What I find stupid is the amount of calories in sugar. While you can justify the amount of calories in a lot of foods (like oil) in one way or another, you can't really do that with sugar. It doesn't really have something nutritional in it like f.e. olive oil would. It's just making you fat for no reason.
Now remember, sugar is your worst enemy

Currently in exam season so i allow myself to eat more (i fear that getting a degree is more important than starving atm), but I'm still teaching myself to only eat when hungry and avoid snacking too much, esp on sugars. Since my fasts, my hunger has gone down and i feel less the need to eat as often. At least snacking, anyways. Like, yeah, i crave food but i have less the feeling like i'm hungry and NEED it, just simpky the idea of it that i can usually just get over.
I avoided binging this evening, I'm so happy w myself.
Turns out that having a bigger lunch (trust, it was big.) that makes you full really helps.
I've been on and off fasting for 12 to 24 hours the past week and a half or so and low key, it's a vibe. I'm then more tolerant of what I eat, esp when I have one meal a day. My exams are starting on monday, so I might eat a bit more through the day (like, more than 1 meal).
As much as I love ana, I value my education more than anything.
Stop trying to cheat your way out of a fast. The weight won't come off by itself
Maybe I'm just balls deep into my £d but I don't get the hype of having 3 meals a day. I understand ppl who have it because they legit need it to function (esp while you're alr struggling w an £d and splitting your calories throughout the day works best for you), and ppl w/ a b.e.d. Finding comfort in food is a thing and I get it.
But otherwise... why are ppl so obsessed w/ eating? You don't constantly need to shove food in your mouth. You can just go on w/ your day, do whatever you have to do and eventually eat when you're actually, properly hungry.
My favourite part abt fasting is sleeping. Not in a weird way but I love having dinner, doing whatever for a few hours, going to bed and then seeing I'm at like 12 to 14 hours while still feeling good and not hungry.
For those of you who use tiktok, do y'all know those videos of 'what I eat in a day'? Yeah, abt that. While I'm not a hater towards anyone in particular, I have a general thing where I'm wondering why ppl eat so much. Not necessarily their main meals (who can honestly look amazing and nutritious), but why do they need to eat every 2-3 hours? Why do ppl need to have breakfast at f.e. 8, have a snack at 9, another one at 11, then lunch at 12, another snack at like 3, dinner, and another snack before bed?
You don't rlly need all that in a day.
REAL, I randomly stop studying just to scroll on tumblr and look through the tags. I also had a phase at some pointwhere I'd be like "it's ok to neglect my studies for a bit. I can't be stupid AND ugly."
does anyone else’s ED severely impact their academics? and not just in an “@na brain” way?
i mean instead of studying or doing online assignments i’m obsessively consuming media related to weight loss/food/dieting.
i feel guilty when i sit down to study or do schoolwork because “i could be burning calories exercising right now.”
The feeling after fasting for 16 to 24 hours >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Maybe I would've been skinny by now if I wasn"t autistic as shit and acc gaf abt what my mom was saying abt me
Liquids will be a life saver. Water, coffee, energy drinks, sugar free sodas will help you feel like you're consuming something and give you maybe a few calories that your body can work with and still function.
Sleep. What usually helps me with my fasts is to start my fast after dinner. I usually eat between 6 and 8 PM, so I then feel full and have less the need to snack on things. I go to bed at around midnight and wake up the next day at like 9, so I'm already a solid 12 to 13 hours in. I'm not rlly a breakfast person and only start to get hungry at around noon, and by then I get to 14 to 17 hours.
Keep yourself busy. I noticed it was easier for me to get to my 24h fast in a day where I had 2 classes of 3 hours. By the time I got back to my dorm and my bf and I decided to get dinner, it was close to the time we had dinner the day before.
Remember why you're doing it.
i didn't really like fasting and found it a bother in the beginning, but the more I practiced, found what worked for me n what made it easier, the more progress that I made and the more addicting it got.
If done right, I can get to a fast of 16 to 18 hours with no issue, even 24 with a little push. Once doing 24h fasts become as easy as the 16 to 18 hours one, I'll try to push for maybe 30 hours or so.
On my previous account, I once mentioned how my bf kept bringing up calories. He knew I was dealing with ana, so whenever we were gonna order dinner or whatever, he'd be like "oh, maybe not that food, I know you don't like too many calories." And stuff.
While I understand that he's autistic and might miss the cue of not bringing it up (and the fact that he said he wants to eat healthier), it still bothered me.
Ppl were rather upset in the comment section, saying I should "pick a side" seeing how "I have an £d but don't like it when my bf is enabling me." And how that person would love it to have a bf like that. My thing, however, is the following. I don't mind talking abt it, esp if you want to understand me/£ds better. However, I'd rather not hear from ppl (esp close to me) being up calories and all that when we go eat. I already think abt it constantly and it gets worse when I have to have a bigger meal w ppl, so I'd rather not hear it extra externally. It's genuinely exhausting as is.
"oh the thing that's on your mind non stop on your mind and affects so many parts of your life and the way you function? Reminder that it exists. :)"
I literally stopped going to therapy in like, november, because I opened up to my therapist abt my relationship with food (it was starting to get bad), and she just pulled a "but food is good for you 🥺". Literally 5 to 10 mins later, it was the end of our session and she went "ok, do you want to book another appt, or would you rather contact me when you have something going on?"
I got so pissed by it that I haven't talked to her since. It wasn't even that but like another time when i mentioned i suspect being autistic, she just went "no, you can't be autistic. I think you're just a sensible girl who got traumatised."
Mf.
So I just didn't contact her since and decided I'll just help myself.
what's y'alls cal limit/restriction?
Mine is 1K, although 1.1K is typically also ok, since I burn some calories through the day bcs of my walking

Hi! I'm feather-wannabe :) I'm a 20 y/o uni student who struggles with an £d. My previous blog got deleted, so here am I. It lowk sucked cuz I got to around 1.2K followers and some mutuals (whose users I forgot ): ) but I'm sure that I'll make some new friends on here.
I post things here that I'm thinking of and it is not meant to have a negative influence on younger people. As you've seen others mention, please block instead of report. If you want to be mutuals/friends, I'm definitely down for that!
I love memes, writing, artist like Crystal Castles, Pastel Ghost and Billie Eilish and gaming! Welcome to my blog :)
Does anyone have food recommendations that aren't cucumbers or involve salt and pepper? This is small portions and I'm fasting so I need food recommendations just in case someone tells me I need to eat. I don't like cucumbers or pepper. I also don't like coffee or tea so I need more recommendations then those.
i just started using these i take 1 in the morning then 1 in the afternoon and omfgg they literally suppress your appetite completely i’ve been fasting for almost 48hrs and i don’t feel hungry at all and haven’t got a single craving they are kinda expensive tho but so worth it!!
