You know what? Here's my take on 'Gray's not good enough for her.

THEYRE IN LOVE. AND DONT CARE.

*ahem* excuse me.

Gray, as Duane Capizzi said, 'is not good enough for her'. But here's how I think this might mean for red crackle.

You can't deny the attraction, okay? Nobody looks at their 'big brother' like that

But here's the thing, he changed

Also, no one winks at their 'little sister' like that. And their chemistry was something else (granted that Carmen had amazing chemistry with a lot of characters).

Anyways other than that, I think some people might agree, Gray was with V.I.L.E and kind of evil, like he tried to kill that someone for V.I.L.E, try to take Carmen back to V.I.L.E by force (train to Paris), willingly become a thief and going to a school of thieves, AND then willingly coming back even if he could have chosen to go with Carmen in Bellum's lab.

The way I see it, Gray was evil. And that's exactly what I think Capizzi meant in the interview, Carmen was good, she was this type of hero who stopped the bad guys and Gray was a bad guy. A good person like Carmen needed a good person, not someone who would make her sad or break her heart like when Gray did on the train to Paris or in the Himalayas. He would hurt her again and again if they got together after him recovering her memories, I mean stealing was in his nature, his memories weren't fully back but he was still stealing, and Carmen hated stealing. And the fact that he willingly didn't want to complicate her life by him means even he knows that, it's a habit he can't get over, and doesn't want to make Carmen suffer because of it.

However, the mutual attraction they share and their past is something that I believe is what will make it difficult for both of them to stay away from each other. Gray was changing in the last episode of Season 4, he realised that this wasn't the Carmen he knew, this wasn't even like Black Sheep, this was cruel and uncaring, the exact opposite of Carmen and Black Sheep. There was nothing he wasn't willing to do to bring her back, he sacrificed his career (something very important to him), abandoned Tigress (an old friend) and even sacrificed his life. He went to A.C.M.E Knowing he could be put in prison or killed for Carmen. Just proving how much he'd be willing to sacrifice for her.

From the man who was ready to kill the archeologist in episode 1 to stopping Carmen from killing Shadowsan (even though he probably knew Shadowsan killed Carmen's dad) in the last episode. I believe he changed for the better.

When we go back to the hospital scene with Cheif. To me, it sounds like he wants to change, stop stealing for Carmen's sake. If he'll start stealing again, he'll just be another operative on A.C.M.E's wanted list, opposing sides from Carmen, hurting her, again. And until he stops his criminal impulses, he'll keep hurting her again and again, complicating Carmen's life.

And this is what I think is why Gray didn't agree to Chief sending his contact information to Carmen, he wasn't good enough for her. Which is exactly what Duane Capizzi said, he wasn't good enough for her. BUT, I believe that nonetheless, Carmen and Gray will run into each other again and maybe when Gray thinks he's redeemed himself enough for Carmen, he'll confess. And seriously, good enough or not, I think Carmen loves him and wouldn't care anyways.
