Here at Ooga Booga, we pretty much back everything Brooks Headley does. As former head pastry chef at four-star, Del Posto, and now as the owner of the BEST burger restaurant in the world, Superiority Burger, Headley has graced the world with food best tasted to be believed. For anyone outside of New York City, his constant changing specials are documented in the Specials Graveyard zine and his unique and delicious dessert recipes can be found in Fancy Desserts. Not only can Brooks serve a tasty dish, but he can also deliver a punishing drum beat. Brooks has worked the rhythm section for various hardcore groups, including Born Against, the Universal Order of Armageddon and C.R.A.S.H.. 

Today, Brooks drums for duo OLDEST with Orthrelm guitarist Mick Barr. The results of their collaboration are worthy listening for any aficionado of heavier sounds.OLDEST conjure blasts of visceral, dissonant thrash that should appeal to anyone looking to get away from the usual Discharge-clones. We’re pretty stoked to be now be carrying their two outposts: a 6-song self-titled LP and a more recent 7-inch entitled “We’re Italians Too!”.

Starting from Chinese New Year’s eve (falls on 1/22 this year), Shanghai Airline will try to broadcast inflight announcements in very “rich flavored” Shanghai dialect (Shanghainese) on the returning flights from Beijing, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan 6 cities.  Airline launched “Shanghai Dialect broadcast in the cabin” service, in order to make the passengers on the plane to feel the deep flavor of Shanghai, let the Shanghai-born travelers to feel the warmth of home.
