Sometimes, I feel like this painting isn't talked about enough. A painting by Francesco Hayez, depicting two young people in a moment of tenderness and comfort. A goodbye kiss, full of sweetness and pure love. The way their lips touch each other gives a sense of infinite kindness and delicacy and the way he holds her face shows a care that words can't describe. This painting contains all the sweetness, intimacy and love that two people can feel and, if I'm not being too obvious or sappy, I really wish my first kiss was like this.
