Oh how I hate birthdays
Celebrating the day all my problems started?
No thanks
But there's one thing I hate most
"What do you want?"
They ask.
There are hundreds, if not thousands of answers to one simple question.
Books, games, makeup, dolls
And yet, the things I want most in life can't be bought anywhere.
I want to be loved unconditionally
I want to be good enough for someone
I want to have nothing to prove
I want to be able to express my feelings without getting judged
I wanna trust people with my everything
I just wanna be myself
But
Those are never the words that come out of my mouth.
This has been so surreal to be an FFVII fan and have my 20th birthday during the most hyped ffvii event in recent years. Advent Children in theaters a couple days before and then Rebirth a few days after… AAAA I don’t need a bday party or anything im gonna be celebrating ffvii more lmao
It’s like having a themed bday little kids do except im gonna be 20 and the dates just happened to line up coincidentally
It’s about present distribution. If you get presents in June, July, August or September and then chirstmas you get presents, like, every six months. (Not including the candy of Easter and stuff) especially if you’re born in June. Every six months you have a celebration. When you’re born in December, you don’t have a nearly as even distribution of presents. You genuinely get them once a year. And some people cop out by making your Christmas present a birthday present too. Like that’s not how this works. Or they forget about you and you just don’t get them until like March. Also? Not as many options for parties and people don’t show up. Genuinely had a few birthdays where like 1 or 2 people showed because I was also born on the 31st of December. I get this lil guy.
