Bio!Dad Sherlock Holmes

Marinette was put up for adoption by her mother even before she was born. Sabine and Time adopted her and took her home from the hospital, having been there for her birth. No one knew who the father was, not even her biological mother. It was messy thing, honestly.

Marinette grew up the same way she did in show, though her intellect was so above average that she skipped three grades by the time she was eight. She loved puzzles form a young age and the bakery and family home are decorated with glued together and framed multi-thousand piece puzzles. She still loves to design and uses her intimate knowledge about clothes to help her deduce people.

She deduced Chloe to tears the first time they met. After that Chloe sort of stuck around, because she didn’t have to say anything but Marinette still knew and understood, which was such an amazing thing to the two of them.

Marinette is always underestimated by her classmates, even after she showed off her skills multiple times. This backfired on them really quickly because as soon as one of them crossed her, they were buried six feet under. She might have more emotional intelligence than her father but she was still Sherlock Holmes’s daughter.

Through Chloe Marinette quickly gained blackmail on several politicians and celebrities that stayed at the hotel and coveted all of those peices of evidence to use when she needed them. Sometimes she played a card, to get an outcome for something she deemed to be for the best. She also managed to gather a lot of favors and such in that time.

Marinette found Hawkmoth in the span of two months. She hacked the CCTV to track the origin point of the Akumas and went from there. The take down started with Gabriel Agreste, not the actual villain. She called in favors and debts. It worked wonders. Within twenty four hours, the Agreste fashion empire was crumbling to ash at her feet.

This caught Mycroft’s attention and he had Paris watched. That is how he found out about the threat and the girl behind it all. Hawkmoth was caught and procescuted within a week of Gabriel Agreste fleeing the elite scene with his tail between his legs. It was quite intriguing to watch it all crumble. Reminded him a little bit of a stunt his younger brother pulled a few months back.

Marinette graduated ahead of her age group, having moved up a few more grades since she was eight years old. She decided to go to college in London because why not. She had solved all of Paris’s mysteries and she was beginning to get bored. London would be a new playground. A fun one at that.

She was wrong. London was pretty boring and dreary. But what did it matter. College was somewhat interesting, though she had wanted to slam her head against a wall repeatedly after listening to some of the lectures she attended. At least the library was vaste and had variety.

Then, after her fourth month in England, something intresting happened. Sarah Williams, the American girl who lived in the dorm across the hall from her’s was found dead on the banks of the Thames.

She met her biological father in a spectacularly strange and completely on brand way. He and John were coming to look at the crime investigation at the dorm where the police were and they walked in on Marinette yelling at Donovan in rapid French and English, her blue eyes cold and regardless of her small stature she seemed to tower over Sgt.Donovan.

Everyone was watching with a strange mix of fascination and horror as the small girl took a deep, huffy breath then proceeded to cuss up a storm under her breath in English and French.

Apparently Marinette had burst into the room crying and begging the police to do something in French however when Dononvan tried to move a stack of books on Sarah Williams’s desk she stopped crying and started yelling at her. And proceeded to yell for about fifteen minutes.

Than, in English, Marinette declared that it was an abduction and murder by some petty organization that Sarah’s father owed money to. Apparently they tried too hard to make everything in the room appear normal. The dust patterns were important.

John just rounds on Sherlock and takes a deep breath. Than he proceeds to introduce himself to Marinette and asks if she would be amicable to take an ancestry test.

I see your “Apollo agreed so easily because he doesn’t care about Odysseus” and raise you “the god of prophecy knows that Odysseus is going to make it home, so he’s not going to make much of an effort to stop him.”

If I may ask, how is Ody doing in the Warrior! Penelope AU? Is he doing alright? How's he fending off the suitors swarming the palace for a shot at earning the heart of the King?(Even if we all know there's only one person with that claim) And how about Telemachus, is he doing okay?

In all seriousness, I am genuinely curious about your take on Odysseus and Telemachus in this AU, plus a little about the suitors.

he's spending 20 years pretending to string his old bow to buy time over the suitresses (is that a word?) (woman suitors.). Then the challenge is whoever gets to finish his wife's old shroud gets to be the new queen, and this beggar old woman somehow finishes it perfectly
