My girlfriend and I visited a castle last weekend. It was smaller than the ones people usually visit, though I dare say it was much more picturesque, than any one I have ever seen.
My girlfriend is a very inspirational person and I'm glad she convinced me to go. I like castles and nice buildings just fine but an unusually busy period of summer was just over, so I felt overall tired-- almost too tired to go.
After exploring every empty hall, every majestic architectural feat, we headed home. I was happy to be able to rest and also to have visited this castle. The whole thing was good as it was.
Later (now), sitting at home, this trip began to hold importance, other than being a fantastic vacation. As it is said above, I've been very active recently. I was so active, in fact, that I've begun to believe, that it is all right to stop for a little while. Well, OK, periods of relaxation are inevitable, that's true. What I realized, though, is, that even in times of rest and peace, I can't stop completely. We aren't cars, which you turn off, when you arrive at home and turn on the next morning, when you want to go to work. Our breathing doesn't stop, our hearts don't stop beating. Even when the world is quiet, we need to stay in motion, or else, much like our organs, we will be difficult to reactivate. Life can be grand but only if we live it.
It's almost Valentine's, for sure and I wanted to post that and hoping to get ready for Valentine's Day.
The room behind the shattered window filled with tears. Faster than the cracks and the new hole could handle. The many people in the public house had no time to escape. That only made the tears flow as rivers from their eyes. And so just adding to their certain drowning. After the panic and last bobbles, bodies was slowly circulating under the ceiling. It was quite a peaceful. Why the windows, especially the newly smashed, didn't burst from the pressure of the water, was one peculiar thing. Another was the dead moving around, almost as if they had adapted death as a new life. With a purpose. To keep on crying. But you couldn't see it. Their eyes was filled with water anyway. Tears just made the body float a bit. Like small adjusting thrusters in space. The dead began manoeuvring by bursts of tears. One of their first missions, was to replace that broken window. It was all very sad. They kept the old shattered window. Framed it and hung it on the wall. A minute's silence, a moment of contemplating life and death. #mantelmomento #danielmantel #udenfilter #window #cracks #waterworld #tears #fiction #breathing #aliveandwell #smashed #life #everythingdependsonthewayyouseeitorinthiscasehowyoudieandliveonanway (Usual one-off hashtag) (her: Alive - Ready)

First time I've drawn in a while. Used some gel pens I got for Christmas and had not used yet.
I've been keeping busy. The holidays were fast and not long enough, I recovered my breathing just in time for mom to be forced back into treatment and so I have taken on all of the chores, I am mom again to my sister, and I am dog sitter/trainer. Just before being forced back into an intense treatment program, she got a puppy with the intention to train her as a service dog, so I am in charge of her exposure, potty, and basic commands training.
Wishing I had more color options. Eventually I will. Even so, I like how it turned out.
It’s difficult to do space colors in colored pencils. Especially when you cannot think about colors. But this is what I got for today.
