Is simplicity best, Or simply the easiest? The narrowest path, Is always the holiest.

one of my favorite depeche mode related stories is that one from the late 90s where dave was showing martin one of his songs and martin was so fucking wasted he just said "that's great dave!" and immediately proceeded to run down a flight of stairs and puke all over the floor before passing out

Kerrang! - January 2, 1999
People are always saying, ‘You’re really nice, I thought you were going to be a complete asshole.’ I’m getting pretty fed up with it. I just want to say to them, ‘Well I could always piss on your head.’
With some new additions courtesy from @devotn @reznor-gasm and @sweetiereallysblog Thanks guys!
“Trent is... well, you can't be in all that much rage and pain unless you have a very big heart.”
-Tori Amos, on why she chose Trent for backing vocals on ‘Past the Mission’
“He might have been nervous singing that song- I don’t remember how many takes we did, but we did a lot”
-Toby Wright on Alice in Chains performing Sludge Factory on MTVs Unplugged
“Patton is sick, I love how versatile he is, the energy that he is, and he’s got so many different voices; I don’t think he’s ever satisfied, and that’s why he keeps swimming so fast. It’s amazing to see all the notes and the different art that he puts out. I also took a little bit of a lesson out of his book by going it alone and making indie records, [Former Dillinger Escape Plan vocalist and Cantrell collaborator] Greg Puciato is good mates with Patton as well, and he’s had experience doing independent records and running everything out of a little mom-and-pop store instead of a major record label structure. So that’s another really interesting feature about this record [Brighten] it’s my first completely independent record. And I definitely took some notes and guidance from Greg, and Mike Patton through Greg in that department.”
— Jerry Cantrell talking about how much he admires Mike Patton while being nterviewed by radio presenter-turned-podcast host Matt Stocks on his popular, long-running Life In The Stocks podcast.
