At First I Wondered Why Chuuya Wasn't Dragging The Body Out For Dazai (who Had SHOT Earlier) But Then

At first I wondered why Chuuya wasn't dragging the body out for Dazai (who had SHOT earlier) but then I realized- if Dostoevsky's ability is blood related, then Chuuya could get infected, and Dazai can't cancel infection type abilities so Chuuya would kill everyone, so to prevent that Dazai was the one who dragged the body out

At First I Wondered Why Chuuya Wasn't Dragging The Body Out For Dazai (who Had SHOT Earlier) But Then

Also look at how pretty Chuuya is in this panel, he's around Dazai and he's not angy

“This is the biggest cohort of pediatric amputees in history,” a reconstructive surgeon who specializes in pediatric trauma said, of the record number of children who have been injured in the war in Gaza. https://t.co/3CyjkzxGMp

The Children Who Lost Limbs in Gaza
The New Yorker
More than a thousand children who were injured in the war are now amputees. What do their futures hold?

Gazal was wounded on November 10th, when, as her family fled Gaza City’s Al-Shifa hospital, shrapnel pierced her left calf. To stop the bleeding, a doctor, who had no access to antiseptic or anesthesia, heated the blade of a kitchen knife and cauterized the wound. Within days, the gash ran with pus and began to smell. By mid-December, when Gazal’s family arrived at Nasser Medical Center—then Gaza’s largest functioning health-care facility—gangrene had set in, necessitating amputation at the hip. On December 17th, a projectile hit the children’s ward of Nasser. Gazal and her mother watched it enter their room, decapitating Gazal’s twelve-year-old roommate and causing the ceiling to collapse.

UNICEF estimates that a thousand children in Gaza have become amputees since the conflict began in October. “This is the biggest cohort of pediatric amputees in history,” Ghassan Abu-Sittah, a London-based plastic-and-reconstructive surgeon who specializes in pediatric trauma, told me recently.

the "came back wrong" trope except like... they didnt. like this mad scientists wife died, and so he studied necromancy, brought her back, and she came back and it all worked. like she came back exactly the same as she was before with literally no difference. but the scientist guy is like "oh no... what have i done.... shes Different now!!!! she came back Wrong!!!!" and shes just like. chilling. reading a book. cooking dinner. shes just so so normal but in the guys mind hes like "oh shes soooo weird" but shes just normal

The settlers are already planning the names of cities in Palestine.

We are slowly running out of time, we have to take action. We have to demand, we have to scream. There was time to be polite, but It’s over now.

Fire is catching. Let it burn.

skk au where there's a dimension hopper who keeps finding them in every universe.

It starts off unintentionally. He's being chased by some space enforcers in an aircraft deployed by planet KB3204 when he's saved by a tall brunet and a short redhead.

"Told you this one would be easy to hack into," the brunet grins at his partner as he punches another enforcer unconscious.

"Yeah, yeah," the redhead rolls his eyes then offers a hand at him, "you okay, mister?"

"Yes... why did you save me?" He asks.

"Cause we hate the government and their stupid enforcers, that's why!" The redhead grins wide. "Who are you by the way?"

"I'm just a traveller," he gives the practised answer. "I come from far."

"Uh huh," the brunet nods, clearly seeing through his lies but also uninterested in the truth apparently.

"Ignore him. I'm Chuuya," the redhead says, "and that asshole is Dazai."

"They call us the double black," the brunet tells him rather proudly.

Chuuya laughs. "You love saying that, don't you?"

"As if you don't too?"

The man watches them bicker, confused but amused at the same time. The duo offers to take him along on their journey, and seeing no harm in it, he decides to stick with them for the next two weeks. Two weeks, just like he does in every other universe. Except he's alone in those. He's doing this to observe the universes, not to make connections.

But for the first time, he feels like he should observe these two.

He learns about Chuuya and Dazai, and how they live their lives just travelling and breaking government laws. How their planet is on the verge of collapsing altogether thanks to shitty politians and greedy scientists. It's a hectic life they're living, the man concluded. Hectic but fun.

He doesn't spare them a goodbye before leaving though. What's the point anyway? It's not like he'll ever return. Needless attachments are, unnecessary.

But after that, he keeps seeing them in every universe. And in every universe, they're a pair.

Day 7

Tuesday

Mom

@adrienagresteseptember2021

He always felt a connection, a bond, to his mother. It was something that couldn’t be explained. It was just so different.

And even after his mother’s death, the bond was still there. The intensity varied from place to a place. It was oddly strong in one of the floors of the house, really no special place. In this place it was like the bond was pulling him towards something underneath the mansion.

The bond was also very present in their favorite park, or an ice cream parlor they often wen,t to or her statue in the garden and her portrait in his father’s studio.

One day the bond was suddenly strong. It was already strong before but this was different as if something activated it and let it’s true power show.

The bond was pulling, no, guiding, him.

Guiding him towards her portrait.

He pressed onto hidden buttons of the drawing, as if it was the most normal thing in the world.

The ground beneath sunk lower. But he didn’t flinch. He knewthis was the right way.

Instead of dirt he saw a grande room with water, trees, butterflies and a casket.

He didn’t need the bond to know that he had to step out of the glass elevator and onto the bridge like metal building and go to it’s very end.

While walking down the path he felt like the main character, he didn’t know if as the hero or as the bad guy. He wasn’t sure about that, but he knew this was important, would change him.

And as he reached the end of it, he saw someone. Someone all to familiar who shouldn’t be here, laying in a casket.

He didn’t know what to do or what to say or... anything.

He just broke down behind the casket not being able to handle seeing his mother like this.

His cries grew quieter over time and he was ready to get back up and face her.

“Emilie, I did it! I fixed it!”

His father. Why had he never told him about this?

Adrien took a few more breaths. Ready to question his father, he stepped out from behind the casket.

“Father, wha-“

Instead of his father there was Hawkmoth standing in front of him, proudly holding up the peacock miraculous.

“A-adrien. What are you doing here?”

“What are youdoing here, father? Why is mother here? A-and why are you Hawkmoth? What is going on?”

Adrien couldn’t hold himself together, he broke down and let everything out. All the bottles up emotions.

Gabriel was shocked to say the least, he didn’t want his son to find out like this.

“Nooroo, dark wings fall.”

The fatherly dude in Gabriel took over seeing Adrien. So he sat down next to Adrien and hugged him.

“I’m sorry.”
