Da meine Kinderchen allzu genervt und bösartig-ignorant meinen spontanen und völlig unschuldigen Versuchen, aus Rabelais´ Gargantua und Pantagruel von 1532 vorzulesen, entflohen und selbst meine Gattin die Augen verdrehte und nicht bereit war, auch nur eine Seite anzuhören, sehe ich mich gezwungen, an dieser Stelle all denen, die nicht wissen, was sie spielen sollen, einen kurzen Ausschnitt zu zitieren, der die Spielfreude des Königssohnes aus dem erwähnten Buche repräsentiert (ich gebe zu, dass es Passagen in diesem Buch, aufgrund dessen der Arzt und Autor Francois Rabelais von katholischen Königshäusern durch halb Europa verfolgt und mit dem Tode bedroht wurde, gibt, die weitaus interessanter scheinen mögen, solcherlei Inhaltes, dero sich der riesenhafte Königssohn zwecks Löschens einer Feuersbrunst gullivergleich in den Glockenturm transurethral entleerte, dass dabei auch und vor allem, wenn ich mich recht erinnere, Frauen und Kinder zu Hauf ersoffen und destowegen ich auch meine Sippschaft diplomatisch vor dem Besuch von Kirchen in Monarchien hätt´ warnen wollen, aber eben, aufgrund ihres bildungsverneinenden Verhaltens, nicht können.
