This is going to be a wild take: under certain circumstances, I actually wouldn't mind if Dazai stayed dead.

Obviously, I want him alive, and am still in denial about how permanent his death truly is. But what's worse than an outright statement going "Dazai is dead and will never be brought back to BSD", is the uncertainty (partially because of the fandom). If he's dead, I want to have a skk scene that obliterates my heart.

I want what's left of the PM or the ADA to find vampire Chuuya, cradling Dazai's rotting corpse in his arms as he tries again and again, unsuccessfully, to save him by turning him into a vampire. Where each time he tries, Dazai's ability lashes out and removes the foreign ability, and he dies all over again. I want a Chuuya who has already been turned back to a human during one of his attempts, but still continues anyways because he can't cope, until the people who found him have to physically pry him away from Dazai.

I have a craving, and that craving is hurt/no comfort.

Ok, so, as you can see the first bullet goes right through his shoulder, but the second one does not exit his head.

Also: the part of the brain reciveing the damage (the forebrain I suppose?? cerebrum, thalamus, hypothalamus??) is responsible for functions like thinking and speech, so there would be no chit-chat after that.

And lets just look at where else Chuuya shoots on this pathetic dude:

2 shoulder shots and 1 on his side. I don’t really have any info on how leathal these are, but I belive, in in the public mind they’re not considered fatal…

Also, the question arises: why did’t Chuuya aim for the chest? I mean everybody aims either for the head or the chest when trying to kill someone, and he was also close range so it shouldn’t have been difficult to do so.

What could have happened here? As I see it: a play.

Chuuya could’ve stopped the bullet, only causing damage on the surface of Dazai’s forehead, then shot a few more into some less leathal points to reassure his supposed “death”.

I mean isn’t this whole skk-killing-each-other-drama playing out to be this?? Dazai tries to drown Chuuya, so Fyodor thinks “their bond is shallow”. And now whatever this execution thing was. But with this, Fyodor actually belives that he is dead, he will let his guard down, only for Dazai to show up again and counter attack. This is just speculation tho of course…

Anyway, if I’m happen to be right, we are still left with the question of how did Dazai reach Chuuya, or nullify the vampirism. Perhaps his words did get to him, perhaps his ability can affect through objects via the gun, I do not know...

There are two possibble conclusions I can give:

a.) Asagiri purposefully misleads us with the clues I explained earlier lol.

b.) I’m right and Dazai will live, and this is all according to his plan.

Either way, we will see…
