Names in Norse mythology have meanings and are important. ‘Glut’ means “glow” as she’s a FIRE giantess. 'Angrboda’ means “Bringer of grief”, as she gives birth to the “monsters” that will bring Ragnarok and kill the gods. And 'Sigyn’ means 'Friend of Victory’… I read someone thought it was meant in an “ironical” way… WHY WOULD IT BE IRONICAL FOR HER AND NOT FOR THE OTHERS??? It makes no sense, mostly if you remember how she’s pictured on the Gosforth cross, with a warrior hairdo. Stop pretending Sigyn is/was a victim, when clearly, all clues show us that she is not. Also, LOKI LOVES HER AND THEIR KIDS. And why wouldn’t he? She’s the only one to stand by his side in his hour of need. What’s not to love?
