Rewatching season 2 and this was all I could think of š
I would be too powerful if I knew how to edit I have so many ideas but I don't know how to edit
Guys. Guys hear me out. Feed me but with Hannibal and Will, Hannibals Audrey II and Will's seymour and it's like him convincing Will to give into the darkness and AUUGGGHH!!!! Guys pls see my vision
I HAVE SOOOOO SO MANY STROOOOONG RESERVATIONSSSS SHOULD I GOOOOOO AND PERFOOOOOORM MUTILATIONS?!??!
REALLLL I'm sorry idk how to explain how much easier it is for me to get emotionally invested in horror media, I tend to find them a lot more emotional than if I were to watch sad films idk how to explain it. Like its so.. raw? And the creativity put into horror stories too, I adore practical effects and such and they're commonly used in horror so like!! Please they're just so investing
Iām sick of being looked down on by non horror fans. Like I get it if itās just not your genre but Iāve stopped telling people my favourite show is Hannibal because when I do, at least 1/3 times I get the dreaded āokayā¦ā and a look like I said I enjoy ketchup on my ice cream.
Like, just because itās not your thing doesnāt mean you get to act like Iām weird for liking A VERY COMMON GENRE OF MEDIA.
Guys look at my Hannibal phone theme
reposting hoping more ppl see this bc I like it GUAGGHHHH
"Hannibal wanted to eat Will's brain to forgive him", "Hannibal wanted to eat Will's brain for power", "It was out of love"
Okay, but.. can we talk about the implications of doing such a thing? And I'm not referring to the finality of the decision; the death it would causeāI mean the risks for Hannibal. I don't mean the effects that the loss of Will may have on him, but the physical risks of consuming the human brain. While no, it's not guaranteed that anything would happen, it does make me wonder.. would Hannibal have been okay with it if anything had happened to him? If he were to become ill because of Will's brain, would he accept that? There's at least some acceptance in the risk given Hannibal was a surgeon and is likely aware of such a thing, some willingness to go through with it without care in the aftermathāWill's brain overriding any possible concern.. But what if that was the endgoal in the first placeāto go with him, from the same thing. To kill Will, and then follow after. Kind of like some twisted final declaration of love, endless devotion. I feel similarly to the final episode when Will throws them both over the edge.
"Can't live with him, can't live without him"
This is real PLEEEASEEE
i am begging screaming crawling on the floor in agony trying to manifest my moots to talk to me and we can be the bestest internet friends

Hannibal S2 and S3 behind the scenes
how do people make/find friends and moots in the hannibal fandom š I'm so bad at socializing but I want more people to yap with..
oo you wanna message me so bad oo
Idk if it's worth mentioning or not but I follow back usually!!
no thoughts behind my eyes just moments in s1 where Will let's himself get close to Hannibal on his own but immediately backs off the moment Hannibal looks at him
kinda random rambling
I like that he didn't immediately back off after Hannibal offered another theory, instead backing off after looking at him. It's like he saw understanding in that moment and got confirmation of it by looking at him, like they saw eachother for a moment; you kinda think like me.
There's this want to find yourself in another person, wanting understanding/someone to relate toābut it's also scary seeing that part of yourself in another person when it already scares you just seeing it in yourself. For the same reason you don't want people getting too close to you, you now don't wanna get too close to them.
They say that eyes are gateways into the soul, that looking into the eyes of another will let you see what they're really thinking. By actually making that eye contact, it's like you're offering them inside your head. Throughout the show "getting too close" referred to losing himself in someone else's head, being stuck seeing through their eyesāif looking into another person's eyes meant getting in their head and them getting in yours and you both shared similar thoughts, would you ever be able to know for certain that you got out?
I'm so bad at explaining my thoughts it makes more sense in my head so I hope it's at least. Slightly understandable
Also this scene in fromage where Will attempts to check Hannibal's injuries but immediately looks away upon Hannibal looking back at him. I like that he doesn't look directly at him whilst expressing his guilt, saying he feels as if he's dragged Hannibal into his world, almost like he doesn't want him to see any moreāhe's already been far enough in. He doesn't want him to get too close.
I'm probably looking too into it but . we love overanalyzing
Will "I hate eye contact" graham staring into Hannibals soul
Yeah tbh I get it.. maybe even pancake
I need to bump into him when he's carrying a bunch of plant pots and watch him clumsily pick up all the pieces while complaining about how clumsy he is (lovingly)
pretty sure that's how it went
those were the lyrics right
it's true I was the hacksaw
Adam Radford-Faulkner-Stanheight-Gordon would have this as his pfp on MySpace and unironically think it's the coolest shit ever (it is)
want tbh
bring back tumblr ask culture let me. bother you with questions and statements
I'm so glad that saw 4 was the last movie and nothing ever happened (ššš
11 - Justice: Peter Strahm
The Justice card indicates that the situation is likely to resolve in a balanced way, whether in your favor or in the fairest manner possible. Its meaning is tied to fair and thoughtful decisions. As an FBI agent, Peter Strahm exemplifies this principle, though he constantly faces the temptation to act in ways contrary to it.
also guys do any dbd fans exist here... I want more people to play the game with so bad š I hate dbd (lovingly) OH and the texas chainsaw massacre game
For oc posting I'm gonna use the tag bloodbag blog because I think it sounds like a silly little name for their duo ^_^ I think I'm gonna name the blogger guy finn/finnley, but I'm still unsure on names for the other.. if anyone has any like. Vampire-y sounding names pls tell me I'm so bad with naming characters
rewatching the show and catching a lot more subtle parallels between character movements and then starting to feel like the entire show itself was also just another recreation like the crimescenes
it is SO true that after every hannibal rewatch, you notice new little things or details you've never noticed before. may it be from the character's subtle expressions, a phrase they said that on your first watch seemed mundane, you suddenly make new connections and then it makes complete sense. this is why a hannibal rewatch never gets tiring or boring.
i love this silly murderous gay cannibal show.
HE'S ALIVE I scream as they drag me away to a padded cell
I love the usage of birds in alfred hitchcocks psycho so much, although I'm not 100% on the intended meanings I wanted to talk about my own interpretations.
Phoenix:
Phoenixs tend to depict things revolving the theme of life after death. The movie taking place in Phoenix at the beginning feels like it represents the start of Marion's new life; foreshadowing her journey to fairvale in attempt of having a life with Sam, paying off the debts and marrying him.
It could also relate to how Marion will continue to affect the story past her death (eg. Lila and marys actions in psycho 2)
Life after death/resurrection could also attribute to Norman's mother.
Crane:
Cranes are used to represent wealth and fortune, which fits how Marion stole the 40,000.
I also like that although Marion used a fake name while checking into the Bates motel, after having that conversation with Norman she has a change of heart and wants to return to Phoenix and fix her actions. In that same conversation Norman talks about his hobby as a taxidermist, stuffing birds. She then goes on to give him her real name, Crane , like the bird; referencing her upcoming death.
Taxidermy:
Norman's hobby of stuffing birds may be utilized to make him come across as eerie or creepy, but a lot of his wording interests me.
When he tells Marion that she eats like a bird (associating her with birds, I also agree with the theories that the birds represent women) he moves on to mention how he doesn't actually know much about birds. But ironically, refers to them as passive and also associates his mother with themāclaims she's no more of a threat than those stuffed birds.. but the birds on display aren't exactly peaceful and unthreatening. The owl by where Norman sat is a predatory animal, a hunter. And the crow across from him represents death. Neither of the birds on display are not dangerous.
(Also noting that the crow is by Marion, foreshadowing her upcoming death maybe) His failure to recognize and understand these birds could reference his state of denial when it comes to how his mother treated him growing up. (And also his strict relationship with her where he was to not be with other girls, almost being like a cageāa bird cage)
Another thing, in stuffing birds (also in making the connection of his mother to them), could be referencing how he tried to preserve her body as best he could for the longest time.
Idk these are just some of my thoughts, maybe I'm reaching or maybe others find these things obvious. Either way I think it's interesting, sorry if my wording was bad š
also I love letterboxd so much I love yapping about movies.. I need more horror movie recs and ppl to talk to about them I'm not normal about movies and shows I like, I need to dissect them
I love having ocs so much but at the same time I hate it because being hyperfixated on your own ocs sucks there's no fandom it's just you like what am I supposed to do with the silly guys in my brain I need them OUT
