Getting back into the Magnus Chase books means that I get to remember the absolute beauty of Blitz and Hearth. Two lovely men who are rejected by their families for being different.

Blitzen is a brilliant artist who cannot survive in the sunlight, whereas Hearthstone is a talented rune mage who can’t survive in darkness. And yet, they are inseparable.

Hearth is known for not showing a significant amount of emotion, yet any time Blitz shows up after being separated from him, Hearth practically launches himself at the dwarf.

Blitz is unendingly protective over Hearth; always there to catch him when he feints, never missing a chance to defend the elf’s abilities.

They’re casually and non sexually intimate all the time. Whether they are queer platonic, romantic, or a secret third thing, they’re absolutely devoted to one another.

And I think that’s beautiful.

Magnus Chase and The Kane Chronicles were also screwed up

You know, I'm happy about the fact that many people can acknowledge and accept that Rick fucked up the Greek myths and his portrayal of the gods-

But I also feel like the same thing can be said for MCGA and TKC. They represent Norse and Egyptian mythology and I've seen some posts on how Rick effed up THERE-but only a few. Not many others. And yes, TKC is a beautiful series, but it also has some terrible problems.

It's on the tip of my tongue. It's just slipping out of my grasp. But someone needs to talk about Rick screwing up Norse and Egyptian mythology too.

Magnus and Thalia

Does anyone ever think about Thalia just going to Boston sometime, maybe after Annabeth is dead, or even when she's alive? And then she meets Magnus there, and she notices his last name, and she says that one of her friends has his last name-'Annabeth Chase'.

And Magnus is shocked because THAT'S HIS COUSIN! And Thalia is also shocked, so they talk about Annabeth together, and Magnus learns more about her, and Thalia learns something from Magnus too.

And maybe they have regular meetups, or maybe she just swings around to Boston to see if he's there, and they talk about Annabeth.

(And maybe they grieve together after Annabeth dies.)

I have! It’s also my favourite series in the PJOverse and my fav character is hearthstone because he has one of the most interesting backgrounds and a super cool design

My fav scene is when blitzen has to do a crafting challenge (i forgot what it was called) and made armor outfits idk why it was just so fun reading

Thinking about how the arrow and Dadona and Jack from MGGA would be such a power couple
