DinCobb Week FAQ

What is DinCobb Week?

DinCobb Week is a fandom event for the pairing of Din Djarin and Cobb Vanth from The Mandalorian. Like many other pairing weeks, it will be a 7-day long event in which a prompt is given each day. We will then accept fan art and fanfic that captures your interpretation of that theme. We will also accept gifsets and playlists. The week will run from Sunday, September 19th - Saturday, September 25th.

How do I participate?

Post your own art, fic, gifset or playlist to your tumblr blog and use #DinCobbWeek2021. We will then reblog here. You can also @ us in your post to be sure we can find it. (This may be required for NSFW posts, as other events have had issues). We will attempt to reblog as much content as we can throughout the week.

We will also have an AO3 collection!

Is NSFW content allowed?

Yes! We will post both a gen (sfw) list and a NSFW list for participants to choose from. You can do all gen, all NSFW, or a mix of both. However, please have explicit NSFW beneath a cut and have it clear somewhere that your post is NSFW so mods can have it properly tagged.

Are there limits?

We will not have a minimum or maximum word limit. As these might be written each day of the event, don’t stress over word count! We’re happy to take what you have, as short or as long as it is. We currently do not have restrictions on content but will evaluate after submissions close.

Please feel free to send us asks or tumblr submissions! We also have a discord where we have a channel specifically for this event. We’re more than happy to answer your questions or work out an issue if we haven’t thought of it!

Headcanons???? 

- Jacobb Vanth (Cobb to friends) is Agent Vodka  𝖲̶𝗉̶𝗈̶𝗍̶𝖼̶𝗁̶𝗄̶𝖺̶ ̶

-He is 45 years old, mainly forced by his father to join the army since he was quite young. His mother was killed in an assault when he he was a child. His father was the owner of a fairly famous chain of bars in the southern US called Mos Pelgo.

-He was pretty good as well as having pretty high grades. Seeing his potential he was recruited Statesman when he was twenty-three.He is an extremely loyal with a good heart, something that almost did not finish the last test.

-After passing all the tests and training he joined the team as "Agent Vodka"

-He has a good relationship with agent Whiskey, he may have a little (big) crush for him. Everyone knows it except Whiskey who is quite fond of him and likes to think that he belongs to "brothers" (Spoiler: no, he is in love with Vodka)

-He knows how to play the guitar, it's his hobby.

-He has a classic Harley Davidson 70′s (obviously modded by Statesman) which he loves

-He has a great knack for firearms.

-He frequently wears a red scarf, it was his mother's.

Finn and the Villager (The Force Awakens deleted scene)

There’s a lot to unpack here, but I think one of the biggest things to take away from this scene is that Finn’s reasoning for leaving the First Order had nothing to do with being against violence, but a moral confliction of not wanting to hurt defense people. This villager wasn’t a soldier, wasn’t trying to hurt him. She was just a woman with her baby. 

This wasn’t war, this was murder, and Finn refused to be a murderer. 

Leia never gave up, and neither will we. We’re gonna show them we’re not afraid… They’ve taken enough of us. Now we take the war to them.

John's "diva" behavior. How is he a diva in any way? For pointing out his character was shafted? For discussing racism? Also the fucking notion that Hollywood somehow doesn't tolerate "diva" behavior when there are a shitton of bitchy, demanding, and even violent white actors who are constantly catered to and given passes.

He’s a diva because he’s a black man and he refuses to be an Uncle Remus.

Okay, here’s the thing. There is an idea that black people should be thankful for whatever we’re given. We should take the scraps and be thankful that we managed to at least get something. I’ve seen this so many times. And it’s not just with black people of course but right now, it’s more important to talk about how this affects us black people.

John is no diva, he’s just a black man that isn’t sucking the Disney dick nor is he staying quiet on an important subject matter. John is using his fame as a platform and that’s a good thing. White people get praised for this all the time and people are going to slam John for doing so because they’re pissed he’s not their friendly, neighborhood negro anymore.

Do I sound mad?

Good, because I am. At this point, it’s become ridiculous. John cannot please these people. It’s not his job of course but I’m so sick of butthurt white fans trying to pain John as diva because they’re still mad that he openly mocked them. Mockery which they earned for being racist dickholes.

If you hate John Boyega over ship drama or because he’s vocal about Black Lives Matter, then you’re an idiot. That is all there is to it

Another reason I’m so annoyed with people getting mad at John for saying he hates racist is that this happens all the time!

Like a person will talk about how they hate a certain type of bigotry that affects their lives and you have people coming out of the woodwork trying to be like, “You can’t fight hate with hate.”

I have seen this so many times with queer folk, women, and of course, people of color. It’s exhausting. I’m sorry but sitting in a circle, holding hands, and singing kumbaya isn’t going to fix things. We also don’t have to be polite? We’re angry! We’re allowed to be angry. Telling oppressed people not to be upset about the oppression they face is idiotic. All these people who are saying John is being either too angry or unfair are part of the problem.

People really out getting fired up over John Boyega saying he hates "white people who are racist."

I hate to break it to you, but if you're offended by that it means you're a white person who is racist ... and a clown✌🤡
