Stiles Stilinski had dealt with a lot of weird crap in his life - werewolves, kanimas, evil druids, you name it - but nothing, nothing, had prepared him for the sight of a cranky, pouty faced toddler standing in Derek Hale’s oversized leather jacket in the middle of the loft, blinking up at him with wide green eyes and a suspicious furrow in his tiny brow.

“What the hell?” Stiles whispered to himself, barely resisting the urge to back away slowly like the kid was going to sprout fangs and go feral.

Toddler Derek, because that’s definitely who it was, same scowl, same eyebrows of doom, stared up at him, obviously confused and a little scared. His lower lip wobbled, and Stiles immediately panicked.

“No! No crying! Oh my God, please don’t cry. Jesus Christ, what do I even do with you?”

Derek didn’t cry. He just reached his arms up, tiny, chubby, grabby hands, and said, softly and warily, “You smell safe.”

Stiles’s heart broke a little. “Oh my God. Okay. Okay, come here, tiny wolf man.” He scooped Derek up awkwardly, arms full of baby werewolf, who immediately tucked his head under Stiles’s chin and exhaled like that was exactly what he needed.

Stiles had no idea what to do. Should he call Deaton? Peter? There was no handbook for “my grumpy werewolf friend got de aged and now he wants to cuddle.”

And cuddle Derek did.

He refused to be more than two feet away from Stiles at any time. Stiles tried to set him down once and the look he got in return was so betrayed, so deeply offended, that Stiles muttered an apology and let him stay glued to his chest.

Eventually, Stiles gave up and flopped onto the couch with Derek still clinging to him like a baby koala. Derek squirmed until he was fully sprawled across Stiles’s torso, cheek pressed over Stiles’s heart, tiny fist gripping the collar of his hoodie.

“Movie?” Derek mumbled, muffled by fabric.

Stiles blinked down at him. “You… wanna watch a movie?”

Derek nodded slowly, like he was still figuring out what that meant, but the idea of sitting on the couch with Stiles and a movie clearly felt right.

So Stiles turned on Disney+, because what else do you show a baby Alpha, and settled in to watch The Lion King. Halfway through, Derek was asleep, warm and heavy and completely trusting, drooling a little on Stiles’s hoodie.

Stiles stared at the ceiling, one hand resting protectively on Derek’s tiny back. “This is fine,” he whispered to himself. “Everything’s fine. I am so not qualified for this, but okay.”

He was absolutely not ready to be a toddler’s emotional support human… but if Derek needed him, he’d fake it till he made it. Or until someone figured out how to reverse the magical toddler curse.

Whichever came first.

The loft was quiet after everyone else left, all determined to find the witch who had cursed Derek into a pocket sized version of himself. Stiles had volunteered to stay behind, mostly because someone had to babysit, but also because, well… tiny Derek was starting to grow on him. Literally. He wouldn’t stop climbing into Stiles’s lap.

Stiles didn’t mind, though. Not really.

It turned out toddler Derek talked a lot more than adult Derek. Most of it was nonsense; half formed thoughts, jumbled memories, or whatever wild idea was bouncing around his too big brain in his too small body.

"Do werewolves like peanut butter?" Derek asked one evening, legs swinging off the couch and head leaning against Stiles's arm.

Stiles snorted. "You tell me, buddy. You're the expert."

“I think yes,” Derek said seriously. “But only with jelly. Grape. Not strawberry.”

Stiles chuckled and nudged his shoulder. “Noted.”

Derek would wander the loft, always staying within ten feet of Stiles, muttering things like “My ears are fuzzy” or “Do you think fullshift wolves can wear hats?” and Stiles would play along every time, something warm unfurling in his chest every time Derek grinned at him or tugged on his hoodie to get his attention.

One afternoon, while Stiles was flipping through a book on magical reversals and Derek was curled into his side watching Finding Nemo, Derek tilted his head and whispered, “You smell like cookies and lightning.”

Stiles blinked down at him. “That… might be the weirdest thing anyone’s ever said to me.”

“I like cookies,” Derek mumbled with a yawn. “And lightning is fast. I like you.”

And just like that, Stiles melted.

He didn’t say anything, just pressed a kiss to Derek’s wild curls and whispered, “I like you too, little dude.”

They fell into a rhythm after that. Derek would babble; Stiles would listen. Derek would get overwhelmed, and Stiles would pull him into a hug, rocking them gently. Nights were the hardest, Derek would get scared and cling to Stiles, crawling into bed beside him like Stiles could shelter Derek from the scary realities of the world.

And then, one morning, Stiles woke up to warmth and the weight of someone beside him.

He stretched, cracked one eye open…and froze.

Adult Derek was lying there, curled on his side, watching him quietly. His eyes were soft. So soft.

“Oh my God,” Stiles whispered. “You’re…you’re you again.”

Derek nodded slowly. “Hi.”

Stiles blinked. “Hi.”

They stared at each other for a long moment, and then Derek said, “You smiled a lot at me. When I was little.”

Stiles flushed. “Well, yeah. You were adorable.”

“You made me feel safe,” Derek said, voice low and sincere, like it was the most important thing he could ever say. “No one’s ever made me feel that safe, Stiles. Not even when I was really a kid.”

Stiles swallowed hard. “Derek…”

Derek reached out, fingers brushing against Stiles’s wrist. “I meant what I said. You do smell like cookies and lightning.”

Stiles laughed, a little watery. “Still the weirdest compliment I’ve ever gotten.”

“Still true,” Derek said with a small smile.

And Stiles. Well... He smiled again. Just like before. And Derek looked at him like that smile was magic.

This movie does not let you get comfortable. There is no ‘meeting the characters’ in the beginning- there is no deep look into their lives. We get straight into it. And when I say straight into it, I mean that the intro was literally a couple getting kidnapped and the kidnapper driving away.

It’s never directly stated where the unnamed doctor is keeping them. Is he in his home? In a warehouse? Who the hell knows! But, wherever they are, it’s grimy and extremely uncomfortable even to the viewer. Even the lighting is this god awful yellow that makes the movie feel so much more dingy than it needed to be. But it’s not like I watched it for giggles, I was looking to be disturbed and man I definitely got what I was looking for.

Now, just because it hit the mark on the disturbing scale, that doesn’t mean that it was enjoyable to watch. I felt sick to my stomach with some scenes- especially the ones with very heavy sexual assault.

So, this doctor- whose name I either didn’t catch or he’s just an unnamed character- is looking for excitement. He even asks the couple if they could excite him with their wills to live. Yeah, crazy, I know.

The torture he subjects them too is pretty brutal. Even though the gore isn’t exactly the worst I’ve seen, the aggression of it was enough to make me rate the gore as severe.

If you find yourself watching this movie and you end up having hope for the characters, lose that hope immediately. There is no hope. None. I really mean it this time.

Gotta say, the last ten minutes seemed like something more out of a parody of a horror movie, but the rest was very unsettling and hard to watch.

Warnings: Rape- and I say this with my chest- if you are not comfortable watching that then DO NOT watch this movie. There are several rape scenes in this movie and one of them lasts six minutes. To add to that, there is quite a bit of nudity and I mean full nudity- nothing is spared. There is also severe torture, extreme sadism, limb severing, idk how to put this lightly but there’s penis torture, intestines, vomit. Really, I don’t think I can even list all the warnings for this movie- there’s quite a bit and it doesn’t really let up. Just know that it’s got lots of gore, sexual abuse, and torture.

This movie definitely lives up to its name. Truly grotesque.

My favorite part about GIF making is taking apart the interactions. Really getting to see moments that are over in the blink of an eye and overthinking them in my head.

I adore the parking garage scene, like probably every Steter shipper. There are so many good moments here, some big ones that have been rotating in my brain on repeat but also smaller ones that I had missed because they were over so quickly.

The following is a mix of both. Just everything about the parking garage that brings me joy, with running commentary that would be too much in the finished GIF set.

Why are you leaning against him, Stiles? Why is your arm on Peter? He just kidnapped you and is currently showing you the dead body of his nurse, why are you leaning against his shoulder?

Did you have to lean real close to whisper into his ear, Peter? Was that necessary? While you already had him bend over a car?

I'll never get over the sassy eyebrow and the exasperated eyeroll. What kind of exchange is this, in a hostage situation.

Yes, Peter, we know this and we love your for this.

The fact that Peter not only offers the bite, instead of forcing it, but that he goes out of his way to explain to Stiles that it could indeed kill him is something that has me in a vice grip.

THREE TIMES. He asks for consent three times. He asks if Stiles wants the bite, when Stiles is too baffled to react, he asks again, and then when he has Stiles' wrist so close to his teeth, he asks a third time.

And when Stiles doesn't verbally reply, he keeps staring at him for multiple moments, making eye-contact with Stiles to check if he is declining, before he even just drops his fangs.

I just can't stress enough that this happens directly after we find his dead nurse in the trunk of his car, right after he had mauled Lydia and left her on the lacrosse field. He kills and maims and hurts uncaring, but he asks for consent, repeatedly, and when he is rejected, he allows it. Because he's a werewolf, he just bent Stiles' metal keys like they were made of paper; if he didn't allow it then Stiles wouldn't have been able to pull free from his grip.

And the face of disappointment and rejection after. Absolutely kills me.

But he accepts it and just... leaves Stiles, completely unharmed.

And this is Stiles' reaction to him leaving and it also kills me. Because Stiles audibly gasps, and he jerks forward, like he wants to stop Peter, opening his mouth to speak but closing it before saying a word.

How was I ever supposed to be normal about this ship...?

This is so sick and twisted I love it

I think that part of why Stiles aiding in Peter's murder is so important to me is because it stands in such a contrast to Peter's behavior toward Stiles.

Peter never harmed Stiles, at all. He doesn't hurt him, the worst he does is drag him along by his collar and shove his face down onto a car but even that is done much gentler than werewolf strength could make it.

But Stiles? Stiles took the first step in Peter's murder, by throwing the first Molotov cocktail. By wanting to set the victim of a horrific fire on fire again.

It's so ruthless and vicious and it is contrasted so hard by how Peter truly goes out of his way to not harm Stiles.

Not in the hospital when Stiles realizes Peter is the Alpha. Even though Peter could have so easily killed Stiles before Derek got there, but instead Peter just stood there and smiled at Stiles.

Not on the lacrosse field when he could have janked Stiles around, forced him with threats of violence. Even though Peter had just violently and animalistically attacked Lydia, yet even the act of making Stiles get off the ground is straight-up gentle by guiding him by his chin and not hauling him up with force.

Not in the parking garage, where it would have been so easy to force the bite onto Stiles, where it would have been so easy to just kill Stiles once he fulfilled his use. Even though we see the dead nurse in his trunk, because he killed her for being no longer useful. Even though he wants to give Stiles the bite, yet he accepts the rejection. And he just... leaves, not a hair harmed on that boy.

Peter's own behavior toward Stiles already stands in stark contrast to his behavior toward literally everybody else.

And, to me, it is heightened even more by the contrast of Stiles' own ruthlessness.

Because Peter did something worse than harm Stiles. He harmed those Stiles loved. He bit Scott and he tore into Lydia.

And it's probably my favorite character trait of Stiles', his unbreakable loyalty and his ruthless defense of those he loves. And I like to think it's also Peter's favorite character trait of Stiles'.

Which makes the murder so much more fucked up, in such a delicious way. Because it was traumatic and literally deadly to Peter, but I like to think that a part of Peter appreciates the part Stiles played in it.

Peter, who killed everyone who was involved with the Hale Fire, appreciates the ruthless murderous intend Stiles feels when those he loves are harmed and wronged. Even when it's the one boy he never harmed, never wanted to harm.

And that's fucked up and twisted and delicious and perfect.

Tamara (2005)

Summary: As a straight A high school student who dabbles in witchcraft, Tamara is an outcast. One day, her bullies’ cruelty went too far, but she shocks them with her return as she seeks revenge and wants to take what’s hers.

If I had to describe this movie in one way it’d be if ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’ met ‘Jennifer’s Body’

The movie starts out with this shy, nerdy girl, Tamara, who’s been daydreaming about her teacher, Mr. Notolly. [Just because I don’t want any problems, I’m letting y’all know that I do not support real student/teacher relationships] Now, she wrote this paper on steroid usage in school sports which got her peers to treat her even more cruelly. Things go downhill from the point that they find out about her crush on her teacher.

They play a cruel prank on her and she ends up dying in the process, so they bury her body to avoid trouble with the authorities. As a result, Tamara rose from the dead in search of revenge on those who wronged her and to have Mr. Notolly all to herself.

I find a certain plot point in this movie to be similar to that of ‘Jennifer’s Body’- Tamara died, came back drop-dead gorgeous, and brutally tormented people. Oh how I love my glamorous demonic slasher women.

Overall, I think this movie was a really interesting concept and I loved to see two of my favorite movies basically combined into one. I’m going to tag ‘Jennifer’s Body’ and ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’ as I think fans of these movies would really enjoy this one.

There were a few points where the acting was a little off, which always takes off points for me, but the movie still compelled me in spite of that. I really enjoyed Tamara’s story and how tragic it really was in the end. The ending wasn’t a major plot twist but it was a little unexpected, though thee is one point of the movie where the ending is hinted at. I will definitely watch this again.

Warnings: Implied/Brief flashback of drugged rape, severed body parts, glass eating, just a decent amount of mutilation, one-sided student/teacher relationship, one-sided parental incest (It is implied that Tamara’s father is chasing after her but it is not as direct as I feared it would be), vomit, brief self cannibalism, eating disorder is depicted in one scene.

Okay so as I read those warnings through again, this sounds kind of insane but it’s definitely bearable. Although if you’re uncomfortable watching anything that was listed, I recommend you stay away from this.

Good morning everyone! (Or goodnight for some) I know I said I’d post a movie rec/review per day but I haven’t posted since March 8th. Sorry about that but I had an intense manic episode and ended up like three states away from where I live.

Anywho. I should be okay- even though I managed to break my foot again- and I’ll be back up and running either later today or tomorrow. Not that I think anybody here missed me- I think the most I got was 3 likes on a movie rec I posted. But lol if you’re reading this, I’ll be open to any movies you might wanna recommend. :)

WOAH. This movie starts off with a bang- by showing a victim of this psycho clown killer, Art, and drilling right into the violence. You’re kinda thrown head first into the aggressive gore that’s in this movie which definitely kept me on my toes. Honestly, I’ve seen more gory movies than this, but this is definitely on a high tier on the aggressive scale. I feel like gore can be done in so many ways but it’s this kind of aggressiveness that really gets to people. It’s gross, fucked up, shocking, and it’s really in your face with this movie.

The scene with Dawn was honestly the most shocking thing in this movie and there are quite a few points where something crazy is thrown in your face out of nowhere. Justice for Dawn- but I honestly would’ve sat on that clown’s lap too. And I’ve seen what you people do on this website- there’s no room for judgment.

Warnings: Holy shit. Where I do even begin with this? Severe/Aggressive gore, mutilation, torture, someone is forced to watch torture, human feces (putting emphasis on that one), and if you’re afraid of clowns just skip this one. Do it for yourself.

Jake is a college student who’s been having these strange dream-like visions. On his birthday, he goes to a party with his friends, where one of his friends, Conrad, signs him up for this game called ‘The Pathway’. Conrad says that the game will call him and give him tasks to complete. However, the game is not what it seems.

As the story unfolds, the movie turns into more of a religious horror [If you’re not comfortable with this genre, then you should probably skip this movie]

The plot twist is INSANE but the ending sort of brings up the question the viewer is wondering… Is it all in his head or was it the work of evil? I really love that they throw that thought in your face because it kind of forces you to think about the fine line between insanity and the supernatural.

Overall, it’s a really awesome movie and I will definitely be watching again. Plus it’s got Jensen Ackles in it and who doesn’t want to see him?

I’m going to add supernatural as a tag since I know the supernatural lovers who like Jensen Ackles are gonna wanna see this. (SPOILER- ish? There’s a sex scene between him and a friend and he’s moaning/whimpering, so I know damn well YOU want to watch that.)

Warnings: Religious horror, mild gore, mentions of rape/attempted rape (by a parents and by a professor), drug usage, devil worshipping (Should that be a warning? Idk), and of course a decent amount of deaths.

Hello nobody! I’m assuming barely anyone- if anyone at all- saw my last post. But in case anyone did see it, I made this blog while I was a little too faded last night and I had no memory of doing it until I opened the app.
