After seeing the underground still in ruin after the fire 10 years ago, a injury that made him unable to stay as a royal guard and Spruce/Papyrus now not needing Forest/Sans to take care of him, Forest got into a depression. The think getting him out of it being his brother giving him a new purpose; to restore the underground to is former, blooming, glory.

I love them oh. this makes me so happy utmv the fluff rb rb oh its so SWEET Spruce's big smile the storyboarding with the angles and how it moves is just so BEAUTIFUL then Forest's smile at the end once being handed the plant im smiling with them!!! i could not tell you how many times ive looped this my heart is SINGING ack please check this out!! the art style is gorgeous and so soft also I love the design for Forest and Spruce and freckles!!! i love the dichotomy between these two here so much
