I also like how reasonable mark is about Oscar, he doesn’t overhype him tbh and pulls back certain comparisons, yet is his staunch supporter when ppl do say stuff slightly out of line (i am always thinking about him going back to Laura and being like “so what were you saying about Oscar’s tire management 🤨🤨” after oscar did well).
LET'S ALL KILL OURSELVES! sorry. beauuutiful edit. and agreed with everything else you've said! he supports oscar and although we don't know how much of this is mark's influence, i think it's safe to say he isn't overblowing anything since oscar always seems to have a very grounded mindset. even recently after winning in spain obv he was pleased with his victory but mentioned he didn't have the perfect restart (smiling and saying he was wheelspinning in 6th gear or something). he's happy with what he's done well and doesn't beat himself up for what he didn't do as well because he recognises it was good enough to get him the win, BUT he shows an awareness that there's always things he can improve... great stuff

been reading through the simi archives and was thinking about rookie seb - more specifically, when kimi and seb were going out and kimi took shots for seb (iirc) so I've been thinking about the inverse - fic where seb doesn't want to let kimi baby him and takes all the drinks that night (even though kimi obviously doesnt need it with his alcohol tolerance) and then of course seb ends up dead drunk and then kimi has to haul him back to the hotel - seb making grand declarations of love while being piggybacked by kimi (i think seb is a talkative drunk, much like kimi, but seb is noisy normally so it's just less obvious)
just having simi fluff thoughts 😔 kimi giving seb a forehead kiss while tucking him into bed so seb doesn't drunkenly roll off - and waking up with seb plastered against him the next morning (unable to roll off the bed, there is only one way for seb to go)

imola gp was certainly...something. ferrari bringing themselves back into the points, aston martin losing it all, the race really had something for everybody. what i really want to know is, what was happening at williams??? like this is a genuine question because i was locked out of the race and i do not know why carlos had to claw himself up from p14 when he qualified p6. if any carlos scholars out there are doing race analysis i would be grateful for a tag 🙇
williams resolutely standing by not bringing upgrades this year and getting closer to the front running cars every week is getting increasingly funnier btw. this is a story about believing that other people are shitter than you, don’t believe in yourself, believe that everyone else is worse x
