I think Frankenstein's Monster should be allowed the name Frankenstein. Frankenstein was Victor Frankenstein's lastname, meaning his bastard child he created out of wedlock with science should be allowed Victor's lastname. I don't remember if he was called anything other than Monster in the book, but I do remember he enjoyed Paradise Lost. So I propose his full name be either Monster Frankenstein, just owning the insult, OR Lucifer Frankenstein, since he's dramatic and related to dear ol' Lucy in Paradise Lost.
I hope y'all are familiar with these in this day and age, especially my artists out there, because they're incredibly common.
About half an hour ago I posted a drawing and tagged it #artists on tumblr, and very quickly received this comment.
My scam radar went off immediately, due to the generic blog name and lack of any emotion in the comment, but I decided it might be an entertaining venture so I dmed them. They asked for a drawing "of these", and sent me a random selfie. I got the details and told them it would be $15, and they promptly offered me $300. At this point I know it's a scam, but I play along for funsies and give them my paypal. Shortly, they send me this image for "confirmation" (I blocked out my email)
And they began to insist that I checked my email. I looked in my spam folder and found the following email.
This is fake. This is not a thing. And the "you're to refund the $200.00 back" is the scam. They send vaguely official-looking emails at you to "prove" that they sent you the money, then have you send them $200 (or however much the scam is for). Then, surprise surprise, you're out $200.
I continued to play along for a bit, and in the second email "Paypal" told me that I had to refund the $200 before they could "credit the $300 to my account", along with these lovely threats.
And yeah, it's silly. But it's not silly if you don't know and get scammed. So. Spread, please! And thank you very much to @mlaurel for the opportunity to get these screenshots.

Hi, I’m Tareq from Gaza 🇵🇸, a father to three innocent and beautiful daughters: Sham, Masa, and Wateen. 👶🏻
I haven't even reached 1% of my goal, and I am urgently seeking people who can share my campaign consistently to help me reach as many supporters as possible. I would be deeply grateful if you could add my campaign to your list, if you have one.
I’m reaching out to you from the depths of despair, as my family and I face unimaginable suffering. The war has taken everything from us—our home, our safety, and even our ability to provide the basic necessities of life. We now live in a fragile tent that can barely shield us from the bitter cold. My daughters are sick, shivering in the freezing nights, and there’s no clean water or food to ease their pain. 🥺
As a father, there’s no greater agony than watching your children suffer, knowing you cannot protect them. I never imagined I would have to beg for help, but I’ve exhausted every other option. I’m pleading with you to help save my family’s lives. A small donation of just €20 could make the difference between life and death for us. 🕊️
The link in bio and in my pinned post. 📌
Your kindness could bring us warmth, food, and clean water—basic human needs that we’ve been deprived of. Please, if you can, donate through the link in my bio. Together, we can give my daughters a chance to live, to dream, and to survive this nightmare. ✨❤️
I myself cannot donate, but I'll help spread the word 🙏🙏🙏❤💛💚💙💜
Our local newspaper ran a story about the legendary graffiti artist who recently passed away and. Literally everything about it is fucking insane. I'm insane about it.
So this guy has been extremely active for around fifteen years, during which he spread these beautiful, high quality pieces all over the country, way over a thousand of his standard signature, and probably thousands more. He did completely batshit stuff like literally spray painting an entire train from top to bottom or leaving his signature at the top of a 600ft tall overpass and this whole time, only five people from his crew know who he really is. To everyone else it's a complete mystery.
And then he dies at the age of 35. A few weeks after his death, his crew shows up at his completely unassuming parents' doorstep, reveals who they are and asks if they can host a memorial exhibition of his art.
Turns out, this dude has been leading an insane double life. In the daytime he was a meek little office worker with a partially paralyzed arm and no social life to speak of. In the nighttime he was a fucking legend. Not only did he climb that fucking 600ft overpass, he did it WITH A PHYSICAL DISABILITY. THE MADLAD. And throughout the entire time, fifteen years, he got caught once. ONCE. HE DID ALL THAT UNNOTICED. THAT'S INSANE.
I feel like, if forced to choose a poor person job, Tim would be a stripper. I don't know why, he just gives that energy. So does Dick, but for entirely different reasons
I'm bored, as I always am. Give me your most insane Batfam opinions. Or fun facts, if you feel so inclined. Idk much about the rest of DC, but feel free to talk about other supers if you want. I just love yapping.

biggest reason i make so many flop posts on here is because everything i do reeks of the desperation to make a popular tumblr post. this is deliberate, because it is what protects me from ACTUALLY making a popular tumblr post. so long as i crave it, tumblr fame will never find me. it is only when i turn away, and accept my fate of obscurity, that people will lay their eyes upon me. and it WILL be because i tripped and fell on my stupid face while i was turning
One question. Who's the father?
Serious question: DC has asked you (yes you 🫵) to write a 10 issue Jason Todd comic run. No conditions or stipulations, any era, any supporting cast, any villain. What do you do?
reblog to give jk rowling the most horrible migraine ever
THE ERA OF VANISHING HAS BEGUN
They are not arresting people. They are vanishing them.
Rumeysa Ozturk wasn’t read her rights. She wasn’t told why she was being detained. She was walking to break her fast in Somerville, Massachusetts when masked men in an unmarked SUV pulled up, took her phone, slapped on handcuffs, and dragged her into a vehicle like she was some kind of national security threat.
She’s a doctoral student. A Fulbright scholar. A trauma researcher. But in Donald Trump’s America, she fit the profile: Muslim, foreign-born, sympathetic to Palestinians.
Now she’s locked in a for-profit detention center in Louisiana, hundreds of miles from her lawyer, after a federal judge specifically said she wasn’t to be moved.
They moved her anyway. Because rules no longer apply to those with badges — real or fake.
A MOVEMENT BUILT ON CHAINS AND COWARDS
Alireza Doroudi is gone too.
He’s a doctoral student at the University of Alabama, born in Iran, studying mechanical engineering. No criminal record. No warning. Just scooped off the grid.
ICE refuses to say where he’s being held. No public charge has been announced. His only crime appears to be existing in the wrong body, from the wrong country, in the wrong era.
Mahmoud Khalil was next — a Columbia student, arrested for leading pro-Palestinian protests. Trump labeled him a “radical foreign Hamas sympathizer” on Truth Social. Days later, he was gone.
Jeanette Vizguerra was taken from her Target shift in Colorado, chained at the waist.
Alfredo “Lelo” Juarez, a farmworker organizer, was dragged from his car at dawn in Washington. His window was smashed by federal agents. His voice silenced.
These aren’t isolated incidents. These are deliberate acts of political intimidation.
They are testing the system — testing us — to see how many people they can disappear before we stop calling it democracy.
WHEN ICE IS A BADGE — AND A COSTUME
While the real ICE disappears scholars, organizers, and mothers, the fakes are circling like vultures.
In South Carolina, Sean-Michael Johnson posed as an ICE officer. He pulled over a van of Latino men, screamed slurs, jiggled their keys, and knocked a phone out of someone’s hand. “You’re going back to Mexico!” he shouted. He wasn’t an agent — but he played one with conviction.
In North Carolina, Carl Thomas Bennett used a fake badge to sexually assault a woman at a motel. He told her if she didn’t comply, he’d have her deported. He held up a counterfeit ID and pretended to be the state.
And in Philadelphia, a Temple University student in an “ICE” shirt tried to storm a dorm building with two accomplices. They were dressed for the part, intoxicated by the illusion of authority, emboldened by the climate.
This is what happens when the state makes cruelty a brand. When a badge becomes a fetish object. When the line between enforcement and cosplay disappears altogether.
THE WHOLE SYSTEM IS THE CRIME
Let’s stop pretending this is a coincidence.
This is a unified strategy. The Trump administration is using ICE like a personal strike force — targeting international students, protest leaders, organizers, and mothers with surgical precision.
They invoke secret designations. They bypass due process. They manufacture pretexts out of thin air and rely on the fog of bureaucracy to hide the blood on the floor.
The point isn’t law enforcement. The point is deterrence. Spectacle. Control.
This is what political cleansing looks like when it’s dressed up in the language of national security.
They’re showing the world that resistance has a cost — and the cost is your freedom, your voice, your visibility, your future.
SILENCE IS CONSENT. AND WE ARE LOUD.
There is no middle ground here. No fence to sit on. No neutral position when people are being kidnapped in the name of the state.
ICE doesn’t need your applause. It needs your silence. Every time a student vanishes and the media shrugs, every time a woman is cuffed and the public looks away, the machine gets stronger.
They are daring us to ignore it. They are counting on our numbness. They are betting that we’ll keep scrolling.
We cannot let them win.
This is not border policy. This is not visa enforcement. This is not safety. This is authoritarianism with a PowerPoint presentation. This is fascism disguised as formality.
This is the state stripping people from the land and pretending it’s order.
Let the record show:
They took people.
And we did not look away.
We saw it.
We named it.
We raised hell.
And we did not stop.

Like in the thumb war episode with Buford
There are people (who haven't watched the show since it aired when they were in middle school) who think that Ferb is the true genius of the bros, who just happens to be shyer than his more outgoing sibling. These people, I have heard, were under the impression that Ferb carries his brother and all their projects by himself, essentially like the nerd who does the jocks' homework for them.
Obviously we know this is wrong on multiple fronts. The most egregious example being that he can do whatever he wants. Look at him. He cares zilch. If you think Ferb can be coerced or commanded to do anything he doesn't feel like doing you are grossly mistaken. NOBODY can take his lunch money. If you try to intimidate him he'll straight up knock you out.
Depends. Who's the other guy?
I'm gonna go commit a few felonies and then run for mayor!
Uk peeps!! Let’s get this going! 🏳️⚧️🇬🇧
This is why I love Tumblr
at first i was thinking maybe the Waynes got their money from the oversea shipping and railways connected to Gotham's harbour but i think it makes more sense for them to have gotten their wealth else where and for Bruce to spend a significant chunk of his civilian time fighting against the people who own those docks and railways who keep lobbying to lower safety standards and also pay
he keeps trying to buy them out but they refuse to play ball because local regulations over workers are some of the weakest in the country and no one wants to give that up
I want them
Rb if you want all the hcs people have about you in your inbox
So, I saw this image on Facebook, and it was supposedly showing what Queen Nefertiti would have looked like in real life:
Now, I thought this AI generated garbage was just truly terrible on a number of levels; first off, she looks wayyyyyy too modern - her makeup is very “Hollywood glamour”, she looks airbrushed and de-aged, and as far as I’m aware, Ancient Egyptians didn’t have mascara, glitter-based eyeshadows and lip gloss. Secondly, her features are exceptionally whitewashed in every sense - this is pretty standard for AI as racial bias is prevalent in feeding AI algorithms, but I genuinely thought a depiction of such a known individual would not exhibit such euro-centric features. Thirdly, the outfit was massively desaturated and didn’t take pigment loss into consideration, and while I *do* like the look of the neck attire, it's not at all accurate (plus, again, AI confusion on the detailing is evident).
So, this inspired me to alter the image on the left to be more accurate based off the sculpture’s features. I looked into Ancient Egyptian makeup and looked at references for kohl eyeliner and clay-based facial pigment (rouge was used on cheeks, charcoal-based powder/paste was used to darken and elongate eyebrows), and I looked at pre-existing images of Nefertiti, both her mummy and other reconstructions. While doing this, I found photos of a 3D scanned sculpture made by scientists at the University of Bristol and chose to collage the neck jewellery over the painting (and edited the lighting and shadows as best as I could).
Something I see a lot of in facial recreations of mummies is maintaining the elongated and skinny facial features as seen on preserved bodies - however, fat, muscle and cartilage shrink/disappear post mortem, regardless of preservation quality; Queen Nefertiti had art created of her in life, and these pieces are invaluable to developing an accurate portrayal of her, whether stylistic or realistic in nature.
And hey, while I don't think my adjustments are perfect (especially the neck area), I *do* believe it is a huge improvement to the original image I chose to work on top of.
I really liked working on this project for the last few days, and I think I may continue to work on it further to perfect it. But, until then, I hope you enjoy!
Remember, likes don't help artists but reblogs do!

I made this a long time ago but for some reason never posted! It is my quick guide to protecting yourself against burnout as a person with ADHD and ASD.
Of course it is all about meeting your support needs at the end of the day, which are completely individual and may vary over time, but this could function as a guide if you have a hard time figuring out where to start! 🫶🏻 💙💙💙
That is the best policy I've ever heard. You've got my vote
What if I run for mayor?
He protects Crime Alley. He might help you, he might have no idea what to do.
You have entered Gotham city. Find Red Hood. He's one of the few people who might be able to help you return to Ithica and wouldn't totally freak out at you for killing the suitors who attempted to harm your family. He's chill. The other bats are less chill.
@jason-t0dd
The red hood?
Bernard will always be the weird guy that is loved by weirdos and no one else. I am proud to be weird in this area
Everyone needs one in Gotham, so pretty much everywhere sells them
Hello, you don't seem to be from around here
I am not. Who are you?
You'll also want to get a gas mask
Hello, you don't seem to be from around here
I am not. Who are you?
No one of consequence. I simply came to warn you. Don't drink the water until you're sure it's at least ninety percent actual water and don't draw attention from the bats or rouges. Don't stay long unless you intend to stay. Tourists don't do well here
Hello, you don't seem to be from around here
I am not. Who are you?
//I just wanted to take a moment to remind you of something incredibly important: you are deeply loved—no matter what. Your worth is not defined by your productivity, your struggles, or how you feel on any given day. You matter so much simply because you exist—exactly as you are.
Your heart, your presence, and every part of you that makes you unique is valuable beyond measure. The world is brighter because you are in it. Even on heavy days, when it feels hard to keep going, please remember that you are never truly alone. There are people who care about you deeply, even if you can’t always see or feel it. You are not a burden. You are not too much. You are wanted here.
Please, keep living. Even when it feels impossible. Even when your mind tries to convince you that it wouldn’t matter if you were gone—it would. It would matter more than you could ever know. You have touched more lives than you realize. You leave pieces of your heart in the people you care about. You’ve made someone smile, laugh, or feel seen on days they needed it most. And there are so many people—more than you may ever be aware of—who want you here. People who would miss you deeply if you were gone. People whose lives you’ve changed just by being you.
You carry a light within you, even when you can’t feel it. On the days when you believe you are flickering out, I promise you, you are still glowing. You are still making a difference simply by being here.
You are worthy of kindness, peace, and joy. You deserve to be treated with the same gentleness and compassion that you offer to others. And when you can’t be kind to yourself, I hope you’ll let these words hold you with the tenderness you deserve. You don’t have to be perfect to be loved. You already are, exactly as you are.
You are doing better than you might realize. Growth isn’t always visible, and healing isn’t always linear—but every small step forward, even the ones you don’t notice, is still progress. Even breathing, even getting out of bed, even existing on the hard days—it’s all a testament to your strength. You are so much stronger than you give yourself credit for.
Your story isn’t over—it’s still being written. There are still people you haven’t met yet who will love you. Places you haven’t seen that will take your breath away. Sunrises and sunsets that will remind you of hope. You have so much life ahead of you, filled with moments of laughter, peace, and joy—even if it doesn’t feel that way right now.
So, please. Hold on. Keep living. The world is better with you in it. And I, along with so many others, am so proud of you for making it this far.
You are loved. You are enough. You are wanted. And you are never alone. 💙
Spread this around
