the pain was willing to ground him, but it was all worthless. Henry was nothing now, nothing but a sack of blood. What a worthless thing, just a sack of blood.

Henrietta didn't know how to approach the topic. It should have been simple, but things in her life were rarely such. She doubts Patrick would understand, and that's fine, he's normal. And that's a good thing, he probably doesn't care about the fact that he's a boy, he probably is fine with his name. Henrietta is not like that though, having issues with both factors of herself. She doesn't exactly know when it started, maybe when her parents decided she needed to wear more dresses like a 'good girl,' or when her parents had certain expectations based off of such simple features.
The only reason she even has to talk to Patrick about her feelings was because of the decision she made last night. Henrietta held a pair of scissors in her hand, clumps of hair decorated the bathroom sink. Her hair originally passed her shoulders by a few inches, now it laid just above her ears. She liked it that way, feeling a massive weight that originally laid in her mind fall off like water. A smile cracked through her face, running her hands through her now short hair. It just felt right. She now looked just like her superhero alter-ego The Scarlet Spider, she made him herself. Then there was banging on the bathroom door, it was her mother. Henrietta slowly began to back away from the mirror, her breath getting caught in her throat, her mother would not like to see this. "Henrietta Creel you will open this door!" Virginia shouted and Henrietta's fear only grew. She didn't want to even think of what Virginia's reaction would be.
Well it wasn't good, now Henrietta has to explain to Patrick why her hair is the way. She is still proud of what she did to an extent, her mother hated it though.

Patrick is sitting in the corner of the cafeteria as Henrietta glances at her lunch tray, her appetite gone. She slowly walks forward, trying to ignore all the whispers and questions that she probably isn't meant to hear. Suddenly her pride in her new haircut drips away, leaving nothing but the shame her mother warned her about behind. She sets her lunch tray down next to Patrick, choosing not to look him in the eyes and face his confusion on the mistake she made. A mistake that felt so good. "Hen are you alright?" Patrick asks, his voice sympathetic and how Henrietta hates it. He shouldn't be so sympathetic to something like this, because she doesn't deserve it. Henrietta nods, trying to ignore the tears in her eyes. "I know you're lying," Patrick says holding his hand out to her. She sighs, not wanting to tell the truth. "I- Patrick, do you ever not like being a boy?" she stammers out, thinking of the rejection that will immediately follow. She closes her eyes, as if to mute out his possible reaction. But she isn't met with any of the fears circling in her mind, no, the opposite in fact. "Yea, do you like being a girl?" He asks, Henrietta shakes her head quickly, a small light flickering in her eyes, hope. On her high of confidence she asks another question, "Do you ever wish you could be a girl?" Patrick goes quiet as Henrietta mentally smacks herself for being so dumb, this is the end of it all now, isn't it? When Patrick decides that Henrietta is too weird, too broken to keep being friends with. What did she expect? For him to agree with her? "Yes, in all honesty, yea, I'd have a name like, Patty, Patty Newby!" Patrick says, splaying his hands in the air as if the new name is painted in neon lights. Henrietta smiles all fear she had before dissipating, "I mean, do you want to be called that? And on the topic of new names, I kinda like Henry." "Well, nice to meet you Henry," Patty says, holding out her hand to him. "Nice to meet you too Patty," Henry says, shaking it.
PLEASSSEEEE Because I know some amazing fics would come out of it, and I am one of the only people still writing in there. (I mean the ao3 tag: Stranger Things: The First Shadow)
Henry had caused her to fall, Henry probably just killed her. He glances down his arm still outstretched just as it was a moment ago. Patty laid at the bottom of the rafters, costume still on. She didn't move as the other cast members crowded around her, that's what scared Henry the most. Patty and him, they were supposed to run away together, to find Patty's mom. Patty was so excited when he told her about this, to think they really had planned that. Now he had ruined it. He still didn't fully process what has just happened as he stared at Brenner. Brenner caused this, no..he caused this. Brenner was after him and, he..killed Patty in the process. He truly was a killer, a monster, just as Brenner had said. Tears sprung in Henry's eyes as he slowly began to crawl to Brenner, that was the only person who didn't hate him now, right? He let a sob out as he abandoned the life he once knew, who knew at least he would be useful know. The only person who didn't hate him after they knew the truth. Henry murdered his family, his sister in cold blood. No one should have been able to forgive that, except Brenner. As Henry got closer and closer to Brenner, his arms aching and knees bleeding, a part of him died. A part of him died when Patty fell from those rafters. This was the best he was going to get now, the closest to salvation, and he was going to take it. He gave in that night, and stopped fighting, because his reason to fight was gone.
Henry sits in his cell, fresh electric shock wounds bearing their ugly face on his neck. He curls up in the corner of his cell, that night jumping its way into his head again. Does he regret his decision to go back to Brenner? Yes, but no one else would accept him in such a state, not anymore. Then again barely anyone accepted him when he was a kid, so was it really that different? He probably deserved all of this after everything he did, oh how he did deserve this. A sob claws its way through Henry's throat as he tries to ignore it. He is never going to get out of here, and that's good for everyone else. And Henry won't get anything good now, not even death, because of that night.
We can only hope

🦸♀️ She probably wrote her own comic at some point - where the main hero was her self incert
🦹♀️ This comic she made as an entire universe she created that mainly lives in her head, after befriending Henry, he also gets a character in this superhero universe
🦸♀️ After finding her mom in Vegas, her life becomes better for her after living with her mom, but she still wonders what happened to Joyce, Jim, and Henry
🦹♀️ Would probably visit Hawkins at some point in the future and be alarmed and sad to find out Bob is dead
🦸♀️ She probably starts singing more often, after moving in with her mom, now that she isn't forced into the church choir
🦹♀️ She probably slowly gained a record collection even though there was better tech at the time
