Absolutely adorable
Will try soon!
study tip:
dress up in a nice dress and do your makeup and pretend you're going on a date with the study material. I like having candles and fancy snacks
6.11.2022
Trying to get back in the studying mood is the hardest part of studying.
There's still time left until my midterms, but I don't want to cram a lot right before the exams, so I'm trying to get back on track. Productivity level is remarkably low.
Any advice on getting motivated to study?
First Impressions đ
I've had 4 of my 5 classes so far (one doesn't start til october) and I definitely have some thoughts on them, so I thought I'd share my first impressions!
Principals of Accounting II:
the professor seems a bit disorganized, nervous, and semi chaotic but I like his energy
so many people in southern attire, I was a bit surprised
might take a decent amount of study time and energy to keep my grade up in the class, but I'm always up for a challenge and I definitely know I'm capable
gotta figure out a time efficient study routine for this class
Learning (Psychology)
professor has an accent, no idea where he's from, but it's a cool and thankfully understandable accent
feels very content heavy. I definitely want to buy the textbook for this class
need to find a way to stay awake, that's one of the classrooms that make me sleepy
that professor likes to talk for sure (1 hour and 15 min of just the syllabus? man's can talk)
Integrated Survey of Organic and Bio Chemistry
the professor is definitely a science guy, him being the professor makes perfect sense
i really like how he explains and teaches
appreciate that all the content needed is already posted to our class online and all the slides are available already
I love science based classes because I know how to succeed in them and this one seems no different
I have a friend in the class so that's nice!
Intro To Business (Online)
lots of content
lots to do
I gotta make sure I time manage for this class cause otherwise, I'm gonna fall behind
an introduction video?? why not just a discussion post?? ahhhhh
Overall, with working full time, this is going to be an incredibly stressful, incredibly busy semester, but I'm so up for the challenge, and I know I can do it. I just gotta study efficiently, time manage properly, and keep disciplined. I WILL be successful.

Daily Check-in: April 3rd, 2024 đ
Today was a weird day. My anxiety was off the walls, and I think it's because that time of the month decided to occur, which is throwing me way off. Birth control has made that not happen for 2 years so, I was definitely caught off guard. (omg I hope that's not tmi, it's just something I gotta deal with again as a woman)
đ©· What I Accomplished Today:
Reviewed Spanish Busuu Chapters 6 and 7
Reviewed all flashcards once fully through
listened to one podcast episode in spanish
completed question set about renal nutrition from my dietitian mentor
met with an advisor regarding adding a 2nd major in finance
met with my advisor and got some good advice before adding the 2nd major
emailed the director of the Dietetic program at my college to schedule a meeting
wrote chemistry notes (need to finish and catch up with this week - I've missed both lectures)
completed a chemistry homework assignment
planned tasks for tomorrow
met with dietitian mentor
scrubbed my toilet clean
đ©· Good Things That Happened:
got an extension on my chem lab report
got confirmation of taking a make up quiz for my psyc class
took an hour nap
got excused from lecture and lab today (going to make it up tomorrow)
met most of my goal tasks
my meetings with the advisors went really well
got to talk to my dad per usual, and he was supportive of the 2nd major stuff
my boyfriend was supportive of my 2nd major stuff
met a super cute blue heeler puppy that was so cute and friendly, tho she did cut my thumb slightly but it's okay cause she's just a puppy
got 7k steps in today
đ©· What Could've Been Better:
could've managed my anxiety a bit better
could've been more productive instead of doing my "productive procrastination"
need to stop trying to do academic things while sitting in bed
need to stop trying to stay awake when I randomly wake up at 4am
need to drink more water, for sure
need to work on better nutrition
Today was a weird day. But that's okay. Weird days do happen. I know now what made it weird, and I'll adapt.

Accountability Buddy Search!
I am currently on the search for an accountability buddy! Someone I can use to keep me on track with my academic goals, life admin goals, language study goals, and whatever specific things I'd want to accomplish! I also would love to help someone else stay accountable with their academic/language/life admin goals!
editing to add: I AM LOOKING FOR AN ACCOUNTAVILITY BUDDY AGAIN! Communication via discord and I will be updating my goals!
Here are some of my goals:
regularly studying spanish/Japanese
sticking to my routines consistently
maintaining a healthy, productive balance in life
regularly meeting my personal goals (reading, joirnaling, working out, etc)
Here are some things about me:
I am a 22 year old female
I am a senior n university, but 3rd year of studying my major
My major is Human Nutrition/Dietetics, and I am also minoring in Psychology and Exercise Science
I want to begin regularly studying Japanese and Spanish, and maybe Korean too
I want to begin reading, journaling, and sticking to consistent skincare and workour routines as well as keep academically inclined.
My Preferences in Accountability Buddy:
Female, 19-24 years of age (no minors or males, please.)
preferably in college/university, but it also doesn't matter if you independently study languages
also has some academic/productive oriented goals, or just goals that you'd like to be kept accountable on
has a not super personal way of contact for the accountability check ins (GroupMe, Discord, and eventually maybe a way to video call once we get more comfortable with each other, but of course, safety first! and tumblr inbox works too, but I feel discord or groupme might be a little easier long term)
hopefully willing to stay accountability buddies for a decent amount of time (for the next 4 weeks at minimum)
willing to lay out or goals, accountability check in schedule, and open to communication with respect to each of our time zones/schedules/commitments, etc
conversationaly fluent/fluent in English or English first language at the least. It's the only language I currently speak so it would be easier to work with someone that speaks the same language
If anyone is interested in having/being an accountability buddy, please send me an ask or message me! Please be respectful of my preferences tho, I really do want to be safe with something like this because with the internet, you never know. I look forward to possibly meeting/working with/becoming acquaintances with you guys!!
ps. please don't be put off by the aesthetics of my blog, I can assure you all, I am a typical, 21 year old college student who works an on campus job, struggles with sleep and caffiene, and is constantly staying on top of my grades and classes while also worrying if I'm doing enough to keep my GPA at a good spot. this blogs aesthetics are purely for fun and artistic expression. If I wasn't such an aesthetic-loving person, I'd post my own study type photos but I'd feel so less-than if I posted like, a non cohesive plethora of photos I take. I'm not good at taking photos

favorite stationery items?
I thought of something fun to do on my blog that would keep me entertained for a while!
everyone and anyone can reboot this and/or comment with your favorite stationery items, whether you use them for school, bulletin journaling, or work!
Iâll start!
Zebra mildliners <3
Kokuyo campu binders and notebooks, grid paper tho as Iâve shifted away from using ruled/lined paper
Muji gel pens 0.5 (not the biggest fan of the 0.38 size)
Most gel pens in general
Brush pens! Iâve used zebra, tombow, etc
zebra milk gel pens (I think thatâs what theyâre called? They write so nice and the colors are so cute)
stabilo boss highlighters (pastel)
thatâs all I can think of right now. But I am an avid stationery lover and collector. The bigger I can grow my collection the better!
so let me know what some of your guys favorite stationery items are! Ohhh and maybe mention your favorite websites and/or apps for buying stationery! I love kawaii pen shop and stationery pal!
til later, lovelies đ©·
In Need of Motivation đ
can anyone recommend some good studyspo YouTubers or just any studyspo content, study motivation advice and tips for right now?
I have homework and studying I need to work on but canât find the motivation to move from my bed to my desk.
I might try a Study to Success video, or an old video from Studyquill.
also, Iâm curious, what keeps you guys going to get some work done when you donât feel like doing it? What sparks your productivity?

Current Japanese Study Routine + Resources đ
As you all may know, I am currently self studying Japanese and Spanish, though I am putting Spanish on the back burner for now so I can focus more on Japanese as that is where my passion lies at the moment. Lucky for me, there is a Japanese language and culture club on my university campus that I am (hopefully) going to join next week or the week after, given how busy my schedule ends up being. I thought Iâd make a little post about my current routine that I use to study and what resources I am currently using and am planning on purchasing to use in order to build my proficiency in this beautiful language!
Current Resources đ©·
Apps - I am currently playing around with several apps to see which ones work for me, so here is all the apps I currently have downloaded to my iPad/phone
Duolingo - this has been a go to for all language Iâve ever tried to learn, itâs useful for me as a basic introduction to vocabulary, sentence structure, some grammar, and I just like how it involves typing, speaking, listening, and reading.
Drops - this one is just a fun little 5 minutes gamified way to learn vocabulary for me, itâs definitely a go to on my lazier language learning days
Bunpo - I like this for learning the kana but I didnât realize it costs money to use fully so I am debating purchasing a subscription to the paid version
Write Japanese - this one Iâm using to learn the correct stroke order for the kana and I like it for the most part
Renshuu - I just signed in to use this one last night and it looks interesting. Iâve seen it recommended by several blogs and even when google searching language learning and watching YouTube videos so Iâm excited to try it out!
NHK for School - I saw someone recommend this on their blog and I remember using the website version in the past so I know this will be helpful when it comes to reading
Jisho - this is a dictionary app that Iâve seen recommended on so many platforms and Iâm always open to a good dictionary!
Japanese - this one was recommended on a blog post and it allows you to add vocabulary and interesting phrases so I thought itâd be useful once I start on learning sentence structure and grammar
Italki - this one is the one Iâm most excited to use. It connects you to people who speak and teach your target language for a set timed lesson, and it does cost money but you pay by lesson, not on a subscription basis. So if you do one lesson the first week and then another lesson in three weeks or something, you only pay for those two lessons. Iâm really looking forward to trying this one out in the future once I get more comfortable with speaking.
Anki - a flash card app I am using to currently learn hiragana and will soon use for katakana and eventually kanji and phrases. I was gonna use Quizlet but I ended up liking this one better for my current needs.
LingoDeer, Memrise, Babbel, HiNative, HelloTalk, Hey Japan, Busuu, Kanji, Kana, Sensei - apps that I have and have not tried yet. I really like the ones Iâve already tried so Iâm not sure if Iâm going to use these ones soon but if I get bored of current apps than I at least have alternatives to turn to to continue learning
Textbooks/Workbooks/Materials - I currently own two workbooks but will include the resource I am planning on buying, as well as any stationery material I am also using!
Japanese for Busy People I - This was the workbook we had for the Japanese class I took at my university while in high school. My dad ended up buying it for me if I promised not to take Japanese classes once I went to college. (My parents donât believe it is useful to know and they are helping pay for my education so I didnât have a choice.) I havenât started reusing it yet but once I am comfortable with the kana then I will resume using it.
Letâs Learn Katakana - this is a katakana writing book my older brother bought for me (he is supportive of everything I have an interest in even if he doesnât understand it himself) and it is really useful for learning and practicing writing katakana. However I am still focusing on relearning hiragana so I will return to this workbook after I solidify my hiragana knowledge.
Genki I and Genki II textbook/workbook + answer key bundle - I am planning to buy this off of Amazon as I have heard from most people who are learning Japanese on their own that this set is really useful for self studying so of course I am going to invest in it once I get paid next week.
I am also looking for a hiragana, katakana, and kanji writing workbook to practice those skills.
Free Online Resources -
YouTube!
Anime!
Music
Manga
Anything free I can find online when google searching resources
Stationary Supplies -
Kokuyo Campus Smart Ring Binder in pink
Tombow Fudenosuke Brush Pens in black
Index cards
Pilot g-2 fashion pens
Zebra mild liner highlighter/markers
Papermate Mechanical Pencils
Mini notebook to carry around for vocabulary
My iPad + Apple Pencil + Goodnotes 5
My Chromebook
A lot of resources but I am trying to stick with this for the long term. A few years ago, I self studied Japanese everyday for about 2 years and gained a good understanding but fell off from studying Japanese when I went to university.
My Current Study Routine* đ
*when I have more than 30 minutes to study, if I only have 30 minutes or less I just mess around on my language apps
I currently do not use any workbooks or textbooks as I am trying to re familiarize myself with the language. Hereâs my current study routine!
Practice Anki flashcards 3 times or until I get 85-90% correct
Practice hiragana writing in Write Japanese app (~10min)
Duolingo lessons for 10 minutes
1 Japanese language Drops lesson
Use Renshuu until I get bored (~10-15min)
Watch an episode of anime as a reward (Japanese audio with English subtitles)
I will switch this up to a more structured way of studying once I start using my textbooks and workbooks, but for now this relaxed style of learning is working for me time wise and attention wise (ADHD brain right here).
I also listen to Japanese music throughout the day and try to recall hiragana characters correctly in my head when I have the time. I also sneak in some practice when at work on my apps and whatnot. I mentioned in my last daily check in some of my favorite Japanese artists, and I also love Japanese versions of K-pop songs too! Iâm currently watching Bungou Stray Dogs on crunchyroll right now, and Iâm open to any recommendations for what to watch next!
If anyone has any language learning tips or resources theyâd want to share, feel free to comment! It would be greatly appreciated!

Day 57/100 days of productivity
Sorry itâs late! This is for yesterday but I was so tired it completely slipped my mind aha đ anyways, I had a good day yesterday and got a good amount done âšđżđŻ
Achievements:
Learnt the first two sections of my Spanish speaking presentation
Rehearsed my lines and used different rehearsal techniques to enhance my character
Wrote an email to an office head asking about work experience
Practised the dance from my drama group
Signed up for the revision courses during Easter
Went to an English Language revision session this evening
Had an alright day today, this week feels like itâs dragging on forever though :(
Gotta love that NMR!
Also can we appreciate those perfect hexagons because it took ages to draw those ahaha
Have a great Sunday!
My eyes snapped open at 7:30am so I figured Iâd have a wash, stretch out my aching muscles and do some maths. After this Iâll go and grab some breakfast :)
Itâs finally half term so the pressure is momentarily off and I can catch up on all my outstanding tasks.
I feel like Iâve achieved a lot in the past couple of hours Iâve been up!
Have an amazing day!
I hate surprise tests but I know I need to start revising now so thatâs what Iâve been doing all evening. Now Iâm done I can finally sit down with the book Iâve been wanting to read all day!
I love that feeling of being so absorbed in a book you donât want to ever put it down. Iâve finally found pleasure in reading again - something I lost when I found out aphantasia wasnât something anyone else I knew had. I just read because I love words and can feel their nuances rather than see them in action in my head :)
Have a lovely evening!
As if I saved this as a draft instead of putting it into my queue đ
Thank you so much for your continued support during my absence. Itâs been a while but it is the holidays so Iâm going to wait until next week to try my next run of 100 days, because thatâs when I go back to sixth form.
So this was a while back, when I had just finished mocks. I find out how I did on the 10th January.
Integration at A2 is disgusting. Integration by substitution and especially integration by parts are just stupidly hard for my brain to understand for some reason haha
I feel... fulfilled. Somehow. Like I managed to achieve something meaningful that pushed me forwards in my goal of ultimately getting 5A*âs, because Iâm normally a terrible procrastinator when Iâm bored. Who knows, I may or may not get those grades but I will be proud of whatever I get because I put my best foot forward.
See you guys soon! I will be posting in the meantime (I promise) as I revise and get my brain back into the swing of things, so Iâm going to be busy!
Whiteboards are my favourite way of revising. To add a dimension of challenge and novelty, I often incorporate French and German into science revision. That way if I watch a video to revise, I know I wonât switch off and automatically assume that I know it all just because itâs familiar. I actually have to listen and do something with the language to make sure I understand, because the content is being shown to me in a different way. It also kills two birds with one stone!
Plus I completely forgot how to translate Entgiftungsfunktion into English (despite the fact that I am English đ) and figured that the German encapsulated it quite nicely. I just go with whatâs tidiest hehe
Hey! so i just created my very first studygram (shameless self promo @decafstudy follow me) and one of my irl friends saw my stories and posts and asked âHow many hours does your day have? ÂŽcause mine only has 24âł and that got me thinking abt how i take the most advantage of my days to make them feel (or look) 48 hours long! Here are a few of the things I incorporate on my daily student life to be more productive!
âą IF YOUR FIRST CLASS STARTS LATE IN THE MORNING WAKE UP 2 HOURS EARLIER THAN NEEDED i know, am i crazy? ok so hereÂŽs the deal. If your first class starts, letÂŽs say, at 11:00 A.M you might be tempted to wake up at 10:00 A.M, get dressed, and head to school. Not only does this create bad habits for when you get assigned a 7:00 A.M class (which will happen) but you lose MANY HOURS OF PRECIOUS TIME. Get your 8-9 hours of sleep and do not let yourself wake up later than needed. My class sometimes starts at 11:30 A.M so i wake up at 8:00 have a nice morning, relax, work out a bit, light up a candle and get ahead on reading and work for school! Your day will start and feel more productive!
âą NEVER LEAVE CLASS WITH A DOUBT ON YOUR MIND I know this might create anxiety for people who are shy and do not like asking questions during class (i am one of those people) If you feel just too scared to ask during class APPROACH THE TEACHER AFTER CLASS ENDS. as soon as he dismisses class, approach him and ask the question. If you are not able to do so DO NOT STRESS, BUT WRITE THAT QUESTION DOWN ASAP ON A POST IT AND STICK IT YOUR NOTEBOOK. that way you will have the question at hand and you can seek tutoring later and ask, or even ask a friend BUT NEVER LET A QUESTION GO, NEVER think âi will ask it laterâ BECAUSE YOU WONÂŽT and IT WILL DOOM YOU. This will save so much time when you study, because all your questions will be at hand and you will know what you have to focus on studying.
âą WHENEVER YOU HAVE FREE TIME, USE IT TO WORK WHILE DOING SOMETHING FUN instead of just diving head first into watching a movie, ask yourself if there is something more productive that you could be doing rn (reading ahead, reviewing, doing extra math exercises) if the answer is yes, then put that movie on mute and work while taking a peek at the movie ever once in a while. This will not only help you with discipline and learning to keep yourself from distractions, but it will occupy your free time in something that your future self will thank you for later on.
âą NEVER ASSUME THAT YOU WILL BE ABLE TO DO IT LATER again, think in terms of your FUTURE SELF how much would your future self love it if instead of studying 3 days before the exam, you studied a week before it? How much would your future self love it of instead of reading until 12:00 PM tomorrow, you divided the reading between today and tomorrow? never assume that you will have spare time ahead because chances are that you wonÂŽt and you will end up with A BUNCH of work that you didnÂŽt do and that you canÂŽt do at the moment. FUTURE SELF THINKING has saved my life.
âą LEAVE TIME OPEN FOR MENTAL HEALTH/PHYSICAL/RECREATIVE CARE as much as i always put work first, I KEEP MY THERAPIST VISIT AND MY GYM ROUTINE STABLE no matter how much work i have. This helps me feel more balanced and like i am on top of everything, not just school, feeling good=more productivity.
âą POMODORO TECHNIQUE i know many people know about this but if you donÂŽt, this is basically a studying technique in which you work or study for 25-30 minutes straight NO DISTRACTIONS and then have a 5-6 minute break, and then repeat the process as many hours as you need. This really helps me not get burnt out when I have a heavy load of work. Watching study with me videos on yt is a good way of keeping the pomodoro system going. Some good apps that I use for POMODORO are Forest and Tide.
âą HAVE AN APP CARPET ON YOUR PHONE THAT IS CALLED âPRODUCTIVITYâ ie. download a BUNCH of cute as hell apps that help you get motivated and organised when you look at them. This will make you more prone to look at your phone as an INSTRUMENT rather than a DISTRACTION. (my fave apps are Taskade, Forest, Tide, Brainscape and Pocket)
⹠Lastly, GET MOTIVATED i know this sounds cliché, but the reason why i love keeping my day busy is because i surround myself with a romanticised idea of studying. Doing these kinds of posts, following a bunch of accounts with pretty notes, having a clean room and desk, going to the library and appreciating the color scheme or sounds around you, listening to relaxing sounds or music while working, downloading many pretty apps to keep myself on track while having a cute aesthetic⊠all of these things might seem small, but they make you feel cleaner, more balanced and more prone to LIKING the work you do.
Anyways i know most of you already do these cause yall are on top of your game alllll the tiiiiime girl, but if any of these helps, ill be very happy!
to be your best, pink academia, academic weapon, it girl self. this will be updated continuously âš

This is a guide for people who have exams coming up. It consists of what to do if you want 100% on your upcoming exams, study tips, and more!
Check this masterlist by @merakinotes and also this post+ masterlist by @areistotle it has everything youâll ever need.
Bank of questions / past papers study method: you can create your own questions on Quizlet or any online quiz maker or use past papers/ revision resources.
Study everyday. If your exam is even a month away, thatâs good because it means you donât have to study hours everyday, but you can at least keep a goal to study 30 mins a day or to learn/ understand/ memorise a new thing part of that topic every day.
Feynman technique. Basically pretend as if youâre the teacher and teach the topic to someone/ something (ex a stuffed animal)
Record yourself talking. When youâre revising, record yourself talking about some of the stuff so you can listen to it later when youâre unable to study.
Visual learning!! Personally, I love this one. If youâre studying something like science, history, etc, then draw pictures! Draw pictures to better help you understand a word/ concept. (Example: in science I couldnât remember the whole definition of combustion so I just drew a stickman image of the atom and the oxygen and then those 2 chemically combined)
Never turn the exam in early!! Are you finished? Then re read the exam and re take the exam. Double check, triple check etc your answers. Keep looking through your answers again and again, step by step. Only give the test in at the very end.
Watch the clock! Donât spend lots of time on one question trying to figure it out. Look at the time and make sure you still have enough to complete all the questions and maybe also recheck them.
If you donât completely understand a question/ itâs more complicated: skip it and go to the next question. Come back to that harder question later.
Remember: the 100/100 grade is already yours. You just need to claim it!
Affirmations: you can create your own set of customised affirmations or you can use THIS affirmation list that I made for high grades
Subliminal: Iâve made a playlist on YouTube with all my favourite academic subliminals. You can also search up 100/100 grades or full marks in tests subliminals.
(These are just to further help you if these tips do not help. Remember that watching videos or reading about studying/ study tips is not studying. Itâs procrastinating. Consume these in moderation.)

12/11 day of productiveness. I'm in my 2nd semester of Masters of biotech and I got 10 out of 30 marks in analytical exam. :( I studied so much. It will be 15% of my grade. I was very sad about this. That's why I determined to study 1 hour of analytical everyday. Hope I'll improve a lot before my final assessment test. I'm currently reading Funny Stories chosen by Michael Rosen
The COVID situation is getting worse day by day here. :(
A study with me video đ with Korean music in the background.
Tips & Tricks:
Now days I study with background musics and they really helped me with concentration. â€
Study tips for growing
Try pomodoro method if you have concentration problem or cannot study for longer hours. This will break your work into small doable portions.
Highlighter is an important part if you are reading research papers, I personally prefer pink highlighter in my PDFs.
Creating a to-do list but put only 3 things to do everyday. I use in built to- do app in my laptop, there's some great apps out for mobile phones.
If you want your notes to look to aesthetic then make it as original as possible, don't run for aesthetics, run for content.
This are some of the tips I came up with on my own that works wonderful for me. Hope this will help you too :)

Before/After
Happiness is crossing out your works ïŒŻ(â§ââŠ)ïŒŻ in your to-do list ..
I tried many ways to be productive but writing down your works with a time limit period works like magic. Believe me. When you cross down each works that's a marvelous feeling.
Instead of wasting paper I prefer the in build sticky note app in my laptop to jot down things and in this online days posting sticky notes on your screen works better than writing it down on paper.
Day 1/10 of being productive.
Small steps matter.
(seeing as there are v few scottish studyblrs and highers are bloody difficult!)
(for non-scots, highers are exams we do in between gcse and a-level equivalents)
understand, donât memorise. this applies to basically every class- if you understand why you do a certain method to solve a problem/ conjugate a verb/ analyse a poem then you can do it in every scenario
prepare to get stuff wrong. there is a significant difference between national 5s and highers, and most people i know took a confidence bump at the start of the year because of the sheer quantity of work. itâs okay!! itâs all learning and all learning is good
work with the right people. i sat with my friends in maths and desperately wish i hadnât because i worked way better with people who actually challenged me to work hard! find people who are a similar level to you and work together
past papers. there are dozens of past papers online, far more than national 5s. watch out for content that isnât in courses anymore! dunblane high schoolâs website has a great collection of past papers that i used loads
have time off. the workload in s5 is crazy so you need to balance your time. use any study periods to finish work and give yourself relax time in the evenings and at the weekends as much as you can
prelims are important but make sure you donât burn out. as soon as you finish prelims youâll likely start learning the next part of the course, and i know from experience that it is horrible to do when youâre completely exhausted after prelims. schedule days off into your prelim leave when you can!
i hope that helped somebody because s5 was a really difficult year for me and i wish i had known some of this at the start! if anybody happens to want tips on a particular subject, i got As in maths, physics, chem, french and english and would be more than happy to tell you what was helpful for me!! <3

Standard study schedule: block off lectures, labs, regular commitments
Note the weeks that have assignments and tests that will require extra studying
Donât oscillate too heavily every day with study times (i.e. donât study 2-3 hours for weeks and then 10-12 hour days right before an exam)
Eat and sleep to make more extended work periods liveable and enjoyable
DAILY
Set an amount of time would like to study every day
Try to study most days
Avoid vague/zoned out studying â> waste of time
Do a little bit daily but donât let studying be your whole day

Look at important ideas/vocab
Prioritize new vocab because language is most fundamental and important tool in any subject
Circle abbreviations and make yourself a key somewhere so you donât forget what the hell that abbreviations meant

Donât limit studying to the night
Study whenever, wherever between classes
Variety helps focus and motivation
Especially if tired at night and canât transition between subjects
Try to study for a specific subject right before/after the class
Wow, these are some really really good tips! đ
1. you ace tests by overlearning. you should know your notes/flashcards/definitions basically by heart. if someone asks you about a topic when youâre away from class or your notes and you can answer them in a thorough and and accurate answer, then youâre good, you know the material.Â
2. if you donât understand something, it will end up on the test. so just donât disregard and hope that this specific topic wonât be on the test. give it more attention, help, and practice. find a packet of problems on that one concept and donât stop until you finish it and know it the best.Â
3. sometimes you just need that Parental Push. you know in elementary school, they would tell you âok now itâs time for you to do your homework! you have a project coming up, start looking for a topic now!â ONE of your teachers might be like this. be thankful for it and follow their advice! these teachers are the best at always keeping you on track with their calendar. if not a teacher, then have one of your friends be that person that can keep you accountable for the things you promised you would do.Â
4. you just need to kick your own ass. seriously. i know it sucks and its hard to study for two things at once. BUT. I DONT CARE IF ITâS HARD. you need to do it and at least do it to get it over with because you canât keep putting things off. If you do, you will eventually run out of time and you will hate yourself. force yourself to do it. i made myself sign up for june ACT even though thereâs finals because if i didnât, i probably never would. like do i think iâm gonna be ready in one month? probably not, SO I BETTER GET ON IT AND START STUDYING!Â
5. do homework even if it doesnât count. if you actually try on it, then you will actually do so much better on the tests, itâs like magic.Â
6. literally just get so angry about procrastinating that you make yourself start that assignment. I know how hard it is to kick the procrastination habit. I have to procrastinate. So I make myself start by thinking about my deadlines way early. I think, âoh i have a presentation in three weeks (but it really takes 2 weeks to do), iâll be good and start today.â when that doesnât happen, you say youâll do it tomorrow, and this happens for like the next four days. I get so mad at myself for not starting when i am given a new chance to do so with every passing day. By that time, you actually have exactly how much time you need for it AND you were able to procrastinate the same way you usually do ;)
