Princess Ruth was a direct descendant of Kamehameha I, who was the head chief to bring the Hawaiian Islands together during the 17 and 18th century. Born on February 9, 1826, Princess Ruth came to power during the 18th century, when theocracy, a system of government in which priest’s rule in the name of God or a god, which continues after the kappa system that is broken in 1817.
NO.2
She served as royal governor of the island of Hawai’i, and became a landowner, would become the largest landowner on the island. Unlike most of the rest of the royal family, who submitted to Christianity and the foreigner’s laws and traditions, she kept up Hawaiian’s traditions. Because of this, it led Westerners to think that she was backward and stupid. When her first husband died, she soon remarried her second husband, Isaac Davis, who was rather emotionally abusive, and soon became physical, to the point that he struck her across the face and left her a noticeable disfiguration on her nose. She would later divorce him, showing her strength to the American people on the island, and gain land from his wealthy family.
NO. 3
Princess Ruth now had a large hold of estates, elegant mansions and palaces held for the royal family, she preferred to live in a grass house and hold political, economic, etc. meetings there. She was intelligent and called a ‘shrewd businesswoman’, and a formidable political opponent, who cared for her people, and cared as much for her adopted son, who she wanted to be in line for the throne. He was raised knowing about the Hawaiian traditions and of the new laws, but unfortunately dies from fever. An incident, later on occurs when a volcano erupted and spewed molten lava down the roads into town, and when she came to visit and stood before it, the lava miraculously stopped. Some say she did it, that because of her royal lineage and her strong belief in her people and culture, she prayed long fully and was able to stop the lava flow.
Though she was highly respected, her main struggle was the control that the foreigners had over the island, but her hold over the old ways was what made her courageous in the change to Western ways. She was the final line of Hawaiian authority. Princess Ruth died on May 24th, 19th century, and her funeral was held June 17th.
I'm writing a story rn but I figured I could write some quotes here to see if people entertain this kind off idea soooo lmk PLEASE
the quotes/aesthetic 👇🏻
A quote:
-No! I am the next for the throne. Me. and may God be my witness, if you try to stand in the way of that I'll murder you myself.
Perhaps he knew that already, or maybe he just discovered it, but the fact stands: her heritage does matter. They are fundamentally different, just like their respective fathers. Azure wished in that moment that his sister was born more like their mother than she lets on.
-you would really do that?
There's a beat of silence, painful, knowing silence between them.
- in cold blood.
She's not like our mother, she never was.

Liu Chuyu was the first-born daughter of Emperor Xiaowu and his empress, during the Liu Song dynasty. Never heard of it? Neither had I. Lasting just 60 years in the 400s CE, it was one of the four southern kingdoms which succeeded the Eastern Jin Empire. While it was going, the Liu Song dynasty ruled most of southern China, but a string of incompetent or tyrannical emperors led to internal instability and the dynasty’s quick downfall.
Luckily for her, Liu Chuyu was born during a relatively stable period. Her father became Emperor Xiaowu by force, but his reign was more or less stable, and he died of natural causes when she was 17 or 18. The transition of power was bloodless and his son, Liu Chuyu’s younger brother, followed Emperor Xiaowu upon the throne.
Before he died, her father married her to He Ji, son of a prominent official. Liu Chuyu doesn’t seem to have been so happy about this. History records that when her brother left the palace she would often go to see him. One of those visits, Liu Chuyu said to him “While our genders are different, we are born of the same father. However, you have more than 10,000 women in your palaces, and I only have one husband, and this is unfair.” In response, her younger brother selected 30 young handsome men for her to keep. (Doesn’t it sound weird when put like that?) Liu Chuyu … enjoyed… them for a year before her brother was assassinated. Her uncle took the throne, denounced Liu Chuyu for her immorality, and ordered her to commit suicide. No more male harems for princesses.

Doctor, can anything else be done?
Alas, the boy has stopped breathing, the bleeding has been unsuccessful.
Cardinal Basset, Please perform last rights, I will inform the King and Queen.
In nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritus Sancti. Amen...
Doctor please, how is Thomas?
Your Majesty...I-I-I'm sorry, he's gone
No, no, no ,no , no, no, no
It's alright darling, just breathe, breathe
He can't be gone [sniffles] my little boy!
This is your fault! I told you, I told you the children should go and stay with William and Arielle at Chenonceau away from this plague! But you insisted we stay close to the city to 'project an image of strength'! Is your power so important you hold it above your family?-
Above your children!? How could you?
Margaret, get a hold of yourself! Do you really think I would knowingly put my son at risk!? One of my heirs?-
[Sighs] Now, take a deep breath and calm down. It's all going to be okay
[Whispers] I'm sorry, I'm sorry [crying quietly]
We will have another son Maggie, I can feel it.
Breaking news from Windsor Castle, HRH Prince Thomas has fallen ill with the sweating sickness. This is crushing news for the royal family, who were planning to relocate back to Windenburg Palace now that sweating sickness cases have dropped in the city.
The royal doctor is attending to Thomas and the family are praying for his good health.
To My People,
With the sweat spreading across our fair country and further out to the North, this is a trying time for all of us. As we all brave this new threat I am humbled by the tales I have heard of people coming together and helping those in need. This I feel truly represents who we are as a united and strong kingdom. It is stories like this that make me confident we will beat this illness as we have overcome all our past struggles.
My physicians have advised all of us to stay away from those infected with the sweat and to burn all bedding from those infected. St Bartholomew’s, St Mary's and St John's are accepting patients who don't have access to a personal physician. I am sending my prayers to all of you.
Let us hold onto the light within us all and shine it bright on this darkness.
Yours Faithfully,
King Avery De Lune Of Windenburg
Sweating sickness continues to spread rapidly through England, the city of Windenburg has been particularly effected and the city streets appear foreign as a quiet has set over the city. Everyone has been keeping indoors and St Bartholomew’s Hospital is overflowing with patients. Though the hospital was recently updated thanks to generous donations from the King and the church, the mysterious sickness is proving difficult to quell.
The current outbreak of the sickness has taken the lives of thousands and as is protocol in an epidemic of this nature, the Royal family have been rushed out of Windenburg to Glimmerbrook. They are staying in Windsor Castle, where they usually vacation in the winter. King Avery held court before leaving for Windsor, telling the people his thoughts are with all his subjects and he has faith that as with all trials the strength of the English people will prevail.
The Royal Family has released a series of personal paintings of the family enjoying time together around the newly rebuilt palace. The public gets a rare chance to see a casual side to the King and Queen and their children.
The family has been spending a lot of time in the palace, instead of on royal outings since rumors the sweating sickness has been spreading closer to Windenberg. The King is known to have a fear of the sickness as he lost his father and brother to the mysterious sickness in his youth. It is said the King has many doctors and herbal remedies around the palace to stave off the sickness.
The country is hoping it will pass through the city like last year, until then the place is closed to the public and courtiers that don’t already reside here.
Some close ups from the wedding...
The newly married royals exited the chapel to fanfare from the guests of the kingdom. The couple waved to the crowd as they boarded their new family carriage, drawn by two horses gifted to the couple from HRH Princess Arielle’s father HRH King Louis Navaree. The couple will be honeymooning in Oasis Springs in Spain before returning to live at their royal residence (also a wedding gift, this time from Williams father King Avery) Chateau de Chenonceau.
When they return, they will also begin their offical royal duties.
The wedding the kingdom has been waiting for! The royal event began with the traditional procession from St James Palace to Notre Lumière Cathedral. Courtiers, nobles and royals were invited inside and the people of the kingdom who were fortunate to be early enough were allowed to stand in special viewing locations that were created outside the cathedral just for the event. There was even a royal lottery where three lucky people from the public were chosen to sit inside the cathedral!
HRH Princess Arielle Navaree was walked down the aisle by her father HRH King Louis Navaree of France, he gave her away to Crown Prince William and the couple bowed together before HRH King Avery and HRH Queen Margaret. Also seated in a throne with his parents is second in line to the throne, Williams brother Prince Thomas. Prince Thomas took the place meant for the Queen mother, who sadly passed last year.
Many royals traveled to see the wedding, pictured in the first painting of the guests are, (From left to right) HRH Princess Avis De Lune, HRH Princess Sophia De Lune, HRH Prince Kingston De Lune, HRH King Mario Valladares of Spain, HRH Queen Lorena Valladares of Spain (she is also Princesses of Monaco), Princess Grace Valladares of Spain, Princess Kiko Misako of Japan, Emperess Toshi Misako of Japan and Duchess Amelia Holbrook of Glimmerbrook.
In the second painting of the guests are, (from right to left) HRH King Louis Navaree of France, HRH Queen Josephine Of France, HRH Princess Isabella of France, Tzar Mironov Petrovna of Russia, Zarina Valeria Petrovna of Russia, Grand Duchess Anastasia Petrovna of Russia and Pharaoh Iritis Amennot of Egypt.
The King and Queen were said to be very proud to welcome the foreign royals and look forward to showing them around the kingdom!
The royal family has finally moved in the the new palace that will now serve as the offical royal residence for most of the year. The King has granted access inside so the kingdom can see the spender of the building.
Pictured;
The First Painting portrays HRH King Avery in his new advisory room, the room is adorned with gold fittings and filled with maps of the kingdom, precious historical texts and the royal medals of past kings.
The Second Painting features the throne room, the throne room is now open to receive members of court and members of the kingdom that wish to make a request of the King.
The Third Painting shows HRH Princess Avis in The Gold Room, this room will serve as the royal nursery for any new royals born in the Palace. The room is filled will gold laced furnishings to symbolise the importance of an heir to the kingdom. The King And Queen already have five children, could all the effort into this room mean the Queen is with child again?
The Fourth Painting features HRH Prince Kingston in his apartments, the adorable young royal is very popular among courtiers for his bright and curious nature and apparently has a love for the colour orange!
The Fifth Painting features HRH Prince Thomas in his bedroom, Thomas is known to have a love of reading and spends a great deal of his time in the royal libraries.
The Sixth Painting features HRH Princesses Sophia in the pink apartments, her personal apartments. The Princess has long been the subject of rumours surrounding her ill health. Though this can’t be confirmed, it is known that the King has a soft spot for the Princess. Her apartments certainly reflect this, they are the largest of all his children in the palace.
The Seventh Painting features HRH Queen Margaret in the Palace Chapel. The Queen is said to be very religious and visits the chapel twice a day.
The Eighth Painting features HRH King Avery, HRH Queen Margaret and heir to the throne Crown Prince William in the Ballroom. Prince William is currently preparing for his wedding with HRH Princess Arielle Navarre. The wedding will likely be one of the largest England has seen in recent times, as it will also mean the Treaty Of the Deux will be signed and the terms of it will begin. Royals from Spain, Russia and Egypt have confirmed they will be traveling here for the event.
Courtiers have been waiting with excitement to see how the King has furnished the new palace. The style of the palace is said to have a modern take and be furnished with the utmost opulence. We can't wait to hear from the lucky few who will get to venture inside!
The Palace has released a statement to the court today that the couple are officially engaged! No more speculation needed, now we shall wait to see just what the uniting of the English and French royal families will mean.
Congratulations to the beautiful couple!
HRH Crown Prince William of Windenburg was spotted visiting Luisante National Park today and appeared to be spending time with with his potential future brides HRH Princess Arielle Navarre and her sister HRH Princess Isabelle Navarre. Can you spot which couple sparks flew with?
The court anxiously awaits an engagement notice!
The royal visit to France continues with the royals visiting Luisante National Park. During their stay in France the Royal family is staying at the guests apartments in Versailles. King Louis has just finished extensive renovations to the palace and it’s rumoured the guest apartments are awash with gold, from the gold flecked walls to the solid gold beds and decor. The French royal families own apartments are substantially less grand, the King clearly wants to display his Kingdoms vast wealth to guests.
Perhaps this is part of the reason King Avery is happy for his son to marry into the family.
The day at the park was spent with the Kings discussing the proposed ‘Treaty Of the Deux’ which will be signed upon Crown Prince Williams marriage to one of King Louis daughters. So far not much is known about the treaty though there will likely be an aspect that will untie the two countries military forces. Should any country seek to attack either France or England they will have the mighty forces of both countries to contend with.
Queen Margaret and Queen Josephine were seen deep in discussion on a stroll in the beautiful park while the sun was setting. Though we don't know what the Queens were discussing exactly, Queen Margaret is widely known in England as one of the largest patrons of artwork in the country so it can be assumed she was curious about Frances own efforts in the preserving of artwork.
(Pictured in the last portrait from left, HRH Queen Josephine Navarre of Brindleton Bay, France, HRH King Louis Navarre of Brindleton Bay, France, HRH King Avery De Lune of Windenburg, England and HRH Queen Margaret De Lune of Windenburg, England)
King Avery’s illegitimate children not included ...
The Windenburg Royal Family has made an official state visit to the Kingdom of France. A visit that has sent courtiers chins wagging, rumours circulating that the visits main intent is to secure an engagement promise with Crown Prince William and one of King Louis Navarre of Brindleton Bay’s daughters. HRH Princess Arielle Navarre or her sister HRH Princess Isabelle Navarre. The match would not only secure a marital alliance but likely will be followed by a treaty uniting England and France.
The notion of a treaty is supported by the fact that both Kings wore simple crowns that had no attachment to either’s lands. HRH King Avery is usually seen wearing the Crown Of Eyes, which belonged to his Grandfather, who's vast Kingdom occupied parts of England, France, Germany and Spain. It’s believed the King didn't wear this crown as a sign of respect to King Louis.
Depicted in the paintings of the royal families Principal Painter in Ordinary, Sir Thomas Lawrence, you can see the arrival of the whole of the royal family, King Avery De Lune, Queen Margaret De Lune, Crown Prince William, Princess Avis, Princess Sophia, Prince Thomas and Prince Kingston. This is the first most of the public is seeing of the Kings younger children, Princess Sophia, Prince Thomas and Prince Kingston. The court has been eager to see the children after rumours Princess Sophia and Prince Thomas were sickly and that’s why they haven't been seen at court events.
Shown in the paintings is the moment both royal families bowed to each other as a sign of friendship and respect.
The last paintings are offical portraits that were presented to Crown Prince William and King Avery for approval before the state visit. This is largely considered standard practice when royals are deciding on potential brides.
The Royal family has released the first paintings commissioned by the King that the new offical court painter Sir Thomas Lawrence has finished. The painter has been given the title of Principal Painter in Ordinary, and will be exclusively painting the royal family both at court and when the family visit other courts. Sir Thomas has been given a rather generous fixed salary, and will surely be living the life of a noblemen with his knew role.
The paintings released today are meant to show the members of the court pictured doing activities they enjoy. It is suspected that the Kings Royal Advisor Duke Jacob Gilbert of Oxfordshire may have chosen this subject so that the kingdom can get to know the royal family better.
The first painting features her Royal Highness Queen Margaret De Lune of Windenburg standing in her garden. The Queen is known for her green thumb and it is said one of the favourite places of courtiers is her rose garden. As it’s one of the most beautiful parts of the palace.
The second painting features His Royal Highness King Avery De Lune of Windenburg, standing in the royal library. The library has one of the largest collections of books on all topics in the country and the King spends a great deal of time in the library, versing himself on as many subjects as possible. This could be the reason for the Kings infamous wit.
The third painting features Her Royal Highness Princess Avis De Lune of Windenburg, practicing music on her piano, which was a gift to the Princess from the French Queen. Princess Avis has been learning to play the piano since the young age of three, and it is apparently the activity she most enjoys learning from her tutors.
The final painting is of his Royal Highness Crown Prince William De Lune of Windenburg, standing in front of his horse, the aptly named ‘lightning’.The horse was a gift from his father and the Prince is known to spend hours almost daily hunting with the prized steed. The Prince will no doubt have to begin to spend less time galavanting into the forest, and more time learning to be King now that he is 16. His age also brings the promise of a possible betrothal soon, the court is rife with gossip on which young lady the prince may be matched with. Surely it will be a Princess from a country the King hopes to align with?
All the royals are pictured in the royal red of the De Lune house.
The offical royal crest of the De Lune family has had an update! This crest was officiated today by his royal Highness King Avery De Lune.
The crest now symbolises the victories of the De Lunes of the past and perhaps is a view to what the King values as a ruler. The rampant lion which previously sat on the top of the crest has now been given pride of place at the centre. The lion was originally added to the De Lune family crest by King Avery’s Great Grandfather, Duke Avery of Windenburg (of whom he shares a name) who helped conquer back English lands from the vicious vikings.
He was regarded as a warrior and knight of the highest renowned and it’s rumoured that much of the population of the newly reconquered England wanted to crown him immediately. The De Lune family however didn't ascend to the thrown until King Avery’s Grandfather, King William the III (of whom the Crown Prince shares his name) used his cunning at appealing to popular political sentiments to aid him in disposing the unpopular King Fulke the VI. It is said King William was so clever he did this without spilling a drop of blood or without any war. It is likely him King Avery is honouring with the owls present in the crest. The Fleur De lis are of course, a reference to the French heritage of the De Lunes.
We believe our new King wants to show the realm and other kingdoms that he prizes courage, strength, wit and valour... and perhaps that he isn't afraid to show a force of strength or outwit his enemies, both in and out of battle.
