anyone have tips or advice for starting out with tiktok content creation? I think it would be fun and a nice little hobby, but I have no clue where to start. What kind of items would be good to start with, and how do I get the courage to start?
thanks in advance, lovelies ๐ฉท
๐ Hobbies ๐
I feel as tho I don't have much time to do things besides school, work, some chores, and survive right now, but I've been thinking about some hobbies I enjoy and would like to incorporate into my life when I decide to make the time without burning out!
Reading - I used to be big on reading just about any books I could get my hands on. Then I was really focused on reading self help, and now that I haven't been reading at all, I've been thinking about getting back into reading. Always looking for book recommendations, and I do have my eye on some books I'd like to purchase.
Gardening - if I had the time and space, I'd love to have a flower garden or a vegetable garden. It always makes me happy when the fruits of my efforts come to life, so tending to plants and gardening sounds super fun and relaxing.
Video Games - I used to play video games on and off, but I wouldn't mind owning a PS4 or a Switch and spending some time playing video games whenever I'd want time to wind down.
Cooking/Baking - I love learning things, and the sense of pride I've gotten in the past when receiving praise for things I've cooked or baked has really driven me to want to increase my skill. I've only baked something from scratch once in my life, but I'd really like to expand my skills in making desserts.
Exercise - I'm talking all forms of it! Dancing, martial arts/kickboxing type activities, yoga, pilates, running, swimming, spin/cycling, weight lifting (again), calisthenics, all of it! I don't currently look like the exercise type but I find various forms of movement to be so fun! If I had more time, I'd be trying new things all the time!
Volunteer work - This is something I used to do all the time, and it's a hobby that I enjoyed that kept me humble. Not only that, but I thoroughly enjoy showing kindness and compassion to others. Making a difference in anuwau brings me so much joy, and I love meeting new people and learning their stories. I also would love to volunteer with animals, because they deserve so much love and affection too!
Drawing/Art - I used to draw for fun but when I started college, I didn't have the time to devote to continuously increasing my art skills. I still own a sketch kit, coloring materials, and several sketchbooks so it really is a matter of having time.
Crochet - The thought of making things that I can gift to others seriously makes me so excited!! Crochet seems like such a fun, crafty, relaxing activity and the added fun of gifting those crafts to others would make it so fun!!
Scrapbooking - I don't know if I'd ever do this one, but I do Ike the idea of keeping my memories in a physical space, and not just in like pictures on my phone.
Learning - if school wasn't crazy busy, I'd spend all my time learning languages (ASL, Japanese, Spanish, Korean, Mandarin, Italian, etc), computer coding skills, how to make and do certain things, just anything I can do to keep my mind enriched.
Upcycling/Altering Clothes - I would love to upcycle or alter articles of clothes into more personalized pieces for myself. The thought of having a personalized, hand made closet full of clothes makes me really want to buy a sewing machine and learn how to use it to my advantage!
That's all I can think of for now that I'd like to someday incorporate into my life. Having hobbies is always so fun, but I've been so busy and tired that I don't mess with any of the hobbies I'd want to do. If anyone has any tips for time management, or resources for beginning new hobbies, please let me know!!

So far I'm on the right track! I'm not sure if listing out actual goals is going to be the most beneficial as I don't want to shame myself into feeling guilty for not completing them, but maybe I'll have one goal per area and then update on everything I've completed within that area? I feel like that'd be a good idea!

So I am trying to decide if I should start incorporating fitness classes into my routine and I'm having some trouble making a couple of decisions! So I thought I'd turn to my beautiful community and get some help!
My options are:
start yoga at home and pilates at a studio
start pilates at home and join a yoga studio
do only pilates at a studio
do only yoga at a studio
join both a yoga studio and pilates studio
there's not a lot of places that offer both pilates and yoga in my town but I really want to diversify some of my workouts so I don't get bored and can meet all of my fitness goals too!
Let me know what you guys suggest and if you can, leave some comments with your experience with pilates or yoga studios! Please keep in mind I am a plus sized girly, so I'm a little anxious about group fitness but I think it'd be super beneficial!
October Language Goals ๐
I was thinking of posting a more structured study schedule for studying Japanese, but right now, I don't think that's a good idea because I'm not actually following a strict study routine or schedule. My available time to study varies so much on the day to day so having flexibility in how I study is definitely going to be and has been helpful.
These goals do help give me some useful guidance in how I use my study time, especially when I have a longer amount of time to study.
I am going to add an updated list of resources at the end of this post as I have found a good set of resources that are/will be helping me along this language journey.
complete Genki I lesson 1 + lesson 2
build a flashcard list of 50-75 vocab in AnkiApp (currently 32/75)
learn 10-15 most common phrases/greetings
make a list of common things I say and find their Japanese equivalent
keep a 30+ day streak in Duolingo
keep a 30+ day streak in Busuu
post a speaking exercise per "chapter" in Busuu
test out WaniKani and see if I would like to utilize it as a resource
buy 2 to 5 manga in japanese (for future learning)
finish season 4 of Bungou Stray Dogs (for fun)
begin using AnkiDroid Genki I flashcard set in correspondence with the textbook lessons
start a beginner langblr challenge (either my own or find one to join in on)
I think this is a very doable list of goals given how busy my months and weeks have been. I will have a decent amount of free time, especially if I schedule all of my stuff efficiently. Now, on to a list of current resources!
Duolingo - I know she gets hated on but I love duolingo right now just for some daily practice on days where I have low energy or less time for studying. I turned off the romanji so I'm forcing myself to get more familiar either hiragana and katakana and I just find this app useful for vocab and silly daily practice.
Busuu - ohh, she has my heart right now. I actually bought premium for busuu for one year to give me time to actually use the app and get the most out of it. The audio is a little robotic sounding, but the exercises are helpful. They have speaking exercises that you can post to the community page and get native speakers to correct you! I honestly just love this app, and it also has a streak feature like Duolingo to keep me motivated to do some daily practice.
Renshuu - I still love renshuu as a resource because itโs the only reason I re learned the hiragana and katakana so fast, although I have not being using it as often lately. I still highly recommend the app! I want to keep using it and see how helpful it continues to be!
Language Drops - I like using this one to practice and learn some vocab every now and then. The free version only really lets you do five minutes a day but for a quick vocabulary review, thatโs all I really need!
Genki I + II Textbooks and Workbooks - I've looked through the first lesson in Genki I and I honestly am so excited to use it once I have the time to sit down and study from it. My plan is to take notes from the textbook in my own notebooks, practice the exercises in the textbook and workbook, listen to the dialogue, and lots of flashcards!
Writing workbooks - I want to start using the two I have because I think it'll help me retain my knowledge of hiragana and katakana and even Kanji, once I get to the point where I'm learning Kanji.
Ankidroid/AnkiApp - These are two different apps, but they are both for flashcards. Their functionality is a bit different from each other, but they're still incredibly useful! I make my own flashcards in AnkiApp, but I use decks made by others in Ankidroid. This way I can keep studying what I already know but also can learn other things, if that makes sense? I'm using the Genki I deck on Ankidroid currently as I am preparing to use the Genki I textbook.
Google Keep Notes - I use keep notes to keep a record of my goals, resources, routines, etc. itโs so easy and simple to use and access, so I thought Iโd mention it here
YouTube - I love watching YouTube videos about learning languages, thought Iโm not advanced enough to start watching native Japanese content. Some YouTubers I like for their language tips are Tanya Benavente, Lidie Botes, and Zoe.languages. Thereโs a couple random videos about languages from, oh no Nina and The Bliss Bean, too.
that is all my goals and main current resources for the month of October. Iโm thinking of starting like a language bullet journal, like a bullet journal/language tracking journal for Japanese? But I donโt know if I should? Maybe you guys can vote and give me some motivation to make a decision?
thank you guys! I did manage to complete most of my September goals, so that is definitely keeping me motivated right now! I havenโt had the most energetic of days but I think even a little bit of studying can be beneficial!

Daily Check In - September 28th, 2023 ๐
did not do much today by my standards but Iโm still recovering from this cold plus my allergies are acting up so Iโve been in bed a lot of today. I did accomplish some things tho so it was not a fully unproductive day for me!
๐ฉท What I Ate Today -
Breakfast - boiled chicken potstickers, hash browns with ketchup, and a coffee
Lunch - bowl of spaghetti with two pieces of buttered bread
Dinner - two slices of dominoes handmade pan pepperoni pizza and three slices of cheese bread
Extra - three more cups of coffee and not near enough water, half a green smoothie made with frozen fruits, spinach, and almond milk
I have not been eating the best recently and I know that, but I think thatโs due to my hormones being messed up at the moment, my current sickness, my extreme fatigue and exhaustion, and a lack of physical activity in my life. However, I decided Iโm going to try to go to the gym and get on the treadmill (maybe do some strength training if Iโm feeling confident enough) at my university activity center at least three days a week so that way I can start getting some of my energy back and gain some more discipline and control in my life. Iโm hoping I get to the point where I can be a runner again, I miss my 8 minute mile time, my running playlist, and how free I felt when Iโd go running. So thatโs a new goal of mine as well! My boyfriend even said we can go jogging together when I see him next weekend, so Iโm looking forward to that for sure!
๐ฉท Personal Accomplishments -
Did the dishes
Brought my laundry from the dryer to my room (have yet to put away clean clothes)
Night time skincare
Studied Duolingo/Busuu for ~20 minutes
Skimmed through first Genki lesson in preparation for actually studying from the textbook
Showered and washed my hair
made a tentative workout schedule in google calendar for next week
๐ฉท Academic Accomplishments -
completed and submitted extended assignment for psychology class
completed and submitted lab report for anatomy lab
began paper set up for first section of research study paper for psychology class
again, not a super productive day but Iโm still happy with it. I got a decent amount of stuff done and I have some stuff I want to accomplish tomorrow, which I will list below.
๐ฉท Academic Goals for Tomorrow, Sept 29th -
Complete a rough draft of first section of research study paper before 10am psychology lab
Begin taking notes for module six for my health for sport and fitness class
Complete practical assignment for health for sport and fitness class
~20 minutes japanese study using apps
๐ฉท Personal Goals for Tomorrow, Sept 29th -
Morning and Night skincare
morning and night guided journal
work on content for RD mentor instagram
Go to bed by 10pm (be asleep by that time!!!)
Drink at least one liter of water
Only two cups of caffeine
Donโt buy anything from the university food court!
wake up early <3
not the most specific personal goals but still things that I know I can achieve! Iโm super tired and itโs not even that late and I havenโt done much this week. Thatโs how I know I made the right decision to take time for myself. always have your own best interest at heart, in a positive and healthy way! Donโt push past your limits and donโt let yourself burn out! Itโs easier said than done but taking care of yourself is so important! Thatโs something I need to continually remind myself!

Check In - September 25th & 26th, 2023 ๐
these last two days have not been at all like I wouldโve liked them to be. I started getting sick on Monday night and now thatโs exactly what happened, I am sick and very unhappy about it. Luckily I think itโs just a cold this time but I always dislike getting sick. Iโm not going to inicie a What I Ate in this check in because I genuinely donโt remember at the moment what I ate on Monday and Tuesday. this will just be a what Iโve accomplished post.
๐ฉท Personal Accomplishments -
went to bed at a decent time
Left work early to take care of myself
Morning skincare
Japanese Duolingo/Busuu for 15 minutes
๐ฉท Academic Accomplishments -
Completed module 5 notes for health and sport class
Completed module 5 quiz for health and sport class
Completed stocks assignment for personal finance class
Started notes for chapter 6 for my psyc class
I mentioned that I went home early from work on Monday and that was due to having a full blown panic attack in the work office in front of my supervisor. I think I had been stressed about school stuff and when I felt myself getting sick I just panicked and ended up with a near debilitating attack. Iโm so grateful for my supervisor, she talked me down from the panic attack and then let me go home because she saw how it was affecting me. I love my work family.
๐ฉท Personal Accomplishments -
Took time off school due to being ill + last nights panic attack
Showered + night skincare
Made myself dinner
Relaxed and overall had a good day
Japanese Duolingo p/Busuu 15 minutes
๐ฉทAcademic Achievements-
Completed my mid term presentation and turned it in before the due date
Reached out to my Psyc Professor about an extension for a Psyc assignment
did not do much on Tuesday due to low energy and just wanting and needing to take care of myself a little bit. Iโm still sick as of right now and still planning on taking it easy to help both mind and body recover,
this was not the update I had hoped on giving but I still wanted to keep you all in the loop as to whatโs going on with me. I appreciate all the kind words Iโve received from you guys. Your encouragement and kindness is one of the reasons I keep up with this blog and have the motivation to be open and honest.

Daily Check In September 15th and 16th, 2023 ๐
I was a bit stressed on Friday. And really tired. Like crying on the phone talking to my dad about how tired I was. I did not want to go to work, but I did and had a goodnight regardless. Everything worked itself out and I stopped stressing so hard. I was gonna rest before I had to go to work but my friend decided to talk my ear off for an hour about her family woes, even after I told her I wanted to rest my brain for a bit. I love helping my friends when I can but sometimes I just need a break from socializing.
thereโs not much to update on but Iโll give an update regardless!
๐ฉท What I Ate Sept 15th -
Breakfast - bagel sandwich and a coffee
Lunch - bagel w whipped cream cheese and another coffee
Dinner - Alfredo pasta w spinach and chicken and a small salad w egg, cheese, and a little ranch dressing
Extra - morning coffee at home and not near enough water. Also some mini mint chocolate candies, like three
I was really feeling bagels. They were so good.
๐ฉท What I Ate Sept 16th -
Breakfast - Scrambled eggs on brioche style bread with slices of cheddar cheese
Dinner - Two bowls of spaghetti with marinara sauce and grated Parmesan cheese
Snack - macaroni cup, three cups of coffee
I just realized I didnโt take a break to eat lunch at work today. That is the first time Iโve ever forgotten to do that.
๐ฉท What I Accomplished Sept 15th & 16th -
Worked a total of 13.5 hours at my job
A lot of self compassion and rest
Morning skincare and night skincare routine (sept 16th)
Studied Japanese 10+ minutes each day
Reorganized my desk with my new desk supplies
I received some new acrylic desk organizers, stationery, and Japanese study books today! I bought two writing workbooks and I bought the Genki I and Genki II textbook + workbook + answer key bundle off of Amazon and I am so excited to start using them all soon! In my Japanese studying so far, Iโve memorized almost the entire hiragana chart and started keeping a physical list/anki flashcard set of hiragana vocabulary off of Duolingo and have been practicing my writing on Renshuu. Renshuu is surprisingly such a great tool for me right now, like itโs the complete reason I memorized the hiragana so fast. My plan is to start using Genki I right after I memorize (most of) the katakana. Iโve been listening to Japanese music a lot and talking out loud to myself on occasion. Iโm just super excited about this language.
I think Iโm quickly approaching the edge of burnout right now and Iโm desperately trying to find a way to delay the burnout or stop myself from burning out altogether because I have too much on my plate to just lose myself now. Like Iโm genuinely enjoying everything I do in a day but itโs tiring me out. I donโt sleep very well right now, Iโm not working out, my nutrition isnโt the best, I over-consume caffeine and Iโve been neglecting my self care. I am working to regain balance because I donโt want to tire myself while trying to build the best life for myself. Todays first step was keeping my promise to do skincare and study Japanese. Tomorrow will be skincare, weekly planning, and completing my due assignments and notes. If I can rebuild trust with myself, I have a good feeling I can get back on track with my daily ideal routines. Just need to take it one step at a time.
I know my blog appears that everything is so great and girly and perfect for me but my life is not like that entirely. I do romanticize my life in the way I live it, I am the main character if my own story, but life is life and stuff happens. I donโt have the perfect body or health, I donโt have the best discipline or motivation sometimes, and yeah, my life isnโt perfect. However, I am still so grateful for the life I am currently living, a life that I never thought Iโd be so content with. This blog has helped me determine the direction to go in and keeps me motivated often, and I am so at peace and proud of all that Iโve built and have had help creating for myself. Thank you to everyone who reads this. It is the little interactions, the daily notifications, the pride I get from my consistent updates that keeps me level. This is therapeutic for me in a way. Like an online diary. And I absolutely love the space itโs given me to be my true self, my most comfortable self. I am not perfect but i am happy. Happy with my progress and my journey and my community.
Sorry for the little joyful ramble. Again, I appreciate this community so much. I wouldnโt have driven my life in this path without this community.
๐ฉท Song of The Day - The Greatest by Sia
One of my all time favorite motivational songs. Just listen to the lyrics. Absolutely simple and amazingly powerful.
thatโs all for these last two days! Will be getting more detailed in my daily accomplishments, and am working on a stationary review though I did order more so I might way until it gets here to complete the review post!
Til next time, lovelies ๐ฉท๐ค
Daily Check-in September 11th and 12th, 2023 ๐
Did not have the time to make one yesterday as I didn't get home til almost 11 pm and was so tired that i immediately passed out. I had a really good day today(Tuesday), tho! I ordered a bunch of stationery off of Stationery Pal and Kawaii pen shop, and ahhhh, I love all of it, and they BOTH came in less than a week after I placed my order. The quality of everything is *chefs kiss* and I am so excited to start using all this stuff in my university academics as well as my self study goals! I might even switch back to paper notes because of all the stuff I bought, who knows.
Will not include What I Ate as I honestly don't remember, I am very tired at the moment(Tuesday night), having run most of today with 3 hours of sleep. This check in is going to be a bit more on the self care self compassion side as I had a rough two days honestly.
๐ฉท Personal Achievements -
Washed my hair
Made it to both classes on time
Organized my new stationery in my desk
Cooked steak *actually* good in my food fundamentals class
๐ฉท Academic Achievements -
Completed a PSYC writing assignment
Completed NUTR assignment
Completed pre lab quiz for my Anatomy Lab
Completed Osmosis lab report
Earned my Human Subjects Research Training certificate for my PSYC class
(Iโm certified to use human subjects in research studies at my university for the next 3 years now, how cool!?)
Should I make a post about the stationery I got? Like a haul/review post? Let me know what you think! Itโs all pretty aesthetic so I would love to share my opinions on the quality of the stuff I boughtโฆ.and I bought a lot of stuff without realizing it!
๐ฉท As of today, Wednesday September 13th, hereโs a little academic todo list for today:
Weekly Writing for my Food Fundamentals class
Take my Exam 1 for my NUTR class
Read Chapter 11 for my Personal Finance class + take notes on IPad
Complete my Nutrition Log for my Fitness for Health and Sport class

Take my bedroom trash out, throw out package box
Clean bathroom completely
Sweep bedroom
Organize desk more efficiently
Wash my current dirty laundry
Put away previous clean laundry

Throw out old carpets and replace with new ones
Follow my skincare routine (my face is begging to be taken care of again)
Possibly hang up my string lights with clips behind my desk and attach BTS photos to clips ๐
Budget for paycheck tomorrow
This check in was definitely a little different than the others, especially cause I started it last night but had to save it as a draft cause I nearly fell asleep while typing it up. I will definitely post an update tonight to see how much of my to do lists I accomplished! Looking forward to having today to myself, as I didnโt go to class due to the extreme rain weโre having (I walk to my campus as I do not driveโฆat all) and Iโm completely home alone today! Let the productivity begin!

Daily Check-in - August 13th, 2023 ๐
I forgot to post my check in last night, but here it is! There may or may not be an update for August 14th later tonight, I'm not sure yet. I will be posting an updated goals/habits list today, and an updated workout split layer this week.
Work has been a bit tiring but I am so happy to be back at my original job with my people. I really enjoy the atmosphere where I work. However, I did get a migraine in the morning at work, so that was not fun. I've been keeping up with my routines a bit so I am proud of myself for that!
๐ฉท What I Ate Today -
Breakfast - Two slices of thick brioche style white bread with slices of cheddar cheese and scrambled eggs.
Dinner - Homemade cheeseburge with two slices of bacon, lettuce, and ketchup, and a side of steak fries.
Snacks - Two cups of coffee with one sweet n low each and French vanilla creamer, one quesadilla
Sometimes, I feel like I've overeaten in a day, but after I type it out, it doesn't look like I've eaten as much as I used to? Being super busy at work also helps with that since I don't get hungry when working and I'm unable to snack mindlessly at work.
๐ฉท Workout - Stretching
I wanted to take it easy aince I have been tired from work, so I chose to do this video, and I really liked it! I had to modify some of the movements as I am incredibly stiff and inflexible, but it felt very nice on the body regardless.
๐ฉท Habits I Accomplished Today -
Made my bed
Morning and Night Skincare
Morning Guided Journal
Read 1 Chapter of a Book
Morning Workout
Stretched
I feel like I've got my.morning routine pretty figured out now, as in what things I want to include and things I still feel like I should be including. I'd still call this a step in the right direction!
๐ฉท Song of the Day: New Jeans by NewJeans
This song is a bit short but super catchy and makes me feel like I can strut myself on a hot girl walk. I really like how just feminine and hot this song makes me feel. I wouldn't call myself a NewJeans stan but they have an amazing discography and 90% of their songs are a hit for me.
๐ฉท Current Read - Attached by Amir Levine and Rachel S. F. Heller
Took the attachment style quiz on myself and it is exactly what I thought! I have an anxious attachment style that does lean secure at times given the current situations in my relationship. Also pretty sure I have an avoidant attachment style when it comes to friendships as I have trouble maintaining friendships in general but don't necessarily see that as some grand issue.
That's all for the day!
Til tomorrow, lovelies! ๐ฉท
Daily Check-in - August 7th, 2023 ๐
So, it's been an emotional last two weeks. Mental illness is never a fun thing. I slipped off from taking my meds and as a result became inconsistent with my goals and daily routines. I felt powerless to myself. I stayed in bed as much as possible, cried constantly, and had no energy for even the simplest of tasks.
But, I'm feeling better, and I even accomplished some of my goals/daily habits today! I managed to begin taking my meds again, and am still in contact with my therapist. I'm bound to have rough days, rough weeks, and even rough months. I just remind myself that it's okay to feel these rough moments for what they are, but to not let it make me spiral or keep me held down. I believe in my ability to care for myself, and listen to my current needs when I am in a depressive state as I have been. There's nothing wrong with low energy days. There's nothing wrong with needing a break. There's nothing wrong with taking care of yourself. ๐ฉท
๐ฉท What I Ate Today:
Breakfast - Was not feeling it today but needed to eat for my medication, so I had three hashbrown patties with some ketchup. And, of course, a cup of coffee.
Lunch - A delicious turkey and cheddar lunchable with one serving of lightly salted cashews. The lighter the lunch, the less tired I am when I get off my lunch break.
Dinner - I ordered some domino's pizza and cheesy bread because I was craving it, only ate 2 slices of both but it was sooo good and now I have leftovers!
Snacks - One cup of coffee after I got off work and a few bites of Ben and Jerry's Half Baked ice cream, which is currently my favorite ice cream.
Water ~ not enough, I made the mistake of forgetting a reusable water bottle when I went to work, so I didn't really start drinking water until like, 10am.
It's not my cleanest, healthiest, or best eating day, but I'm happy that I listened to what I wanted. Not every day will be like this, and that's okay. Moderation and balance are key <3
๐ฉท Workouts - Pilate Abs
Again, I love this one to start of my ab day! arts easy enough for my little plus sized self to accomplish and makes me feel proud for even attempting thus video and completing a workout!
I also love this one by Madeleine as well, her workout videos honestly just click with me and I am here for it! This one wasn't completed fully as I have a bit of trouble completing plank exercises, but as I continue to build strength and better my form, I know I'll get to a point where they will become easier
๐ฉท Habits I Accomplished Today -
Made my bed
Morning workout
Morning and Night Skincare
Morning guided journal
For my first day back on routine I'd say this is a win! Being able to complete any of my goals and habits for the day is definitely a good thing, and I'm proud of myself for accomplishing what I have today.
๐ฉท Song of the Day: Cake - ITZY
SHAKE IT SHAKE SHAKE IT SHAKE BUSS IT UP BUSS IT UP
My girl Yuna did so good in this song, and all of their outfits are cute and the energy is there and they all look so happy and this song makes me want to get up and dance. I may or may not be trying to learn Yuna's lil dance part....it's so satisfying to watch!!
That's all for today! Pretty proud of the way things have gone, and hopeful that tomorrow will also be a nice day for me. It feels good to be posting again!! I missed this <3
Til tomorrow, lovelies!!
I love this!!! It's such a cute guide to wonyoungism, and it's super helpful for people starting out with this kind of aesthetic lifestyle !!

wonyoungism is inspired by jang wonyoung and mixes a coquette, cute, pink pilates princess style with self improvement to help us become the best and healthiest versions of ourselves!
ways to express wonyoungism
have a morning routine
a morning routine helps set the tone for the rest of your day. while you can include whatever you want, typical wonyoungism morning routines include waking up early, stretching, skincare, drinking tea or lemon water, and doing your makeup and hair. do what works for you and makes you feel the best!
take care of your skin
research your skin type and find what products and routines will work best for you. no need for fancy or expensive products! in my experience, minimalism works best for my skin. a good cleanser and moisturizer are key, but you can also include things like toner, exfoliating scrubs, night cream, eye cream, and serums if you need or want them. wonyoung is an ambassador for innisfree skincare products, like these:
have a nutritious, balanced diet
having a nutritious diet keeps you healthy and energized, helps your skin and hair, makes you feel good, and has so many other benefits! focus on getting your daily servings of fruit and veggies and getting your protein and other nutrients and vitamins in, but donโt restrict yourself to the point of bad mental health. hereโs a good chart to start with!
find a daily exercise regimen
most workouts youโll find with wonyoungism are pilates, walking, and yoga (which i highly recommend!) but find a workout plan that YOU like! there are so many different types of workouts out there, and you shouldnโt force yourself to do something you hate. try out different things and figure out what works best for you. if you do want to practice pilates and yoga, here are some good channels on youtube:
move with nicole
dansique fitness
yoga with kassandra
eleni fit
sanne vloet
bailey brown
implement productive habits into your day
instead of mindlessly scrolling in your free time, try to implement productive and healthy activities. these things can include:
working out or stretching
drawing or painting
researching something that interests you
learn a new skill or a new language
read
write short stories
make a new playlist
go outside/go for a walk/spend time in nature
journal
make a vision board
be kind to yourself
sounds self explanatory, but it can be so much harder than it sounds for some of us. it may take some time, but realize that you are only human and you are doing the best you can. itโs okay to not feel as healthy or happy as you think you should, but you are absolutely valid and it is okay to be gentle with yourself. you are the only you there will ever be, embrace being you!
have an evening routine
evening/night routines are important because it closes out your day and gets you ready for a good nights sleep. itโs so helpful to have an evening routine that helps you wind down and get relaxed mentally and physically. this can include whatever makes you feel calm and happy, but it can also include things like stretching, lighting a candle, skincare, reading, meditation, and drinking a warm drink like tea!
