Wdym USUALLY??
each one of the seven secretly thinks "i'm the most useless person on this ship. everyone is doing smth cool fighting stuff and all and i'm just here. like an idiot"
exept for annabeth
she always thinks she's the most competent person in the room and it's usually true
And dad's iconic like thatđâ¨ď¸
Hermes and Poseidon both struggling to stay away from their sons and being haunted by what the Fates have in store for them meanwhile Hades click clacking around the underworld palace with his little heels thinking of sea puns to tell Percy
can we talk about how loving jude slowly makes cardan have the confidence to be himself ???
like when he finally charms her, itâs his real self
she desired the boy prince who was cruel to everyone but she loved the boy king that was vulnerable and lost and finally learning that he has a true place in the worldâ that he is worth something
all while cardan always loved the real judeâ jude was never afraid to be herself and maybe thatâs why he first hated then furiously loved her
cardan was most himself when he was with jude
maybe he was begging for his life, but he was also begging for her heart u_u
The "imaginative little kid" to "little girl who's in her own little world" to "shy girl with no friends" to "oc lore writer" to "weird kid" to "social recluse" to "reality shifter" pipeline is real
*slowly slides friendship contract towards you*
(The contract literally only says food and delulu)
I need a shifting friend pleaseeerr
Unique(obviously) . Excruciating(imagine him in constant 'pain' cuz he knows she hates him and he knows she isnt his and probably wont be) Alarming(imagine him alarmed everytime he sees her because hes just hit with how beautiful she is and how much unlike him and loved) Distressing(imagine him panicking because yup, he loves her, but she never will)
The best part of the percy jackson books is that from percy's perspective hes just an easygoing funny cool guy who seems pretty harmless but the moment you see him from someone elses pov hes terrifying. Just a crazy good fighter, a force of nature killing machine, literally gets mistaken for a god in disguise. But he doesnt see that side of himself at all because hes too busy arguing with authority figures and respecting women. I love him

"You and I might have more in common than you think."
Not only did Cardan send Jude a dress to match his own clothing in tcp, but out of the blue that night, he decides to dance with Jude. He doesnât even wait for her and Locke to be done. And he says nothing that indicates he had a specific reason to talk to her. Read it. Chapter 20 TCP. He has nothing important to say to her, and he doesnât mock her either. He just makes conversation in his Cardan way of doing so, while also getting the tiniest bit handsy.
Beautifully, he ends their conversation with, âUntil we spar again.â As he departs, Jude says that Cardan âweaves unsteadily through the crowdâ
Bitch⌠đŤ˘âŚ we know damn well why them legs unsteady. And it ainât the mf liquor.
Poseidon and Sally being good co-parents is really healing something in my child-of-a-divorcee heart. Sally can JUST summon him and he will JUST arrive.
"you won't want to hear it"/"no, but tell me anyway" MEANS SO MUCH TO ME. Like yes! Poseidon bearing part of the mental load means a lot to me.
