I love Lumine with all my heart but I want to change to Aether because it just fits with what I am seeing. ;-; miHoYo, please hear my cries.
I've seen lots of people quitting the game at high AR levels due to boredom, but I've been playing this game since it was released and I'm still not bored? I think the problem is people start to treat it like a chore.
Try changing up your team! I've switched my traveler from anemo to geo and they're actually pretty fun to play as because it's new to me. Use comically under-leveled characters to explore the world (maybe with a healer on standby). Use a team of only one element. Whatever makes things new and exciting again!
How about the music? I frequently stop and admire just how beautiful everything sounds. The wind, the rain, the theme of each location! Today I ran back to the beach where the game began and let nostalgia sink in; that feeling of excitement and awe at how beautiful the game is. Chasing every lizard and crab in sight. Climbing trees for no reason.
If you do have resin to spend for artifact domains etc, try it with different team members for more of a challenge! Switch up some artifacts, see what happens!
It's a game, it's supposed to be fun. Ignore every guide, all the tier lists; there's no wrong way to play if you're having fun.
Question: I am on the NA server and my friend is in the EU server, can I still add them?
I really hate when people trash talk about certain characters like Diluc, calling him bad and weaker than some other character. I can't stand people comparing him with other characters who have a completely different kit and purpose. They trash him and for what?? He is an amazing character and DPS with a good lore and heart. If he was a limited time character, I bet you that people would be wanting him like they did back when the game was still fairly new. I wished he was a limited time character. I would have happily thrown my money on his banner.
Wow!! Congrats!! ^♡^ I'm so happy for you! <3
JUST WOKE UP OMG BUT HEYY THANK U GUYS ???? WWOW 500+ FOLLOWERS ??? IM GONNA GIVE EVERYONE A LEETEL KISS SRS !!!!! LOVE YALL SM <333

A familiar sound of laughter could be heard coming from somewhere at the lower part of Wangshu Inn that had gotten the attention of the last surviving yaksha. A laugh that he found annoying, yet would miss if it weren't around. Your laugh.
He wasn't going to admit it, but he would always wait for you to come to meet him daily. He would rush in clearing the area for monsters, not wanting you or any other mortal getting hurt-- but you especially.
However, he notices that your laughter that grew closer from the stairs leading up to the highest part of the inn- where he was- was seemingly.. Too joyous, let's say. What were you laughing at? Were you talking to Verr Goldet on your way to him? No, she's always behind the reception desk during working hours; no way is she with you. And as rude as it may be, her humour was quite dry to have you cracking up that much.
The curious yaksha's golden eyes look towards the door, waiting for you to step on the last remaining stairs that'll finally allow him to see you and whatever- or whomever- was making you laugh. He knew that you weren't alone as he heard a second set of shoes. They were heavy. A man? Well, that was soon answered when he saw your figure peeking in his line of sight, along with the person you came with. Although he doesn't show it, what he saw was not a pleasant sight.
Who was the guy next to you?
His eyes narrow. Something in him made him feel.. Strange. He doesn't know what word (or words) to use to describe such mortal feeling but he knows that he hated it-- hated the sight with you laughing the way you did to another. You never laughed like that when you were with him.
You looked away from the person with who you had such a wonderful conversation with and to Xiao who was leaning against the railing. You didn't notice that something was off with him; he looked annoyed just like every other day you met with him so you greeted him with a smile. "Xiao! Hey, sorry to keep you waiting," you said. Xiao did not reply to your greeting and focused his attention on the taller male beside you. Then, "Who is he?" His head nods to the stranger, arms crossing. The guy seemed shady but nowhere in his perfect appearance could the yaksha pinpoint what was off with him.
"Oh, right. I should introduce you guys to each other. Xiao, this is Childe. Childe, this is Xiao-- the one I was talking to you about some moments ago," you said. "Hey, it's good to meet another of (Y/N)'s friends." Childe smiles, a hand rest on his hip. "Likewise," Xiao replies, although he didn't really mean it. All he wanted to know was what this Childe guy's relationship with you as you had never mentioned him in your guys' one-sided conversation before.
"Anyway, (Y/N), when are you finally going to accept my invitation?" Childe looks towards you with eager eyes. "What invitation?" You raised a brow at the ginger. "Eh? Did you forget? How could you, (Y/N)?" Childe dramatically clutches his shirt over his chest. "I thought you loved me!" Xiao's ears perked. "Just hurry up and tell me," you said.
He chuckles. "For our date, of course!" Childe leans closer to your face, giving you a close-eyed grin. Xiao, who had no choice but to listen, unknowingly tightened his grip on his arms. Date? So, you guys are..
Xiao clicks his tongue. "I need to go," he said briefly before disappearing into thin air with trickles of black and green smoke. You couldn't even ask where he was going. "Uh, weren't you gonna give him that?" Childe points at the tiffin in your hand. "Ah, you're right! Darn it.." You finally perfected how to make almond tofu and wanted Xiao to be the first to try your cooking so it was truly a shame that you weren't able to give it to him. "Well, since he left, can I have it?" Childe asks. "No! This is for Xiao only!" You glare at him. "And can you please stop calling our sparring sessions a date?" Childe only laughs at that.
"Well, I guess I'll leave this with Verr.." you said to yourself, eyeing at the tiffin. It was a shame that you won't get to see his reaction but you can always ask tomorrow. You wondered what it was that he needed to tend to but shortly concluded that he probably needed to take care of monsters around the area.
-
Tomorrow came but he didn't show up which was odd since even though he may look like he doesn't want you around, he never really pushed you away. In fact, there wasn't a silent agreement for when you two would meet up at the highest part of Wangshu Inn. You asked Verr if Xiao ever had the chance to eat your almond tofu but she said that he rejected it and that he would be turning in for the night.
A day turned to days until it was nearly a week. Again, you went to Wangshu Inn and again, Childe wasn't with you that day so it was a bit quiet. You didn't have anything else planned for today, wanting to spend today with Xiao since you didn't yesterday and the days before that.
It became the waiting game long ago and before you knew it, you could see the sun setting on the horizon yet again. Where was he? Yeah, he may be the conqueror of demons but you couldn't help but worry. After all, it was still possible for him to get hurt.
You waited a bit more until the sun was fully out of sight. Another day has ended and he still hasn't shown. Sighing defeatedly, you stood up from the chair that Verr had brought for you. However, before you could take a step away from the chair, Xiao appears before you at the centre of the balcony.
"Xiao!?" One look at him, you gasped at the state he was in. He still had his mask on and was covered in blood and scratch marks, using his spear as support. He was unaware of your presence, unable to focus as he was lightheaded.
You rushed to his side and that's when his head looks up from the ground to you. "(Y/N)? What are you doing here?" he managed to ask, sounding so weak and tired. "I was waiting for you.. But never mind that-- what happened to you?" You reached your hands for him and just when you made contact with his shoulders, he collapsed in your arms. "Xiao!"
Your voice was loud enough to alert Verr, Huai'an, and Yanxiao who rushed upstairs, all worried for the yaksha that protected Liyue quietly. "Xiao? What happened?" Verr asked, equally worried as you were. "Let's get him to his room first and patch him up. Save the questions after he's healed," Huai'an said. Agreeing, you brought Xiao to his room that was unoccupied for most of the time while Verr fetched the aid kit.
After giving you the kit, you were left with the task of bandaging the male, knowing that he would most likely refuse help from them. You sat on a wooden chair while he sat on his bed, things needed to patch him up were spread on the nightstand. It was quiet for the first couple of minutes since you were too busy cleaning his bloodied arm. It was only when you wrapped his upper arm nice and tight did you talk. "Uh, can you take off your shirt..?" you say softly that one would need to strain to hear, but not Xiao as he always had keen ears.
"Why are you here?" he asks coldly which caught you off guard. Sure he spoke with a seemingly cold tone but this time, it really sounded as if he didn't want you here. His eyes never once looked at yours when you were wrapping his arm.
"X, Xiao..? What's wrong?" You felt your heart squeeze itself. He remained tight-lipped. That day, when you brought Childe along, he felt a mix of emotions of jealousy, anger, and sadness. "Nothing is wrong. Just go.." he said. "Don't you have somewhere to be?"
"Somewhere to be? No, I was waiting all day for you to come back," you said. "I was beginning to worry ab--" "I don't need your concerns. I have lived longer than you and fought many monsters. I can handle everything by myself," he cut you off, sharply. "Why don't you put those silly feelings of yours on someone else?"
"What wrong with you, Xiao?" you asked, not once raising your voice. "I told you, nothing is wrong with me--" He finally looked at you, but what he saw next made him stop and all those feelings he had previously dissipated. You weren't crying but tears were certainly threatening to fall as you bit your bottom lip. "I.. (Y/N).."
You shook your head, wiping the tears with your arms before you stare at him right in the eyes. "I was worried, Xiao. I was worried if you were hurt or worse!" you raised your voice, but not in anger. "What did I do to make you mad? Please, tell me!" Your eyes reflected desperation and sadness.
He looks away. He felt bad, knowing that it was wrong of him to lash out at you for something as stupid as feelings.. Feelings that you won't reciprocate.
"It's nothing.." he said, this time, in a calmer tone. "Why won't you tell me?" you asked, reaching your hands to cup his face so that he had no choice but to look at you.
He hesitated. He wasn't sure if it was right to tell you since you were with someone else, and he didn't want to ruin what friendship you two had. But the sadness in your eyes made it hard for him to keep it a secret. "I.. Was jealous.." He confesses, looking down at his lap, face feeling hot in embarrassment.
"Jealous? Of who?" you pushed on. He gulped before saying, "Your.. Boyfriend."
You blinked, confused. Then, "Boyfriend? But I don't have one.." you voiced. Xiao looks up at you, face showing surprise. "What? But that guy with you.. He said.." It took a while but you now soon know who he was referring to.
"Ah, we aren't in a relationship, I promise! When he said date, he was asking for a sparring match really," you explained. "A, and actually, I like you, Xiao.. I have always liked you."
Hearing the confession, Xiao did not wait for a second longer and put a hand behind your head, pushing you closer to him until your lips met with his. It surprised you at first but soon melted into the kiss, eyes fluttering shut. What felt like hours was actually just a few minutes and you two pulled away.
Looking at him, loving his golden eyes that were filled with love for you, you smiled. "Well, let's finish fixing you up."

Can somebody help me?? So, Childe.. When I shoot his arrow at enemies, a small wind current is formed that, like, drags enemies to that circle.. Was he always able to do that??
I got Rosaria on the first 10 rolls, Keqing on my 50/50 on the 50th roll, and Childe on the 30th roll when the pity had reset. :)
Bennett did not come home.
Thank you, Elli! ^♡^

I only gotten a full 2 hours of sleep before I was woken up with my dad and brother knocking on the door, saying they couldn't find my cat. Hearing that, I was wide awake and just threw on my jacket, grabbed his toys and snacks and looked for him. When I was about to cry, he literally came dashing back inside the house. Turns out that he snuck past my mom when she was going to the garage last night so he spent his night cold. :(
T□T I'm so happy that he's okay.
I was playing Genshin a few minutes ago (I'm in bed now since it's nearly 5 AM-- I need to sleep) because I am procrastinating on homework. I took this picture because I was crying and happy that I found a chest-- and the last chest needed for 100% Starfell Valley.
Now that I'm looking at this, I suddenly have been struck with inspiration with the two combos.. Xiao and this song might actually be a good angst.

Today was no day to laze around in bed as it was the most important of days in a year- Kaeya's birthday.
You quietly slipped out of bed to get change, and out from his warm embrace, soon missing it when your feet touched the cold ground and parts of your skin- which was exposed- hits the cold air. It was quite early, but you had to get on the move if you want everything done by the designated time that Jean had said.
You along with the top-notches of the Knights of Favonius and Diluc- much to his visible distaste- had secretly been planning for a week specifically for this day. Jean carefully planned it out so that today was his day off today, without raising his suspicion.
From behind, you hear a low moan from the male as he was searching for your warmth, eyes closed. You chuckled at his actions and walked back to the bed, leaning down to give him a kiss on the cheeks. "Get some more rest. It's your day off after all," you said.
You weren't quick enough to move away and his arms quickly wraps around you and pull you back in bed. "Stay.." he moans, voice still groggy as he just woke up. "You know I can't do that. I still have work," you said, but he didn't listen and buries his head into your chest. You sighed and comply to his words, playing with his loose hair. It was really soft.
After a couple minutes, you started to feel his arms loosening around you so you took it as a chance to really slip out of the house and head over to Angel's Share.
When you arrived, everybody was already there and was just waiting for you. "Took you time," Diluc mutters, his expression still the same as ever before and crosses his arms. "Sorry, it was hard to make Kaeya fall back asleep," you say in honest. "Now then, shall we begin?" You smiled, the others returning it with a smile of their own-- Not counting Diluc.
The tavern was closed all throughout the day as the celebration was going to be held there. There were times where you had to go out of the tavern and met Kaeya once, now up and going, and was out to seek for your company. "I'm sorry, Kaeya, I'm running errands for Jean," you said apologetically. You then got Klee to take your place so that the Cavalry Captain wouldn't get lonely and start snooping around the tavern.
The preparations were finally finished at seven in the evening and all that was left was the star of tonight. "(Y/N), can you go get Kaeya now?" Jean asks. You nodded and left the tavern in search for him. It didn't take long as you found him where you thought he'd be- with Klee inside a room in the headquarters, playing.
His head raised up from whatever he was doing and look towards the door, a smile soon replacing his gloomy one- probably because he felt lonely without you. "(Y/N)!" He jumps up from his crossed sitting and runs up to hug you. Although it hadn't been a full day without seeing you, he seeks your affection every chance he could get. You hug back but soon let's go and turn to Klee. "Thank you so much, Klee." You gave a wink and she giggles, earning a quizzical Kaeya. You said your good nights to the young child and walked to the tavern with Kaeya.
"What have you been up to since this morning?" Kaeya asks, holding onto your hand. "Didn't I tell you this morning?" you say, smiling as your look to your side. "Surely, you didn't run around on errands for Jean, did you?" Kaeya was not dumb so keeping secrets was really hard. You chuckle as a response, not giving him a direct answer.
Then, just as you were in sight of the tavern, Kaeya looks at you with confusion reflecting his eyes. Before he could ask, you tug him along until you were at the foot of the door. He stares at you with a raised brow. "Go inside," you urge, failing to hide the excitement in your tone, eyes, and smile.
Kaeya did as told and opens the door. "Surprise!" The people inside greets with full enthusiasm. You entered soon after and stood beside him. "What, what is all this?" he asks and turns to you for the answer. "It's exactly what it looks like." You smiled. "Happy Birthday, Kaeya."
Kaeya was at a lost of words but you helped him with that by urging him on. The celebration lasted quite late into the night with full of chatter, laughter, eating, and drinking. Even Diluc was enjoying the party and you could see that Diluc's eyes were smiling at the sight of his brother enjoying the night.
After helping with the cleanup from the party, you and Kaeya went home. You were too exhausted but still had to change your clothes so you began to take of your shirt. A cold hand held your wrist before you could even have pulled on the shirt, stopping you from changing. "Kaeya?" you call his name in almost a whisper. His arms wraps around your waist and pulls you close to him, your back touching his chest. Heat soon rises from your face when you felt his breath near your ears. "K- Kaeya?" you call again, now stuttering.
"Thank you for today," he finally says. Smelling the alcohol from him, you could tell he drank too much that he was slightly drunk. "Um, it's no--" Your words were cut short when you felt his hands go underneath your shirt, causing shivers running down your spine and stiffening up.
"Relax. It's not like it's our first time doing it together," he whispers into your ears, which definitely did not help with your already warm face. "K- Kaeya, You're drunk. I, I think you should wash up and go to bed.."
"I can handle a little bit of alcohol." He chuckles and nibbles at one of your ears. Your breath hitches. "U-um, Kaeya, we shouldn't be doing this now," you managed to say through airy breaths, but Kaeya was Kaeya and he wasn't going to let a chance like this go to waste. "You know, I haven't received a gift from you yet.." he states. You could feel him smirk and at that moment, you knew you couldn't get out of what's to come.
"Why don't I receive it from you now?"

You don't know where you came from and neither did he, but that question doesn't linger on for too long, allowing yourselves to enjoy in each other's presence.
He wasn't one to have an interest in taking care of children, but ever since he found you in a woven basket in Wolvendom, he made you the centre of his life.
"Diluc, I want to train today!" Barging into his office, you greet him an enthusiastic- yet loud- morning, slamming the door wide open to create a booming sound that Diluc no longer gets a fright out of. "Can we go outside today? Please, please, please?"
He looks up from his paper to eye your person before returning his attention to the paper. "We can go out today, but it will be to the tavern. I have something to do."
You pout and slumped onto a nearby chair, your ears slightly drooping down like the hybrid dog you are. There were few people who had an animal appearance like you and perhaps that might have had been the reason he was drawn to you.
"I said I want to train, not follow you on your errands!" head snapping up as you whined. Diluc slowly closes his eyes and sighs, quite tired from the work yesterday and the added work today. However, he knows how persistent you were and how you would get annoying by the day that even Adelinde starts to get a headache. With that knowledge, he stood up shortly and looks towards your petite frame.
Your eyes sparkled and a child-like smile forms on your face, knowing what he'll say next. "Did you have breakfast already?" Diluc asks, although it was nearly afternoon, and you nod almost immediately. "Then we'll go out and quickly visit the tavern. Afterwards, we can practise your archery." If he was going to shut you up while doing his work, this method was always effective.
You hop off the couch and rushed towards the red-head, grabbing his hand and allow him to lead the way.
Although he adopted you, he did not put himself as your father on the paper and asked of you to call him by his name only, but that didn't matter to you.
You bid Adelinde goodbye and outside, you took big leaps, excited to get on with archery. "(Y/N), slow down. You'll trip and then we'll fall," Diluc points out, slightly bending as he chases after you, trying to keep up in the light of your steps.
You slowed down, walking at a more comfortable pace. For you, stamina was everything but since Diluc wasn't a child, he couldn't go as fast as you wanted. "Sorry, Diluc."
However, throughout that walk, you did stray from time to time, sometimes letting go of his hand to peek what could have been hiding in rustling bushes. "(Y/N), come back here," he would say, gaining your attention back to his side.
Upon entering the gates, a particular someone just had to show up. "Oho~ Fancy meeting you here, Master Diluc," the all too familiar Cavalry Captain greets, souring Diluc's day. Kaeya's smirk stretched a bit, looking quite smug as his eyes move from him and to your petite stature.
"And good morning, (Y/N). Are you here to run errands with Master Diluc?" He asks with a close-eyed smile, ignoring the murderous aura coming from his brother as he leans down to your level, hands on his thighs.
You nod. "I want to learn how to charge my arrow like Fish lady!" you say with a gleam. Kaeya stares dumbfoundedly at you before finally realizing that you were referring to Fischl from the Adventurer's Guild. "Oh, I see That's some intense training, but I'm sure that you can pull it off." He ruffles your hair and chuckles.
"Sir Kaeya, as a captain, you have an awful lot of time to waltz around lazily," Diluc comments, his grip on your hand tightening, but not too hard that it would hurt. This comment's venom flies by over the aforementioned male as he chuckles, shrugging. "What can I say? I'm sure you're well aware that Grand Master Varka has taken all of my knights. Who am I supposed to captain?"
You mused at the two brothers' bickering silently and see that Diluc's eyebrows were twitching-- most likely from the annoyance his brother is giving him. "But as a knight, you should have at least something to do."
"I do, and that's speaking to (Y/N)," he says. "It is a knight's duty to make sure the people are safe and so, I am speaking with him to make sure he isn't being forced into training by you. You know how wrong that is, don't you, Master Diluc?"
"Tch. I'm well aware. And on that note, I believe you're more capable of doing that than I," Diluc crosses his arms as he spoke. It was getting to the point that your feet were starting to annoy you. Standing still was not something you like doing. "Diluc, can we go now?" You tug on the hem of his coat with your free hand and pouted slightly.
This got both of the brothers' attention and they looked at each other. "Apologies, but we have to go now. You know how children are," Diluc says, feeling quite happy.
"Aw, (Y/N), doesn't want to stay with me?" Kaeya pouts. You shook your head and smiled. "I want to train!" you voiced. Kaeya hums in acknowledgement. "Hm, I see. Then, I won't keep little (Y/N) too long. But promise me you'll play with me next time." He offers his pinky finger and you took it, lacing your smaller pinky. "I promise!"
After that, Diluc tugs you along lightly, not wanting to stay anywhere near the captain, heading towards the tavern to speak with a waited person. "(Y/N), you sit here, okay? Don't stray away." Diluc says and helps you up on one of the chairs outside. You nod, swinging your legs that dangle off of the chair. Diluc stares at you and shows a small smile, ruffling your hair, and then walking off.
You were left alone, but not truly alone as you see Diluc not too far from you, talking to a man who looked wealthy themselves. It was probably a business negotiation of some sort, but you were too young to be bothered by trivial matters that did not involve you.
"Hey, hey, look at him." Whispers. To an average person, they wouldn't be able to hear it, but you weren't, and so, you heard children whispering behind you. It was also evident that they were talking about you as you heard another whisper, "He has doggy ears. I want one."
You thought they would just talk like every other person, but that thought was dismissed when you hear light footsteps coming your way. You turned your head to look down at the other children. There were two boys and a girl. The girl was most likely younger than you and the boys were older-- older than yourself. They look like trouble, you thought to yourself.
"Hey, you!" The first one to speak was one of the two boys. He has jet-black hair and wore thick glasses. You hopped off of your seat and stare at them silently, waiting for them to continue. "Is that thing on your head real?"
"Uh, yeah, it is," you answered, getting off from the chair to have a proper conversation with them. It was a common question asked to you that you lost count of how many times someone came up to you and ask.
"I don't believe it," he voiced, crossing his arms and lookin smug. "Yeah, let us touch it," the second one spoke. Your brows slightly furrows. Who were these kids and why were they suddenly asking to touch your ears? Yeah, sure it was strange and not human-like, but who gave these kids courage to spew words like that?
"Sorry, but they're really sensitive.." you state, your brows slightly furrowing. "Oh, please. I bet you're just saying that because it's actually fake!" Without warning, he reached for your ears and tug it harshly and you yelped at the pain. "Woaaah! Did you glue it onto your head? You're so weird."
"Please, let go." You knew how much stronger you were compared to average children, seeing as you had a vision and was trained to combat and so, you didn't dare use force to get him to pull away, wrapping both of your tiny hands on the wrist outstretched to you. Diluc always reminded you to never harm others. "Please, let go!" you repeated, slightly louder than before. Water started to form on the corner of your eyes the more he pulled on your ears.
In response to your distress, your vision glowed and sent a tiny shock of electro from your hands that held onto his. It wasn't harmful, but just enough to make the kid hiss and stumble back. "H, hey, what did you do to him?" The girl reached for her friend, looking at the hand that had a slight purple to it from you.
And to make matters worst, an older woman came running towards you four, seemingly to be one of their mother. "What's going on here?" the lady asks. "Mommy, look what he did to me!" the boy showed his wrist with tears on his face.
With one look at it, the lady turns towards you. "Excuse me, do you have any idea what you just did?" "I asked him if his ears were real and he suddenly attacked me!" Liar. He was lying, but you had no one to back your claims.
She huffs. "How dare you! How would you like it if someone were to do that to you." She reached her long, slender arms for your wrist. "Where are your parents? I'll have them know how naughty you are." Grabbing your wrist, she tries and drags you from your spot.
"That won't be necessary." Just in time, Diluc came back with the same, glaring-like expression on his face. The woman's eyes widened and with a gasp, let's go of your wrist. "Master Diluc?" she calls.
Diluc looks at the woman and to the children, inspecting the wrist that had been bruised. He had heard the conversation from where he stood and sped up his meeting with the person.
"Tell me what happened?" he asks, eyes returning their attention to the woman. "Well, this brat here injured my child and I was about to look for his parents."
"Oh, really? (Y/N), don't tell me you've forgotten what I told you about using your vision?" Although when he asks this, he already knows the answer. You shook your head. "I didn't mean to hurt them, I promise! They were pulling in my ears and.." Your voice grew weaker into silence, drooping your head down, thinking that he wouldn't buy your excuses.
Diluc sees this and immediately kneels down to your level, putting a hand on your shoulders and gain your attention. "Hey, look up. If you know that you are in the right, there is nothing you should shy away from," his voice was low and spoke softly to you.
Your eyes brightened up a bit and Diluc smiled-- not showing it though. He lifts you off of the ground, putting and arm under you for support as the other went on your back.
The lady was confused but most importantly, scared. "If you're looking for his guardian, you're speaking to them," Diluc spoke, eyes glued on you whilst the words directed to her. "But before you do that, demand the truth from your son." With that, he walked away, leaving the mother to ask what really happened while he comforted you.
You wrapped your arms around his neck and bury your face on his shoulders, trying hard not to let a single tear slip. You idolized Diluc for his skills in combat and his ability to never cry and so, you didn't like crying. It made you feel weak and nowhere near to become like Diluc.
"Hey, it's alright." He rubs your back, noticing your shaking body trying hard not to cry. "It's okay to cry, but don't cry for foolish people. You'll just give them what they want." In moments like these, you see Diluc as a father with his comforting words and life lectures.
You hummed and became silent. Yes, you can't cry for those types of people, you comfort yourself. Taking a deep breath, you peel yourself from his shoulders and showed him the smile that he would never admit he loves to see. A smile that gives others strength with the look of fire in your eyes.
"Alright, do you want to train now?" he asks, slightly smiling. You nod, but stopped yourself. "Wait, don't you still have other things to do?" you ask, to which Diluc ruffles your hair with his free hand. "Those can wait tomorrow. I could use some rest right now."

"It's Zhongli's birthday?" Paimon floats around beside you. You hummed. "Everyone in Liyue is offering something for their lord since it is his birthday," you state. "I want to give him something too."
"Huh. Anyway, do you have any ideas what to give him? Seeing as he is an Archon, Paimon is sure he has seen all sorts of luxurious offerings," Paimon says.
You have indeed thought about that, and not wanting to be like everyone else, you had decided on a different present, something that might seem nothing or too little, but shows your admiration for the male.
"I'll give him.. Glaze Lilies," you answered, smiling at the thought. However, Paimon looks at you weirdly. "Uh, flowers are a bit too plain, don't you think?"
It indeed was, but you thought that it was the perfect gift to represent everything you want to say to him while showing your great love toward the male.
"Let's look for something cooler, like um.. Paimon doesn't know-- just something that aren't flowers?" Paimon shrugs. You shook your head, deciding that it was Glaze Lilies that you want. Paimon sighs, "Paimon guesses it's flowers then."
You two set out, looking for wild Glaze Lilies that are now much sparse compared to that of thousands of years ago, when you had nothing to do with the planet you are trapped in.
Along with Glaze Lilies, you picked out other flowers specifically found in the surroundings of Liyue to make it much nicer.
"There, now to find Zhongli!" You smiled, feeling warm at the look of the flowers and the image of his smiling face in your mind.
You made your way back inside the city and look for the male, whom you found idling by at one of the stalls, inspecting every item it had to offer, fingers on his chin as he bends his torso forward.
"Zhongli!" you called from behind, drawing his attention away from the things and to you. "Ah, (Y/N), what brings you to me on such a day?" he greets, his eyes reflecting the same warm smile tugging his lips.
"I wanted to greet you a happy birthday." You look at the flowers and then outstretched your arms. "I know you have seen much more expensive presents, but I really hope you like these flowers that I've picked out for you," you say.
Zhongli was speechless as he looks at the bouquet of flowers in your hands.
It was awfully still for quite too long for your liking that you started to think negatively, Paimon floating beside you awkwardly.
"Ah, if you don't like them, I'll just--" Before you could finish, Zhongli places his hands on yours, cupping them along with the flowers between his. "No, I very much love them. A simple gift such as this means more to me than expensive materialistic items bought with mora as this holds much of your thoughts," he goes in to say. "A gift from you is all I ever want."
The words were true, that you know which made you smile and Paimon relax, happy that he liked the simple gift.
"Oh, might I ask something? Did you pick these flowers yourself?" he asks, taking the bouquet from your hands and inspects them for a bit before looking at your eyes again. You nod and see him warmly smile. "They are most lovely." He stares at the flowers with a much more visible look of love in his eyes.
He tears his eyes away, his amber eyes now fully locked onto yours. "Come, walk with me. Let us go looking for wild Glaze Lilies once more," he said, walking past you before stopping short to look at you over his shoulders, his eyes seeming to glow a much fiery amber.
"There is a certain song from Liyue that I would like to hear you sing-- if you'll allow me to teach you."

It was the coldest time of the year as December rolls on by, bringing the gift of white, little snowflakes along with it. This, no matter how beautiful, was cold to the touch and the people of Liyue bundled up for the season, dressing in extra layers. It may not be as cold like in Snezhnaya, but it certainly was cold for the locals.
And during this time, the streets would be less crowded, seeing as they want to be inside a building that gives them warmth and shelter from the snow. The holiday was long gone, leaving as soon as it came. However, there was something else to be more excited about that isn't the New Year-- that's in February. What you're going on about is Zhongli's birthday.
He may be an Archon, but he certainly must have been born into the world-- even if it's just created into the world by little specs of matter.
The sun was just peeking out in the horizon, its light shining through the little gaps of your curtains.
Sounds of fabric against fabric rustles and a deep groan made its way to your ears before feeling an arm wrap around your waist, strong and firm, not wanting to let go of you any time soon. You would shot up wide awake, very alarmed, if you didn't know who it was-- if, might I highlight.
You groan into their chest, just feeling the weight of sleep lift from your eyelids. Slowly just waking up, you were suddenly aware of the cold air that surrounded you and so, you reflexively drew closer to the person that emitted warmth, touching their bare skin that was left exposed from events the night prior.
"Good morning," the person croaks, making you melt at the sound of their voice. You hummed in response, then feeling their lips on your forehead, giving you a good morning kiss. "It's time to get up, my dear."
"Just a couple more minutes," you say, burying your face further into their chest. A low, yet deep chuckle reverberates from them and pulls away from you. "I'm afraid I can't stay much longer, my love. I have to go to work."
You opened your eyes, showing how upset you were. "Can't you call a day off, just for today?" you plead. "And beside that, I think you owe me a massage from yesterday.."
There was no reason to be alarmed, just as said before because the person in bed with you was no other than your lover, Zhongli.
Amber eyes glowed, reflecting in amusement of your attempt, but he was not easily swayed. However, he did lean in for a kiss that you took as another opportunity to make him stay, wrapping your arms around his neck to draw him closer.
You shifted on top of him, trapping him underneath you as you continue to kiss him, slipping your tongue inside his mouth, tongues now intertwining with each other.
His hands started to wander until it got down to your thighs and rubbing it. The heat from last night certainly have not died down just yet, but Zhongli knew better than to let you continue this, pushing you away and leaving a thin line of saliva that connected your lips to his.
You eyes was filled with visible lust from last night just starting a new flame of desire. Zhongli couldn't help but admit that he, too, was feeling his own flame being ignited once again. He would love to pin you down and do you over again, but he must restrain himself. Chuckling, he spoke, "I think you are more than able to walk, my dearest." He kissed your forehead before leaving your warmth.
"So, it's decided then, huh?" You pouted. He smiles down at your bare state, loving every inch of you. "I'm afraid so. And don't you have an errand to run with that boy today?" he says, referring to the ginger who goes by the alias of "Childe".
"Oh, right.. I forgot about him," you mumbled. "Did I possibly cause that?" he jokingly says, making his way to the bathroom. "Yeah, you did, so you owe it to me," you said, though knowing it was hopeless.
He turns the doorknob to the bathroom, but stops and looks over his shoulders at you. "Care to join me, my dear?" he asks and it took you no more than a second to answer happily, joining him in the bath.
After breakfast, you two went your separate ways, but not before kissing each other a good bye for now.
Although it may sound awfully suspicious about how you were going on an errand with Childe, Zhongli has an infinite amount of trust in you and the both of your relationship-- the two of you are married, after all.
"(Y/N), good morning," Childe greets, seeing you approach him. "Good morning. Did I make you wait long?" you ask. He shook his head almost immediately. "I just came. Anyway, what did you call me out here for?" he ask.
"First, did you reserve a table at Luili Pavillion?" you ask. He nods. He was quite curious when you approached him out of the blue to ask for a reservation, but he complied and waited for the day you'll explain. "Good. Thank you so much, Childe. You know, it's Zhongli's birthday today."
"Oh, is that so? I didn't think the Geo Archon would be interested in remembering his own birthday," Childe states quite jokingly. He wad still irritated about the fact that Zhongli toyed with him on his mission to retrieve the Gnosis and it certainly showed in his tone. "He forgets his birthday, so that is why we have to make him remember!" you exclaim.
"The reservation is during dinner time, so we'll have enough time to look for gifts! Come, Childe, we must not delay."
During the long gap until dinner, you had certainly chosen a lot of presents for his special day. Yes, you have given him quite the handful of gifts for Christmas, but that was for then-- the presents of now were for his birthday.
If you think about it, you and Zhongli were similar to your spending habits, but unlike him, you knew how to play to make the price go your way, and you never forget your wallet.
"I'm sure Mr. Zhongli will be fine with one gift as long as it came from you," Childe states, looking at the stack of boxes that were wrapped perfectly in his hands. You called Childe today to join him for Zhongli's birthday, but also because you knew you won't be able to carry the presents with just you alone. "Mm, I guess you're right, but you haven't chosen a gift yet, have you? We'll go choose yours and then we'll wait it out until dinner."
"Ah, but before we do that, could we possibly get lunch?" Childe ask. It was quarter to one and Childe felt like he was about to collapse any time soon if he doesn't get something to eat. "Oh, right, let's go to Wanmin Restaurant. My treat," you say.
"Could I possibly ask for a spoon and fork?" Childe asks Xiangling when the two of you got there. "Eh? Oh, of course!" Xiangling says and made a dash to get a spoon and fork for the male.
You laughed. "If I was Zhongli, I wouldn't dare let you get a spoon or a fork," you state, knowing how cruel Zhongli can be when it comes to teasing. "Yeah, and that's why I'm glad you're here instead of him," Childe admits, scratching his head and awkwardly laughing.
After getting Childe stuffed up, it was his turn to pick a present. To your questioning gaze, he only picks one present. "You're quite excited about his birthday, huh?" Childe says, tone neutral. It was understandable for Childe as he loves to spoil his family as well, being that they are his loved ones.
You nod. "Zhongli didn't get much free time like as now, being occupied of the status as Archon," you confess. "Now, I have much more time to spend every waking day with him.. I want to spoil him just this once."
Childe smiles at your earnest words and turned to face ahead, eyes widening when his eyes laid upon a familiar male.
He was about to tell you, but Zhongli was quick to turn his head and look your way, soon walking up to the two of you.
"M- Mr. Zhongli, hi!" Childe greets, soon getting you to panic. "Greetings, Childe." Zhongli nods to the young Harbinger and turns to you. "Hello, my dear, how are you faring this afternoon? I assume you have had your lunch?" Zhongli greets.
"Oh, ah, Z- Zhongli, fancy running into you here!" you stammered, eyeing the boxes. "Hm? Are you alright, dearest? You are aware that the funeral parlour is right over there, right?" Zhongli points to his workplace that was indeed a few metres away from the three of you.
You and Childe stare at each other from the corner of each of your eyes, eyes questiong the other what to do with the things in your hands, sweat dropping excessively.
Zhongli notices the awkward glares to the other, quite clueless. "I see that you are carrying wrapped presents.. I don't assume that there is a second holiday, one is there?" He examines the presents, finger on his chin as he does so.
"Oh, no, there isn't! These are for um.." you trailed, looking at Childe to urge him to help you. "These are for my siblings!" Childe steps in, saving the day. "Yes, for my siblings.. You know how much I love my sibilings." He chuckles forcefully.
"Ah, I see.." You two let out a silent sigh of relief. You weren't sure if it was a good thing or a bad thing how clueless he could be, but as for now, you think it was a good thing. "So, uh, I'll see you at home, Zhongli." You waved to the male and walk away, Childe trailing just as hastily as you were.
"Right, so, I'll just keep the presents safe and bring them to the restaurant, correct?" Childe asks and you nod. "Thank you for helping out, Childe."
"Haha, it's no problem. I'm quite excited for tonight. Well, I'll see you then," Childe says, and waves you off.
You went home and spent the rest of the time entertaining yourself until Zhongli was finished with work. "Welcome home," you greet, closing the book that occupied your time, and standing up from your seat, making your way to him.
You brought him into a kiss, wrapping your arms around his neck, which he took to a deeper measure by wrapping his around your waist. The kiss was long and loving, but he soon pulls away, smiling.
"Might I ask how you have been, my dear?" Zhongli asks, pulling you close as you both stood at the front door. "Mm, it was okay. Oh, in fact, we should leave right now!" you say, almost revealing your great enthusiasm.
"Oh? Where to?" he asks as you take him by the hand and drag him outside. "You'll just have to find out!" is all you said, making your way to Luili Pavillion.
Upon arriving there, your eyes make contact with Childe who waved you over smilingly. "Hey, it's about time you guys came!" Childe greets, eyes following as the two of you sat down, Zhobgli looking quite clueless.
"I've already ordered the dishes you said, (Y/N), and placed a custom made order to the place you said to go," Childe says, leaving Zhongli in the dark. You nod, thanking him.
"Might I ask for an explanation?" Zhongli asks, turning his gaze onto you. "I knew you'd forget.. But before I tell you, want to take a guess?" You grin at the male.
"Hm, there isn't a second Christmas nor is it the Lantern Rite Festival.." Zhongli hums, bringing his fingers to his chin as he deeply thought it through.
He gave no answer and asks you to tell him. "Nuh-uh, I guess you'll have to wait and find out later," you said, making Zhongli much left out in the secret.
Soon, the dishes came, filling the once empty table with delicious food. The aroma was so strong that anyone passing the restaurant would soon hear their stomach growling. "Ah, but before we eat, there's another one that's still yet to come!" you state, and as if on cue, the last waitress came, holding the most delicious and well decorated cake, placing it in front of Zhongli.
"Hm? Care to tell me now, my dear?" he asks, not connecting the dots. He could be so dumb, but that was sort of his charm. You sighed, though not out of annoyance, and finally helped him out. "Happy birthday, Zhongli!" you cheer.
"Ah, so today is the day of my birth. I quite forgot," Zhongli says, eyes fixed on the candles on the cake that almost emitted the same colour as his eyes. "I can't believe you actually forgot, Mr. Zhongli," Childe laughs at the Archon.
"Mm, come on, make a wish and blow it out!" you excitedly say. "What do I wish for?" he asks, eyes tearing away from the candle and to you.
"Whatever your heart desires," you say. Zhongli stares back at the cake, silent for a while before closing his eyes to mutter a wish in his head. After that, he opens his eyes and looks over to you once more. "Now, you blow out the candles!" you instructed and watch as he does so.
You and Childe claps, smiles adorning both of your faces at the oldest Archon. Before, you'd celebrate his birthday just enjoying a cup of tea and hear him speak, but now that he was living the life of a mortal, you decided to celebrate his special day like that of a mortal.
"Oh, right, the presents!" Childe says, standing up to talk to a nearby waitress who went to the back and soon return with an extra person, both carrying the wrapped presents, bringing it over to the table.
"And you know about the gifts from earlier? Well, they were for you," Childe says. "Most of them are from (Y/N)."
Surprise was seen reflecting in Zhongli's eyes and turns his head away from the presents to you who was smiling. "I thank you, my dear, but you didn't need to spend so much for me," he says kissing your forehead and letting his lips linger on it.
"But I wanted to," you say, melting from his kiss. Childe coughs awkwardly, a bit embarrassed to see two people getting so affectionate in front of him, seeing as he was a bachelor.
You both chuckled at the young male. "Well, let's enjoy the dishes that I know you like!" you exclaim.
After the pleasant evening, you and Zhongli returned home, now cuddling in bed, his head resting on your chest as you played with his hair. "This has been most joyous, and I thank you once again, dearest," Zhongli says.
You hummed. "I'm happy you think so," you said, closing your eyes as a smile spread across your face. "Let me say this again.."
"Happy birthday, Zhongli."

Even when it was just the two of you, you were expected to bring mora, so why would that change when there is an added person into the family?
"Mommy, Mommy! Look here, I finally tie it on my own!" A little rascal came running to your room with booming footsteps echoing down the hall, where you were still getting ready, showing you their poorly tied tie. You look over at the door and let a little chuckle before walking towards the smaller male who was quite the unique set of eyes and kneeling down to his level. "Wow, it looks good!" you praised, fixing the bowtie for him, earning a cute, little laugh from him.
The little rascal whose bowtie you were trying to fix was none other than your child, Qian. Qian was a unique child as he had features that normal humans don't have.
A second set of footsteps came echoing down the halls and stopped at your door. You look up and see your dearest husband, leaning against the door frame with his arms crossed and an unshakeable smile on his lips as he stares at the two most precious beings in the world. "Not going to mention how I helped you, I see." The older male chuckles. Qian turns his head to look up at his father before looking back at you again. "Oh yeah! Daddy taught me how to tie it, hehe," the adorable, little boy adds.
You laugh at the added statement and stood up. "Alright, should we go now?" you ask to which both of the males nodded- one with excitement. "Oh, right, Qian, make sure you hide your horns." You look at the two sets of horns that rested on top of the little boy's head.
As said before, the reason why Qian is unique is that he was a mix of a mortal and god-- yours and Zhongli's.
"Oopsies! I didn't know." He quickly retracted his horns so that they were no longer visible. His eyes, however, remained the same glowing amber eyes just like his father's; a truly unique set of eyes that makes him differ from everyone else along with his hair, and also the fact that he had the same immortality as his father.
You walked over to the door where Zhongli wrapped an arm around your waist and gave you a quick kiss on the lips. "Ew, that's gross!" Qian covers his eyes with his hands as he said so, making both you and Zhongli laugh at the little action. "Can we go now? I want toys and books!"
"Alright, we can go now. Come, grab mommy's hand," you said and offer him a hand for him to hold onto. He uncovers his eyes and reaches for your hand, feeling the warmth from his tiny hands and fingers trying to cover most of it. Zhongli went to the other side of him and held his other hand and left the house.
"Mommy, mommy! Look at the doggies!" Qian points at the two dogs that watch the inner part of the bridge, giggling as the dogs wag their tails and walking closer to the young boy. He let go both of his hands from either of yours and Zhongli's grasp and went over to the dogs, ruffling their furs. You smiled before turning to your husband, "Can you watch over Qian while I buy a few things?" Not wanting to take Qian away from the dogs, you relied on Zhongli.
He nods and places a kiss on your head. "Of course," Zhongli says. On every outing, you would take this as a chance for grocery shopping. It was hard to keep the fridge at home full especially when you had a little tyke that sneaks into the kitchen for snacks.
Not wanting to overfill the fridge, you bought only the necessary things that you have fully noted down on a paper along with snacks for Qian. He- although has the same mindset as his father's and a bit of his knowledge- could be quite the handful when he doesn't get his snacks-- throwing tantrums when he wants things. But that was just how kids were and there is nothing else you could do to appease them.
"Mommy, where did you go?" Qian asks when you returned with a bag, still playing with the dogs. "Just went to buy food," you answered, smiling as Zhongli offers to take the bag from your hands. A gentleman, he was.
"What about snacks?" He leapt up excitedly, walking away from the dogs to clung onto your dress. "I wouldn't dare forget them," you replied, seeing his eyes light up happily, then hugging your legs. "You're the best, Mommy!" You rolled your eyes. "So, I'm the best when I buy you your snacks, huh?" you ask, feigning offence and pick him up to meet your eyes. He shakes his head frivolously and re-worded his words, "Mommy is the best even when she doesn't buy Qian snack!" He kisses your cheeks and you giggled.
"What about me?" Zhongli speaks up, pointing at himself as he waits in expectance. Giggling, Qian reaches out for his father who happily engulfed him in a warm hug. The little boy then places a kiss on Zhongli's cheek and smiled. "There! Daddy gets a kiss too, so don't be sulky anymore." Zhongli chuckles and places a kiss on his son's cheeks as well.
"Where would you like to go, Qian?" Zhongli asks, carrying him with one hand as he holds the bag with the other. "Toys!" he exclaims, eyes glimmering with stars. Chuckling, the three of you made your way to a toy shop where Zhongli put Qian down to roam the store, excitedly picking a lot of toys. "Qian, you can only pick two things, okay? You already have a lot back home," you reminded, sweat dropping.
"B, but Qian really likes them..!" He pouts, giving you his doll-like eyes as he pleads. It was something that he always does and was very effective. You felt an imaginary punch to your stomach, picturing your soon-to-be empty wallet, but you just didn't know how to say no to such a face. You cranked your head to your side, looking at your husband who stood idly by cluelessly, hinting him to help.
He notices your graved face and immediately understood and clears his throat. "Qian, mora, you see, may just be a materialistic thing that one can obtain, but obtaining it is much harder than you realize, so mortals always make note of things called prices that requires mora. By doing so, they can save extra mora for other needed things," he lectures, though it doesn't seem that Qian understood what his father told him.
"Mommy can go get more, right?" he asks, clearly not understanding what Zhongli had said. "Money shouldn't be thrown around carelessly, sweetie," you spoke, kneeling to his level and placing a hand on his shoulder, his bright eyes reflecting off of yours. "Okay.. But we can come back to buy them, right?" Qian asks, to which you nodded. "Then, Qian will pick these two! Mr. Cyclops is cool!"
You look at the toy in his hand, knowing that it was a very popular toy from Snezhnaya. The toy maker was also very popular amongst children, so it was understandable seeing Qian choosing the toy. You stood up and ruffled his head before turning to place a kiss on Zhongli's cheeks. "It wasn't the best explanation, but it did make him choose two," you say and walked off to pay for the toys.
"Mommy, mommy, I'm hungry!" Qian tugs on your hands after so much walking. "Well, it is the afternoon.. Where does Qian want to go?" you ask. "I want to eat where that fire-breathing teddy bear is!" he says almost immediately, showing his enthusiasm. "Ah, Wanmin Restaurant it is." You chuckled, knowing he meant Guoba.
"Hello, welcome to Wanmin Restaurant! Please, sit wherever you like!" Xiangling greets. Qian's smile grew wider when his eyes landed on the girl and ran up to her as you and Zhongli walked to an empty table. "Miss, can I see Mr. Fire-breathing Bear?" he asks, tugging her clothes. "Oh, of course, Qian!" the female giggles and takes Guoba out. On every outing, Wanmin Restaurant was one of the places Qian loves to go and that's because of Xiangling's Guoba. He would never go to another restaurant even when suggested.
Xiangling sat her bear on the extra seat around your table- right beside Qian- and look towards you and Zhongli. "Please, take your time to look over the menu! Oh, I've also added new dishes that children might like," Xiangling says enthusiastically before leaving the table to tend to other customers.
After choosing lunch, Xiangling makes off to the kitchen and leave the three of you plus Guoba to chat for a while. "Mr. Fire-breathing Bear is cute!" Qian states, touching the bear. "Mommy, can Qian have one too?" He turns to look at you.
"Ah.. Of course!" you say, giving him a close-eyed smile. It was a good thing that Guoba was behaving on order or else it could hurt someone.
"Here are your orders!" Xiangling returns as quickly as she went, the order in her hands and places it on the table. "And a little snack for little Qian!" she says. Qian giggles and thanked her before she excused herself once more, bringing her Guoba along.
After that, you just strolled around the city until sunset and eyed interesting things, making sure that neither Qian nor Zhongli went off on their own for things they've found an interest in. It was indeed fun, but it almost felt like you had to babysit Zhongli as well who almost always wanders around to buy things without preparing money with him.
"Mommy, how come Daddy isn't allowed to bring money with him?" Qian asks, running along the edge of the docks, pretending that his Mr. Cyclops can fly. Zhongli was certainly caught by surprise and a tint of pink was seen on his face as he forcefully coughs onto his fist-- most likely embarrassed for the reason. You snickered, eyeing the man from the side of your eyes before looking over to the little boy. "He is bad at managing money, so that is why mommy has them. And also because daddy always forgets to bring his money," you answered. "When he was courting me, I had to pay for most things to which he will pay by taking me out for dinner." It was only times that Zhongli can date onto a calendar, that he will remember to bring money. Other than that? Expect to bring your wallet.
"How did daddy manage to marry mommy like that?" he asks, surprised and draws his full attention to the two of you. "Well, daddy has other charms to look at. He's especially good in b--" Zhongli immediately covers your mouth, knowing full well of what you were about to say. "I would take whatever means necessary to marry your mother-- mora aside, of course," Zhongli states, hearing you laugh from beside him, though having a mouth over you.
You remove his hand to add on but was then cut off by putting a hand over your mouth. He laced his arm around your waist and draws you close before removing the hand and placing a kiss on your cheek. "I'm just kidding. You know I will never say that," you say, giggling at his attempt to shut you up.
"Ew, daddy is kissing mommy!" Qian spoke, drawing your attention to the young boy. "It was just a kiss on the cheek.." you say. "That is still kissing!" Qian defends.
You chuckled. "Alright, come here, Qian. It's time to go home and make dinner," you say, outstretching a hand for him to hold. He excitedly runs towards you and grabs hold of your free hand, your other being held by Zhongli.
After dinner, you all sat in the living room for some more family bonding time, Qian now presenting his horns as he plays with his new toys along with his old ones. But it didn't take long for the hours to pass before looking at the clock and decided that it was time for Qian to go to sleep.
"Alright, Qian, time to go to sleep," you say. "But I still want to play with Mr. Cyclops.." He pouts. "You can play with Mr. Cyclops tomorrow, okay? He won't leave," you assured. He was a bit reluctant, but soon allowed you to pick him up to bring him to his bedroom, Zhongli trailing behind.
You helped him change into sleepwear and tuck him nicely under the blanket, then turning on the lamp on his bedside table and turning off the light before returning to sit on the edge of his bed. "Good night, Qian. Let mommy and daddy see you in your dreams," you say softly and kiss his forehead. "Good night.. Mommy.." With that, his eyelids fell heavy, drifting him off to dream land.
You stood up and turn to look at the door, seeing Zhongli's eyes glowing much brighter in the dark room. One more look at Qian before you made your way to Zhongli who waited outside the hall, leaving the door slightly open as usual.
"I'm tired." You yawned, wiping a tired tear from the corner of one of your eyes. Zhongli chuckles lowly and caught you by surprise by picking you up, bridal style. "Then, it must be time for my dear to sleep as well," Zhongli says, smiling down at you as he walks to yours and his bedroom where he lies you down and crawling to the other side of the bed, getting underneath the blanket with you.
You muzzled into his chest, letting him wrap his strong arms around you closely and engulfing you in his warmth. "Good night, my dear." He kisses your forehead. You hummed, tired, and said, "Good night, my love."

Zhongli is indeed wealthy in terms of knowledge, having noticeably a much greater understanding than any scholar of any field. But when it came to mora? Count him out. He was not the best at managing his mora and still isn't now, so that is why you were there to step in every time he is in dire need of money.
"Mr. Zhongli, you can't go around Liyue saying that you will buy everything that the store has when you know that you don't carry a wallet," you say depressingly, handing a pouch full of mora to the person behind the counter. This fact, however, did not phase the man himself, staring blankly at you, a hand on his mouth as he observes.
You took the bag of the things that Zhongli wanted to buy and walked out of the store, dragging him along. "Here." You turned around to face the male and outstretched your arm with the bag. "Do you.. Have anywhere else that you want to check out?" you ask, not wanting to leave him without mora to pay for anything. You were lucky-- wait, no, he should feel lucky that you were around and to peek curiously inside the store he was at so that you could pay for his things. "Hm, I do have one more place to go," he says.
You nodded. "Alright, we'll go to that place, but promise me that you won't go shopping for today," you say, to which he agrees. You were busy today so you couldn't go shopping with him, but you can't just leave him alone. Sometimes, you wonder how such a composed man that basically has all the knowledge of Teyvat, not even have a single mora on him.
After ensuring that Zhongli was safe to be alone, you bid farewell and did your own things to be completed.
-
"Make sure you come to work on time!" Hu Tao warns with a smile, bidding you bye. She may be an irritating person to deal with that loves to pull pranks, but as the master of the Wangshen Funeral Parlour, she could take some matters such as time seriously. You nod your head and returned a wave to your boss before going off to shop for dinner.
The night life of the city was much more crowded than that of day-- probably because the darken sky can hide many secret encounters-- be it for civil citizens or crooks lurking in alleyways to trade wanted items for their benefit. You couldn't care less of what they do-- you just wanted to buy food and go home.
A familiar whiff of food made its way to your nostrils and made your stomach growl, deciding that it wanted to eat that specific food. You jerk your head to find the place that sells it, which you found in mere seconds upon your hunger and trotted over immediately. "Woah! They are selling these again!" you exclaim happily, eyes reflecting stars as you slightly drool.
Wiping the drool off with the back of your hand, you reached for your pouch money, but when you opened it, it was completely empty! "Eh!? I swore I had mora in here. I'm sure I didn't even spend--" Your words were cut short, remembering that you had used up your paycheck yesterday to help Zhongli. You sulked, knowing that you'll have to go hungry till your next paycheck.
"Maybe I can ask Hu Tao for extra money?" you ask yourself, feeling sad tears welling up in your eyes. About to come to the conclusion and go home, a voice spoke up from behind. "(Y/N), what are you doing here so late at night?"
Turning to look over your shoulders and craning your head up a bit, you were met with amber eyes that seemed to glow brighter than the lights in the city.
"Mr. Zhongli, what are you doing here?" you ask, full of surprise that a man such as himself would be caught loitering around food vendors such as the one you were at. "I.. Went for a nightly stroll, is all," he answers. "May I ask about you as well?"
"Uh, well.. I was going to buy dinner, but I used up all my mora, so I'm going to go home.." you answered honestly, though a bit embarrassed saying it out loud, especially to the man you like. "Oh, is that so? Well, if that is the case, I will pay for you," he says and looks towards the person who ran the food stall. "Excuse me, I'd like to buy a dozen of these." He points at the food you were just drooling about not too long ago. The person nods smilingly and took out a bag to place the right amount of demand inside.
"M- Mr. Zhongli, aren't you forgetting your wallet?" you ask, swear dropping frivolously. You coming there and not having mora was embarrassing enough and will be more embarrassing with Zhongli, knowing that he most likely forgot his wallet at home. He eyes you, a small smile tugging his charming face as he places a hand on your head before taking out what seems to be his wallet. "Here you are, boss," he says, handing a pouch full of money, not even asking for the price or counting the money. "U, uh, sir, this is quite a lot." And indeed it was. "It is fine. You may keep the extra," he states. The vendor thanked Zhongli and even put in a couple extra of the food ordered with no added charge.
Once far from the stall, Zhongli hands you the bag. "U, uhm, I'm surprised that you brought your wallet.. But I'll pay you back, I promise!" you say determinedly. Zhongli smiles and shook his head. "There is no need to. As I had said, I need not such materialistic thing," Zhongli states. He loves to repeat those words and it was kind of funny that even when saying it so many times, you didn't think of it.
"Then is there anything I can do to make it even?" you ask. "You have already paid for my things more times than I could ever hope to repay you," he says softly. But even when he says that, it didn't sit right with you. You have been helping him because you liked him and wanting nothing more than to care for him, but he is probably doing it to repay your kindness.
Noticing your expression and guessing your thoughts, Zhongli added, "You can, however, pay it by joining me for dinner." Upon hearing it, your eyes lit up as you stare at the man with a surprised face. "I confess, I have found a liking to you, (Y/N). I a unsure of any other method to court you other than to take you out," Zhongli says, full of confidence that it even reflects his eyes.
"I.. I would love that!" You smiled. Who knew that a man like him would be found courting for an average local such as yourself. "I am pleased to hear that." Zhongli returns your smile with a smile of his own and walked you to a restaurant that he had been planning take you to for a long while.

"So, you're a consultant from the Wangshen Funeral Parlour?" you ask, taking the cup of tea and bringing it close your lips before taking a sip, eyes glued on the man before you.
A relationship was quickly built between you two after many encounters since meeting in the field of glaze lilies. And now, there you two sat, in some restaurant, enjoying tea as the sun's warmth bathe your skin.
"Yes, what about you, my dear?" Zhongli asks. You put down the cup and scratched your cheek, averting your gaze from the man. "Ah.. Well.. It's nothing worth of noting.." you mumbled. "I'm just a humble assistant for the Tianquan."
"Oh? Then you should be more proud of that," Zhongli said. "O-oh, I am, trust me! I love Lady Ningguang with all my heart. She is a wonderful person," you waved your arms in front as you praised the woman.
You sigh and dropped your arms onto your lap, a small smile tugging your lips at the thought of the Tianquan. "Actually, the Lady herself came to me and told be that I should work for her. I accepted because I didn't have work. But now, I don't think I'm cut out to be her assistant."
Zhongli huffs a small smile of his own. "Tell me, how long have you been working as an assistant?" he asks, bringing his cup close to his lips. You pondered at the question. "I guess almost a year now."
"The Tianquan has a keen eye when it comes to scouting and there is no doubt that she saw something in you " he states, placing the cup down before continuing. "If you praise the Tianquan as much as you do right now, then you must believe in her just the same."
"Ah.. You're right about that." The corner of your lips tugs itself more, showing a brighter smile. "Thank you, Mr. Zhongli."
"Please, just call me Zhongli. There is no need for formalities now that we are this close," he points.
"A, ah, okay then, Zhongli." His eyes crinkle, reflecting a glimmer of a smile matching his lips.
It will be a long while since he will have your heart, but he's willing to wait. Good things comes to those who are patient enough, as mortals would tend to say.
"My dear, would you care to join me for a stroll outside the city?" he asks. "Huh? Now? This is quite sudden," you said, blinking your eyes a couple of times at the proposal.
"I'd like to selfishly ask of you to sing a song for the glaze lilies as well," he avows. He wishes that he could hear more of you because he missed your voice dearly so it was a good thing that you were still you from years ago-- very talkative and bright.
"Oh, okay.. Yeah! I guess I can sing for the flowers and you as well." Smiling, Zhongli stood up and offers a hand to hold which you happily accept.
You still don't know what makes you so drawn to the male, but you liked the feeling that flutters in your chest. At every thing he says and do, you were captivated so when he offered his hand, your cheeks warmed and felt tingly.
Zhongli shared interesting things along the way, all getting your limitless curiosity. "You really know a lot of things. Are you sure you're just a consultant? Not a scholar or a noble?" you ask in a playful manner. He laughs. "I assure you, I am nothing more than a consultant."
You giggled, covering your mouth with a fisted hand. "Oh, we're here!" you exclaim, looking ahead to a field of glaze lilies. Their petals were closed shut, but one can easily tell that it multiplied. The reason for that? You.
When you walked through the field on a task, you noticed a small group of glaze lilies. Despite it being too little at the time, you found it beautiful so you came there whenever you can. You later knew that singing would help it open its petals when you hummed your special tune.
You sat at the same spot you usually did and Zhongli followed, sitting down beside you. "You know, these flowers remind me of you, Zhongli," you state, happily picking one with its petals open.
"How so?" he asks, quite amused at the statement. Looking at the flower in your hands, your eyes smiled to a distant memory you no longer hold. A memory when you were an immortal. You didn't know that, but Zhongli did.
"Well, it's beautiful just like you." You look at him, the corner of your eyes wrinkling as you smiled.
You outstretched your hand with the flower, urging him to take it. "And I think it goes wonderful with you," you said once he took it.
He smiles, looking at the given glaze lily. Then, looking to meet your eyes, he kindly spoke. "I think they suit you better, my dear," he said, pushing your hair out of the way to place the flower behind you ear, getting close and brushing his hands on your skin as he does so.
Your face flushes a deep red at the sudden closeness and touch. When Zhongli moved away, a chuckle reverberates in his throat upon seeing your flustered face.
"A, ah.. I.. Thank you," were the only words you could stammer in your state. Zhongli gave a close-eyed smile as response, deciding that you will be more flustered if he spoke any further.
"My dear, would you care to sing a little song for me?" he asks, changing the topic. "It's a song one has not have heard of." Luckily, this worked and your face returned to its normal colour. "Hm? You sing too, Zhongli?" you ask excitedly, eyes sparkling with stars.
"I do, but I am not as talented as you are," he answers. "Then, I would love for you to teach me if it means I could hear you sing," you said.
Zhongli nods and began to teach you the song as he sings. His voice was deep and really complimented the tune. It made you at ease, closing your eyes as it lulled you to drowsiness and washing away any worries you might have had.
Once he finished, you praised him in earnest. "Why don't you give it a try, my dear?" he asks. You nod, wanting to sing such a lovely song.
As you began to sing, Zhongli noted in his mind that your voice was truly more lovelier than his. The song was one he made for you in his days where the sadness was much harder to bear. It was a song telling you how much he loved you, but also a song about the loneliness he had the bear. You didn't know, only focusing on how it sounded.
He wishes that he will get to tell you the truth someday, but he knew that that day will never come. After all, a mortal with no recollection of her past won't understand.
No matter, he thought to himself, you will always come back to him, no matter which life you are on. After all, you are his phoenix while he is your dragon and as the knowledge goes in Liyue, the phoenix and dragon represents woman and man, yin and yang.
In the tales of old, when the phoenix returned to ashes once more, the dragon would wait for his phoenix to come back. And this happened like a cycle.

Twice.
Twice had the amber-eyed male encountered two persons whom he learned to cherish, but then fall witness to a crushing sight of their cold and limp body, eyes dimmed of life. Both meeting and parting happening in the field where glaze lilies bloom.
He has seen countless of lives lost, but none were as disheartening as when the two people he cared for disappear like dust being swept away by the wind. One was his best friend and the other one- whom held a closer tie to his heart- was his lover.
That was many thousands of years ago, yet he couldn't help reminisce the times of old and the happy memories that blossomed like flowers with it. His heart felt heavier each day when he thought of what he could have done during the war to have saved the two he cared for so deeply so that they were there with him today and proudly talk about their accomplishments that they had earned together, but that unfortunately can't happen as he was the only one left of the inseparable trio.
He looks at the sunset in the horizon and sighs, closing his eyes and replayed the deaths of his friend and lover. It was around this time of day where the sun looked like a gem and glimmered like one that his lover had died. His best friend died days before amongst the field of blue and he and his lover both there to comfort her so that she could return to the soils like the God of Dust she was.
Then came his only ray of light in the calamity that surrounded them. He remembers all too clearly of that day and how he had held onto her body, pleading with tears dripping down from his face and hitting her cold ones to not leave him just like his best friend not too many days prior to her death. "You'll be alright, I promise. So, please, don't close your eyes!" He begged.
He watched as she weakily forces a smile and caress the male's face lovingly, flinching when he felt her cold fingertips. "Glaze lilies.. Guizhong.. Liked these flowers.." she had weaikly said, tears of her own starting to well in her eyes. "I.. I like them too.." She utters a few more words, trying to lighten up the mood as her eyes become more and more lifeless by the second. "Rex.. Promise me that you will do.. What Guizhong had said. Please, protect her people.." Her hand that caressed his cheek fall to her side as she took one last breath before joining her older sister in the afterlife. Even in her last moments of life, she had talked about her loving sister and his best friend, and now, she left, taking his heart along with her. He had cried and held her body close to his, not wanting her to become nothing but a memory, but to his sadness, her body had turned to dust like her sister's and slipped between his grasp, allowing the wind to take them.
Both meeting and parting happening in the field where glaze lilies bloom.
"Hey, earth to Mr. Zhongli." An all too familiar voice snaps him from his reminiscing and opens his eyes to be faced by none other than the eleventh Fatui Harbinger, Childe. "Childe, to what may I offer you this fine evening?" the funeral consultant asks, not a look of sadness seen on the man's face.
"Ah, nothing really.. I was walking past the docks when I saw you kind of just spacing out on the bench," the younger male states. "Is that what it looked like? Well, indeed you are correct," Zhongli says, not denying what the Harbinger had said.
"You okay, Mr. Zhongli?" Childe asks, taking note of how distant his Liyue friend had become lately ever since the Rite of Parting. "Of course, I am. What makes you ask that, Childe?" The male was caught off guard of the strange, yet reasonable question.
"It's nothing.. Anyway, I guess I will be heading off to Snezhnaya tomorrow. A shame that I won't be tagging along with the traveller for most of their adventures, but I'll meet them soon enough," he said and sighs. "Well, I best be off now." He bids goodbye to the quiet male and disappears amongst the flooding crowds.
Zhongli, the man who can ramble on with so much knowledge, was then left again to his own thoughts. He looks towards the sun that was setting down slowly, colour the same as his eyes, but there was a huge different. While the sun sets down with pride, his was filled with sadness and loneliness.
Tomorrow..
"Is the day of her death."
For the past two thousand years, not once had he missed a year to see the field that was slowly becoming barren of the blue flowers where his lover took her last breath and he wasn't going to miss it for the world tomorrow.
When the sun was still starting to peek through the darken sky, Zhongli was missing from his house, already out the gates and protection of the city and the Milleliths. Today, he didn't go in the form of Rex Lapis, but as a mortal called Zhongli and he wishes to have a one-sided conversation with the flowers and wind around to tell them about the recent events that took place not too long ago.
He soon see the field and the little flowers that he knew was soon to wilt away and blown away by a gentle wind. However, it wasn't so lonely and looked as if there was more of them than the last time he came by to reminisce and they also opened up their petals, meaning to say that someone had caused them to open up. He wondered as to who the person was, but that was soon answered when he heard soft singing in the distance.
Looking over to a tree amongst the field, he sees the back of a woman, leaning against it. More of the glaze lilies around started to bloom, showing their true beauty. But, this was not the reason as to why the tall male froze on the spot, heart starting to quicken; the song that the woman was singing was a song that no one in Teyvat knew. He remembers the song as he was always singing it for the flowers on this day. The song had been taken from someone else and that person was the only other person who knew of the words; the one who made it and sung it. It was her song.
He gulped back a lump in his throat and slowly approach the female in question, but accidentally stepped on a flower, making a crunching noise which alerted the female. She hastily stood up and turn around, eyes sharp and on guard.
Her hair length and its colour, her eyes and their colour, the size and shape of her nose, lips-- you name it. They were all the same as hers. His heart felt as if it stopped, yet was racing at the same time. The world also felt that it held its breath, making everything frozen, but leaving the two and the field still running with the flow of time. A gentle breeze swept across the field, rifling their clothing and hair, but the two stood their, not being bothered by it.
All the similarities was there and he had no doubt about it. His lover had came back.
You came back.
"Um, who are you?" your soft and gentle voice made its way to his ears and he realized that he was staring too long and making you feel uncomfortable. "Ah, my apologies. I didn't mean to alarm you," he starts, feeling a sort of ache in his heart when you couldn't recognize who he was. "I.. I was very moved by your song. Did you hear that from somewhere or someone perhaps?" He had to know if it was truly you or a look alike of you, but he was positive of it being the prior.
"Ah, you were moved by the song? That's actually the first time someone had said that- well, it's probably because they never heard it.." you mumbled the second part. "I actually made it up. Well, I'm not sure, maybe..? I've always been humming the tune since young and made the words soon after. It could be someone else's song that I've heard so I'm not quite too sure..?" You rambled on, contradicting your words and jumbling everything up. This made the male's heart light and felt his missing pieces starting to return.
He laughs, remembering that this was the way you used to act thousands of years ago with a heart as gentle, fragile, and beautiful as a gem. You were taken aback and felt embarrassed as you were not well with words. "Ah.. I made myself sound like fool, didn't I?" You scratched your cheek, averting your gaze to the ground and feeling something warm rise up to your face.
Zhongli's laughter quited down and looks at you with loving eyes and a warm smile. Oh how he missed you so. "What is your name, my dear?" he asks, pretending to not know your name. You look up at the handsome man, feeling your cheeks becoming more tingly at every detail on his face that you trace with your eyes. "I, I'm (Y/N), sir," you answered. Although you had never seen the man before, you felt as if you've known him far longer and had a feeling that you know what he likes, dislikes, and whatnot.
"(Y/N).. What a beautiful name," he says softly. Your heart races at the words, but you did not know why. Who was this man, you had asked yourself. "I'm Zhongli."
In this life, he thought, he will do his utmost best to give you a life full of happiness with him, but that would take a while since you were now a mortal with no recollection of the man you loved before then. However, he was fine with making you fall for him again, as long as you love him like before.
In the field of blue is where he met the reincarnation of his lover. And in that field, is where he knows you'll depart once more. But this time, he knows he will meet you again and will wait thousands of years just to see you again and make you love him just as before.
Both meeting and parting happening in the field where glaze lilies bloom.

What was it about you that he saw? Was it the way your eyes would sparkle every now and then? Was it your smile? Your hair?
At this point, you were doubting he even saw something in you that even you yourself didn't. I mean, all he has been doing was reading his book and now paying attention to you in the slightest.
When the relationship was just like a blossoming flower; it was full of colour with him but now, it feels, to you, that it has wilted away as soon as it sprouted. You didn't feel the love from him.
This made you worry. Was there something about you that he dislikes? Whatever it was, you could fix it. You just want him to speak to you-- tell you. You'll happily change that one flaw or two that made him look so uninterested in you.
"Why don't you ask him?"
Your skin crawled in fright and became aware of another person beside you. Turning to look over your shoulders, you see Chongyun leaning forward on the backrest of the bench, holding his popsicle. "How long have you been there?" you ask. He shrugs and licks his treat. "Long enough. Anyway, I guess I'm correct on the part where you're thinking about Xingqiu." Ah, you didn't deny it, didn't you?
"A, ah, yeah.." Your eyes trailed to somewhere else, not bothering to hide anything from your friend. Chongyun has been very supportive of your relationship and looked very pleased when Xingqiu finally stopped praising you when the two hung out alone. You don't know the cheesy things that bookworm said about you.
"So, what's holding you back from asking him?" he asks, licking the last bits of his popsicle. You were silent, not knowing how to answer. What is holding you back? You two are lovers, yes? Taking your silence as a response that you didn't know, Chongyun sighs. "I really think you should go talk to him. He has been reading his books so a nice change would be nice." He smiles which in turn, made you smile.
-
"(Y/N)? Hey, are you here to see Xingqiu?" Xingqiu's brother greets, a smile adorning his face. He was walking past the door when he stopped to a familiar face-- you.
You smiled. "Yes, is he here?" you ask. His brother hooked his fingers under his chin while eyes stared off to the sky. "Hm, I believe he's in the back reading a book." Of course he is. It was always books with him. You nod, following a quick "Thank you" before heading further into the house until stopping short outside to see him reading away.
"Xingqiu, good morning," you greet, walking closer to the male. He looks up and with a quick greeting, he turns to his book, nose deep. For some odd reason, it feels as if he has fallen out of love with you. It was suffocating to know this but that is what the situation implies.
You sat down on the same bench, beside him and stared off to the clear blue sky. The fact that there were no clouds made your stomach churn. It could have just been you, but you do not like how the sky shone brightly on that particular day.
"Hey, Xingqiu, could you put that book down for a moment?" You turn your head to ask. He hums to your question, but dare not peal his eyes off of it. It was upsetting enough and you waited no longer and took it away from him which got his attention. "Give that back!" he snaps.
It made you flinch. He has never used such tone with you and to hear it now-- "If there is something wrong or something that I need fixing, please tell me.." Your eyes reflected your tone of desperation which, in turn, he shies his head down. Your heart drop. So, there truly is something going on and it dealt with you. "Xingqiu, please talk to me.. I can fix it, I promise!"
"(Y/N)." It was just the call of your name but you stopped. The world felt awfully still in that moment, and that scared you. What is he going to say? Just as the thought passes, he spoke. "I think we should break up." Oh that word you longed feared hit you. You panicked and became a fumbling mess. "Why? Is it because I'm too annoying? Do I bother you too much? Was it something something I said? Please, tell me, Xing--"
"Can you just be quiet?" He looks at you from the side of his eyes that darkened. You flinched. Never in your life had you seen him with that look. The Xingqiu you knew was always cunning in his own smiley way that never had the need to glare at anybody.
It was silent when you looked down on the hands that folded nicely on your lap, its grip tightening as you hold back your tears, but you shouldn't break down there. Not yet, at least.
He looks at you, eyes lingering on your profile before turning away with a heavy sigh. "Yes, you're annoying so be quiet." To make things sting as much as it already did, he had to speak. "Didn't you see that I was avoiding you?"
You bit the insides of your cheek. Of course. How could you not know? You have been starved of his attention for an awfully long time to know he has grown irritated of your presence.
You stare at him as he stood up, lips quivering and tears threatening to fall. "I'm tired of this, (Y/N)." That was it. You didn't want to hear another word from his mouth and stood up, eyes glued to the ground. "F, fine.. I'll go." Not wanting to breathe the same air as him, you ran outside of their house, Xingqiu's brother momentarily blinking confusedly when you past him.
"Hey, what's up with you and (Y/N)?" he asks, stepping outside the courtyard. Xingqiu's eyes stared at the many pebbles that decorated the ground. "It's nothing." With that, he turns and leaves, heading straight for his room.
Miles away from his house, you stood staring out towards the sea as you finally allowed your tears to flow. Hiccuping between quiet sobs, you cursed today's sun for seemingly mocking at you with its ever so brightly glimmer.
You shouldn't have come to his house today. You shouldn't have taken that book away from him. You shouldn't--
"(Y/N)?" Snapping your head to your right, Chongyun stares at you with a pitiful look. He had seen this coming from a mile away but he let it happened, not knowing what to do. So, to repay for that, he came and hugged you tightly and allowed yourself to stain his shirt with your tears as he stare off to the distance, thinking about Xingqiu. Was he happy with this decision, Chongyun had asked himself.
In truth, Xingqiu didn't want to break up with you, but he had no choice. He did this all for you and wished you knew why. But no, he thought it through that it would be best to not let you clung onto memories and fantasies that you thought would become reality and leave them bitter on your tongue for when he leaves.
"I'm sorry.."
