The Bataan Loss of life March was a compelled march of American and Filipino prisoners of conflict by the Imperial Japanese Military throughout World Warfare II. The march passed off on the Bataan Peninsula on the island of Luzon within the Philippines. The prisoners have been compelled to march roughly 60 miles (97 km) from Mariveles to San Fernando, Pampanga. Throughout the march, the prisoners have been subjected to beatings, torture, hunger, and execution. Hundreds of prisoners died through the march, and those that survived have been usually left with everlasting bodily and psychological harm.
