WE ARE SLEEPING ON HARTLEY x SNART

Hartley is canonically Gay and Snart is canonically Bi.

In this house, we live laugh love Hartley, but if y’all know his character from like the 90s to now, him dating a cop really just doesn’t make sense?? Like we KNOW he supports ACAB and defund the police campaigns. This mans is a socialist justice protester and he’s not afraid to get his hands dirty to fight for civil rights. HE ATTEMPTED ASSASSINATING A POLITICAL CAMPAIGNER BECAUSE OF HIS FUCKED POLICIES I MEAN COME ON!!

He’s as morally grey as they come, and he doesn’t really play into the good/bad stereotypes. He picks whatever side will help his goals meet, whatever the cost. Even at risk of his own sanity in some cases. His best friends are Wally West, Linda West, and James Jesse. Even though his bestie is a Flash, he STILL joined the rogues and to this day he uses his powers and technology to help whatever cause he deems worthy of helping.

He sends his rats out to find missing persons. He steals money from corporations stealing the livelihood of lower class working people. He advocates for homeless, LGBTQ+, POC, pro choice, renewable energy, etc etc. He is a good person that sometimes does bad things for good reasons.

So yeah, him and David? Not a great match.

ON THE OTHER HAND!!

Leonard freaking Snart. Where to begin with this. Leader of the rogues and devout older brother. His little sister comes first, always, Just like Hartley’s little sister does for him.

Even though he starts a whole gang just to send a huge middle finger to the justice system that failed him time and time again, he sets up these rules that all of the rogues must follow or there will be severe punishment.

No killing supers or flashes. No killing women or children (generally all civilians are off limits). Don’t betray your fellow rogue.

He hand picked not only a highly skilled team of super criminals, but he also created a family.

Snart’s best friend, Mick Rory, for all the arsonist tendencies and gruff exterior he exudes, still has a soft touch. Later on in the comics, he’s even seen turning a new leaf and going on the good side, helping Hartley and James keep their friends from making a huge ass mistake. If that doesn’t tell you their judge of character, I don’t know what will.

Not only that, but Snart spends holidays DELIVERING PRESENTS TO ORPHANAGES DRESSED AS SANTA! Tell me he’s “cold hearted” after that. You can’t.

He truly does care for his community, and by having the most well respected and feared gang, he simultaneously keeps the streets clean of normal gang activity you might see because they claimed most of the terf on Central City and no one wants to mess with the crazy super powered team.

Sometimes it feels like they rob someplace just for the kick of it, or to keep up appearances. They don’t really need any more money, they’ve stolen A LOT of it and we don’t necessarily see em use it much besides when Hartley is donating it anonymously to charity.

Despite Hartley’s “betrayal” to the rogues, Snart and him still seem relatively friendly with each other. Here is a panel where Hartley is helping Wally clean up some of the chaos in the city the Rogues and instigating, and Snart even calls him “old friend” despite him working with the supposed enemy.

And, despite Hartley leaving his rogue legacy behind and he and James leave for good, there are moments where Hartley shows a bit of regret for leaving them like that and implies that he even misses them.

Snart sought out Piper because he was the first person to break out of Iron Heights, unaided. The original escapee. Both of them are wicked smart and clever, use dry humour and sarcasm, create their own weapons and keep their secrets close to their chest with hearts of bleeding gold. They do what’s right by their own accounts, even if they have to do something wrong to make ends meet.

DC?? With actual recognition to mental health issues???

It’s a sprocking miracle

Oh. Oh Bart actually having PTSD from having died and getting flashbacks about his death. Oh. I like that. Still hate that they OoCed the Rogues into killing a child, but at least they don’t just have Bart shrug off his death.

Why is it that every speedster has some sort of relationship with the rogues except for the one that it actually would make sense if he had one. Are you seriously telling me Bart Henry Allen-Thawne II has NO correlation to them at ALL, but Wally and Barry do???

I get Barry ‘believes’ in them or whatever, but that doesn’t mean they’re automatic buddies. He has major trust issues and doesn’t even like turning his back around them!

And Wally? Wally has this weird thing against villains, no matter how small the crime. I mean, he broke up a friendship that he had for YEARS with Hartley Rathaway because Pied Piper went off book for a mission that was for A GOOD CAUSE.

Bart Allen’s half brother Owen is in the rogues. His twin clone is in the rogues. Digger knew his mother, and I’m sure he’d want to know more about her. He’s an outcasted flashfam member that needs a home because every family he’s been put into disappeared or died. First Max and then Jay, then the Titans disbanded. He doesn’t belong to any timeline, never met his father, abandoned by his mother so he wouldn’t be kidnapped by science cops, sent by his own evil Grandpa! That sounds like just about any other rogue sob story. And yet he has no connection to them. AT ALL. Which is just… Mind boggling!

And the one issue he gets with them, the rogues KILL him?? Which is totally out of character for them because one of their main rules is NO KILLING FLASHES. With time and character development, I’m sure Thad will come around and Bart will give him a chance, no matter how skeptical he is, because it’s what Max wanted for them and that was Bart’s goddamn dad, so help me! And Bart really doesn’t mind the whole villain thing either; he’s held casual conversation with the JOKER. Are you kidding me??

Do y’all understand how upsetting this is, or am I the only one???

Thinking about Owen "My mother already has a son and it's not me" Mercer

Rogue's headcanon #3

• Evan and Alvin's friendship can be depicted as the Red Flags animation meme.

• Owen's favorite flavor is strawberry, milkshake, ice cream, cookie, anything.

• Axel can get so hyped with a new trick idea, that he's gonna wake up at 3 am and not sleeping until finish the project, even if it takes days, once it's done he faints.

The day that DC lets Owen and Bart know that they're brothers the sun will explode.

Rogues headcanon #2

• One of Len's weakest points is communication in any way of the thing, so when he is talking to Evan or Digger he has to use at least 110% of his brain to understand what they're saying.

• Despite everything Mick is one of most functional members of the rogues, he knows a lot about domestic stuff, he drives, he cooks, when someone compliments his food he giggles all day about that.

• If they paid bills, Mark is responsible for most of the water bill, he spends a lot of time in a single shower, he does a very careful treatment for his hair and beard, also this imaginary discussions and sings, his favorite music is Escape by Rupert Holmes.

What if ...... After Owen gets attacked by zombie Digger in the Darkest Night, his speedster instincts kicks in and he "accidentally" runs right through the Speed Force, where it end ups healing him, and increasing his speed ( something like what happened to Wally). But at the time he puts himself together, and finds a way out of there, when he gets out he's in the rebirth universe ( maybe like Jojo where the universe restarted and it's different now ).

Of course after getting out of the Speed Force he collapses from exhaustion. But all of that caused an alteration in the Speed Force that some speedsters could feel, and who came to rescue him? ( * Sounds of suspense drums*) His grandfather, Eobard Thawne.

Rogues headcanon #1

Owen is a speedster, but instead of eating ten times more than a person, he sleeps a lot, and when he wakes up from a two days nap he's going to eat the first thing he sees that looks even a little bit similar to any kind of food. It happened more than once to him to eat non edible food, like this kind of decoration of fake fruits that's on the kitchen table.

I believe that Owen doesn't like to be a speedster, and he denies any proof that he's one, so he just consumes the amount of food a human would do in a day even if he's really hungry, so he just sleeps to forget that.

Man I swear If god give me the hability to draw and to animate properly, and money to hire voice actors, I would make trailers for the rogues, like the mercs from Team Fortress 2.

Hi, I would like to know If any of you guys are intrested in a AU where Owen lives. There will be a lot of angst, and I will probably need to change some concepts that already exist in flash comics; and maybe it's gonna take a while because I need to think de Idea, then I need to put It in words, then I need to put this words in a paper, then correcting them, then translanting to inglesh, then writing in Tumblr.

Headcanon for Owen and Evan in the rogues

Owen has really bad abandonament trauma, so every night he wake up and go check If the other rogues are still there and If they are okay

And Evan always wake up when Owen open the door ( because of His abuse trauma) except when His really drunk or high

When Evan don't wake up Owen check His pulse and breath

Random thought, Owen and Mark will sing sk8er boi by Avril Lavigne to Axel, every time he come back from a date with Jerrie. Just to bother him, they know that both of them are just friends but its too funny. If Evan knows the lyrics he sings too, Mick and Len just observe the entrenment. Axel will yell " shes just my friend" with the voice he knows is from his puberty.

I think that if Owen was still alive in the comics, and some how the heros descoverd about his mom ( like aren't the bats the best detectives in the world? Come on Tim, you don't hate boomerang enough to search for all his family historic? If there's a limited number of speedsters and Owen have super speed, it doesn't make sense to not do a DNA test. I refused to think that Tim didn't have thinked in this posibility, more like he just find it out and never told anyone.)

But if Bart end up knowing he had a brother, I think he would want to get closer to Owen and try to help him with the super speed and speed force side effects. Bart and Tim probablly gonna at some point end up fighting, Tim don't want Bart hurt himself trying to help ( and of course Owen in Tim's vision is a dengerous person), and Bart don't like that Tim is geting over protective with him.( came in my mind this scene of Arcane of Jayce and Victor.)

Tim: Did tou go after him?!

Bart: Whats the problem?

Tim: Whats the probl-?!

Tim: Hes a Thawne's grandchild, hes dengerous!

Bart: I'm a Thawne's grandchlid.

Cassie and Kon don't what to do. They understand that Bart want to meet his brother and suport it, but they also know Owen's "fame" ( the Darkest Night 💀).

I remeber some where I read a question about Owen Mercer, something like "if his both parents have dark hair, were did he get the light ginger hair?"(me for example, my both parents have brown eyes, but i get blue eyes from my grandma). So i have "sources" to belive that Owen inherited many characteristics from his grandfather, and there are sometimes that he really remind me of Eobard.
