Ok so

so i had an idea for an AO3 fic. Modern superhero/villan/superpowers AU where Owen, Krow, and Apo are roommates. Owen has the power of metal manipulation, Apo can control plants, and Krow has two powers; one being the ability to control and travel through shadows and be able to hide its demon features [horns, claws, tail] which most people assume the opposite of; that it’s second power is to turn into a demon. Apo is a vigilante, Owen is a hero, and Krow is kind of a morally grey character; it helps people in need but also does small crimes like theft and arson on abandoned buildings; the hero organization classifies it as a vigilante tho. they all try (and fail) to hide their identities from each other, so it’s very comical how sus one of them can act and the other two are way too tired to notice. more later, is getting late. byeeee o/

More Gri headcanons bc Chaotic Bird Boyo makes my brain go brrrr

Grian has no sense of personal space at times. The other hermits have come to expect that. (If you tell him no, he will leave you be. He's cuddly, but he respects boundaries.)

Doc usually gives him a gentle reminder, but will occasionally allow Grian one (1) cuddle because he's just not touchy feely. (He displays affection in other ways though haha) Cub and Wels both just let him, because they fear it may get worse if they ask him to stop hanging on them. (Which isnt true at all, but Cub doesn't know how to say it and Wels is just too polite to.) Etho also isnt crazy about it, and politely tells Grian that he doesn't like being touched. Grian settles for chatting, and Etho's fine with the builder rambling while he does redstone and the like.

Team ZIT have varied reactions, but are generally okay with Grian in thier space. As are the hermitgals, Joe, Jevin, Keralis, and XB.

BDubs, Beef, Scar, and Iskall just roll with it, as long as Grian isnt being a nuisance while clinging to them.

Ren and Mumbo both encourage it and are consequently his favorite people to ambush with affection. (Mumbo rather reluctantly at first. Ren was always fine with it, being quite cuddly himself.) Grian will randomly drop in their laps, hug them, and hold their hands, and Mumbo and Ren just sorta vibe with it, unless they're really busy. Then they distract him with other things, or sometimes send him off to another person. (Though it really breaks Ren's heart to see him so upset. He makes it up to Grian with more casual affection later. This leads people to the inaccurate conclusion they're dating. Ren actually has the hots for someone else ((its Etho, but Ren doesnt know how to deal with that so he's brainstorming.)) )

The one instance it happened with Xusima, He bluescreened for a moment, then sorta went 'yeah okay, this isn't the weirdest thing on a server of overachievers, redstone brainiacs, and builders who know no limits. I'll let this dork cuddle me' and then committed to just being stuck with Gri for a few hours. Then it just started happening more regularly, and Xu is now totally unbothered by his odd bird child being casually all over him, or just being pretty close by when building inspiration hasn't struck.

Suffice to say, no one is surprised when Dadmin gets a crush. (To Xu's credit, he's pretty good at hiding it, and only a cleverly planned bet from Doc gets him to spill. Doc doesn't say a word, but he makes no promises that the others at the gambling table will stay silent.)
