If we’re talking about shipping within the main cast (Autobots and their charges), I’m happy to discuss! But I’ll avoid side characters to keep things spoiler-free for everyone.

First off, you’re totally right—Optimus and Sunset, as well as Arcee and Twilight, share deep parent-child relationships. It warms my heart that so many readers have picked up on these bonds as they’ve developed over the story. And it has been such a joy to write. I still remember some people shipping OP and Sunny early on. And hey, if that’s your thing, that’s totally fine with me. I can see how their dynamic could be interpreted that way. Buuut for me, their connection has always been more about guidance, trust and familial love rather than anything romantic.

On the other hand, Sideswipe and Rainbow Dash? They’re totally siblings. Their personalities are so similar (loud, competitive, chaotic) that they just had to have that type of dynamic. (Plus, I’m more of a StrongSwipe enjoyer anyway. (｡•̀ᴗ-)✧)

Speaking of ships that have taken off, I’m thrilled with the love Flutterbee and Knority (or CrystalCherry, as some of my mutuals and I affectionately call it) are getting. Seeing people get behind these pairings has been so incredibly rewarding.

As for Smokescreen & Pinkie and Bulkhead & Applejack, they’re very much in progress. I’ve got plans for these pairs and I’m so excited to explore their dynamics further. Can’t wait to see what you all think as things develop!
