The realm of the elderings tumblr experience is seeing fanart of a funky little jester, being like “ooo who’s that?” and then having to wade through several giant books he’s barely in.

under communism the only tv show that will be allowed to air is how it's made

I was reading some reviews on Dune: Prophecy on imdb because I'm a bit baffled that the show is getting somewhat bashed. Yes, I'm loving it! And of course the problem seems to be that is to focused on women. I'm sorry if I'm getting the wrong impression but just read this gem of a comment from a user:
"It could have been great but they narrowed the focus to much around the bene geserat. It's OK but feels like they spent all there effort trying to come up with a plot line which meant that men would be props. Dune had interesting and powerful women but it also had strong male characters, this show really doesn't. It lacks the testosterone hormone which really the one that makes the world an interesting place.
The graphics and sets are very good, it's just dull, even the sex scenes have the women on top. The plot seems contrived in parts. All the women are hard on the eye, it's a bit like modern computer games in that regard."
I can't say WTF enough, but I had to snort when it came to sex scenes and oh noeeessssss women on top XD
I mean, I understand it's not everyone's cup of tea, and I do understand that the setting may feel weird. I'm a Dune book lover, and I do get why some aspects may feel itchy but overall my opinion is that it's very well done, very intriguing with complex characters and complex *female* characters yes. Is there, for any instance, a lack of sci-fi and fantasy focused on men? Please.
Takes me back to SW fanboys a few years ago complaining that all the movies have women as main characters now... I guess it will never change.
all my life i thought matthew mcconaughey was just like idk some generic guy hollywood engineered in a lab for white moms to buy trashy magazines to masturbate with but then i watch true detective and now i need him carnally. he's got range is all i'm sayin.
no artist can ever make anything as relatable as edward gorey drawing a shrewd little man looking out upon a barren ass landscape & the only caption he chose to describe this intensely bizarre scene is “hoo.”
